I have an element ecto ( prity much same underpinnings ) and the main thing that swayed me to go for it was the quiet running . Can't be doing with noisy trucks when out for a drive . It dose perform well but all the pivot balls have worn fast and the steering servo and esc dident last . Now running a hobby wing 1080 crawler esc and injora servo has transformed it . Thanks for the vid 👍 great reviews as usual . Couple of rings of fuel tubing on the body posts will stop the rattle aswell 👍.not that you should have to for the price .
Thanks very much 👍 Yeah I'm sure with upgrades it would be really good, but for the price I expected more tbh. I appreciate sorting the body rattle out etc is an easy fix, but yeah you shouldn't have too. It amazes me sometimes what companies let go out the door thinking, yeah that's fine! 🤦 I would still like to try an Ecto though, should have just bought that instead! 🤣🤦
@@DoURC yes totally agree . The ecto was my first back into RC truck .so I paid the price for good out the box performance RTR but now I'm back in and know what I know .I'd go for one second hand and start there and save the money for upgrades . Need more long term reviews on these trucks to see how the fair over time . Fms has it for me these days you get a lot more for your hard earned and there very well made .👍
Very true. I still want to try a vanquish, but the portals version is just so expensive and I'm not 100% convinced it's worth it, as you'd still end up chucking more money at it. 😬
Yeah but you can't compare a WPL even to this Element RC, WPL everything needs upgrading and the Jimny is rubbish out the box. Their older stuff was better tbh. 👍
Those shock can be adjusted to be a bit softer, but changing the oil to something not as heavy, and also maybe the springs IF that is necessary after the oil and adjustment.
This is one of my hiking trucks (green model) and I've put at least 80 miles on it, probably more, hiking up the mesas in western Colorado. I've added a brushless motor, better tires and servo too. I also have the FMS FCX10-K5 (not upgraded) that gets as much hiking and crawling time. I still prefer the Bushido over the K5 for various reasons, but the relative cost and value between the trucks is notable, as you mentioned. I really would like a new platform from Element with similar value to other trucks. We'll see, I'm not sure if they are going to do that.
That's great feedback and I'm sure it has potential if you're happy to spend more on it. I'd definitely like to try something like the Ecto and see what that's like. 👍
Good looking rig to bad it's little brother did twice the work for half the price 😂 looks like FMS is king of the RTR, price performance and value. thanks for sharing
Great video. Not the best performer. Tyres and top heavy body have really compromised it. Did I notice that it was suffering from torque twist too at the end of the footage? Keep up the good work, love your content. 👍
I was really disappointed tbh. I'd hoped for more and fir the price it didn't deliver. I appreciate it can be upgraded etc, but then you're well deep into it! Hopefully the next Element I try will be better. 👍
Too bad. Sometimes you don’t know until you buy the R/C and try it firsthand. You can always sell and get something else. I really have to like the rig to spend more on upgrading it
Yeah it's a shame, as I really liked the Enduro12. If it was maybe a £100 cheaper I'd be happier with it, but for the price it was disappointing. Yeah will move it on and try something else. 👍
Think it has potential with a lot of brass thrown at it and has some great running gear but agree is way overpriced for what you get. That body rattle would drive me nuts 😢😂
Yeah the rattle just spoilt it for me. Granted you could sort it easily enough, but mods you 'have' to do are annoying vs ones you 'want' to do. 👍 Yeah I reckon with weighted wheels, brass etc it would be much better, but could probably just buy something better to begin with! 😬
@DoURC yep agree👍. mods are a given on any RTR but like you say sorting problems on something that cost ££ that much you shouldn't have to sort simple things like body fitment. Considering you can pay half that on other brands and not have to, I would expect it to be sorted seeing you are paying premium money 💰 🤷♂️.
@DaddyDaughterRC-sw2zb If you were to go brushless, new wheels, tyres, radio gear, it's suddenly a very expensive RC still with less features than others way cheaper! Hopefully we start to see some more cool brushless rtr's soon, that would be great. 👍

$430 you are getting close to Vanquish money!

Especially since you can get a wpl samurai for $70 and it doors open

I appreciate it can be modified, was just a shame they were so stiff out the box. Still had some lovely flex on it though. 👍

You run on the same rock as I do on the west coast Scotland thanks nice run I liked it seemed to do OK for no brass cheers
I'm in Wales, so probably similar rocks. 👍
It's a nice spot.
It did better on the rocks than trail, not worth the price tag though imo. 👍
@DoURC it did do better on rock but I'm sure you'll upgrade the element making it better
@Rc_Alex_76 Tbh I'm going to move it on and try something else. 👍
@@DoURC that's a pity maybe a scratch build

🤣 Yeah, not great value for money was it. When you consider what you get with the FCX10 K5, this is a crazy price! 😬
Very Nice 🎉
@@PaulomarcosgodriGodri Thanks very much. 👍

Yeah, not great for the price. Real shame as the Enduro12 was great value imo.
Yeah it was twisting a bit at times. 👍
No idea why anybody should buy it. Fully agree, far too expensive.

Thanks very much mate. 👍😎
Is a Cute and Good Looking Rc truck!!!
But is Indeed a little expensive!!!
Yeah, I do like the look, but definitely too expensive. 👍
The new RGT EX86020 INTRUDER is a good looking one and for the price is for me a better choise

Absolutely @@DoURC
Should be $300 or less. For that price you've got so many better options.
Totally agree. 👍😎
It’s dumb not that much shorter than enduro short wheel base 😂
🤣🤣🤣
$200 more and you can get a full metal HG p415 hummer
Yeah it's way too expensive for what it is really. 👍
Dunno man. $430 can buy some nice upgrades for my real truck.
Could buy you a better RC too with change! 🤣👍
Hard pass, id get the ifs2 rig thats about it.
Yeah I still haven't tried one of those, to me they seem like a trophy truck setup not a crawler, but maybe I'm wrong! 🤷♂️
@DoURC I seen one do some sick lines at red rocks, changed my mind on it 💯% keep up the good work, I like it alot.
@TrokaRC Ah ok, interesting. Now I need to try one! 🤣👍
Thanks very much. 👍😎
