He literally had 50% of their points in the first half and 17 of their 23 in the first quarter. There’s a reason every one of them thanked him after the game. He was the main factor in this game period

Ocho not wrong, KD straight said in an interview after the game that they barely ran any plays towards the end and was just communicating and improvising on the fly to catch up and win.
And it was absolutely beautiful to watch. These dudes just said “screw it all. Let’s just take our whole life of basketball and put it together right here and right now.”
This was something truly epic to have witnessed. It was basketball in one of its most beautiful form.

I don’t think casuals understood how different the Olympics is compared to the NBA. Regular NBA players will turn into superstars in the Olympics , something about playing for their country brings out a different level in them it’s crazy . They also have months , if not years of chemistry from playing together verses the USA who threw a bunch of great players together and expected them to mesh easily , it doesn’t work like that . I know we’re spoiled by blowouts , but if you really love the game and understand how good this Serbia team is then you will realize how great this win was for the USA.

This might have been the signature game of Steph’s career. If he doesn’t play and shoot like he did… the USA loses. Plain and simple. Yes, Bron, KD and Embiid were great but Steph… Steph was the difference maker. Especially in that first half.

This game was the final. Team USA played Serbia's game and won. Serbia cut off team USA's fast break using fouls. Kerr should have put a faster team on the court and ran Serbia into foul trouble. I don't see France as big of a threat as Serbia. Embid scored 70 points against Gumbyana in the NBA. This game woke team USA up.
Final is like game 7 for both teams. They will be cautious.

Embiid played well, Booker & Holiday hit some key shots.. Steph finally had 1 of his games with lebron & KD as the closers. If you watched the group play game Serbia went off to an early lead. They just didn't hit shots. But if u watched Serbia vs Australia, Serbia showed what they can be when they hit they shots & get momentum. And they were down 24 to the aussies. All these national teams are good. But once USA started making shots, playing hard nose def, pull the w out. But by no means did USA take them lightly. 2nd half adjustments & better shooting got them to the gold medal game

Fiba/international ball is more physical, so it is hard to finesse the refs.

People need to recognize that Serbia have been playing together for years, which is why they have great chemistry. In addition, this is the third time they are facing each other in a few weeks, so it was going to be a tough game regardless. Great resilience by the U.S. team. It was fun seeing this team get pushed to the brink a few times already and seeing the stars figure it out and rely on one another cohesively. Still got one more game to go, but I’ve really enjoyed this team’s performance.
