I'm about to add a strange comment but let me start with how wonderful this lady sings. Now supposedly American Idol scours the entire country like in the last two years for singing talent; and yet the last two years there seemed to be an overall number of marginal singers in the top 10. Jena Irene was an exception, this year no one could stay on pitch and no one had a voice even close to people like this singer. I know Donna Taggart is an exceptional talent, but my goodness the AI team better do a better job. Does anyone have an explanation for this lack of talent found by AI?

Peter, I agree and sme shows are being cancelled like American Idol and they can blame themselves. Maybe a show that brings people like Donna to the stage will take over from these shows with screamers.
Ralph Ross Music, song, and dance is intrinsic to growing up in Ireland. I have been to many countries and I have been all over these USA, but I know in Nigeria other country except Ireland where singing a song, or quoting a poem, or playing on impulse in a social setting is so welcoming, acceptable, and appreciated. Maybe that's why Ireland produces people with good singing voices.
