Gonna practice the combo just so I can test that, I guess. LOL. ... Gonna try it on FightCade again, 3SOE and, fuck it, 30AC.

Sf4 series was all about combos, super, ultras and focus attack. Sf5 series has a v guage system unique to each character but many people dont like it and say its a gimmick.
Rukir It's still there if you're using a controller and press the touchpad plus taunt since that's mapped to start by default, or just remap start to a different button if you're not using a controller
Fun fact: There is exactly one realistic and practical scenario where Remy can get his taunt off and it allows him to stack all 4 of them. I think you're only ever going to see it on Urien, though maybe you can get it off on Oro. You have to hit the handcuff glitch where a projectile hits you during your neutral throw animation. This locks the opponent in place allowing you to taunt and build meter as time permits. A basic jump-in combo to super will grant you about 75% stun.
There is actually another thing about gills taunt, it also multiply’s the damage he takes as well. Not many people know that Sometimes people use that for combo videos as well

Hugo taunt single boosts next attack + raises defense (can be done four times). Held taunt buffs throw damage for one shot. Poison taunt covers up your movements. I may be mistaken but I believe Gill takes double damage when hit during his taunt?
i know im pretty late but ken’s taunt also does damage when he waves his hand. you’ll probably never hit it and it does the same about of damage as most taunts but still

I think Vampire Savior Dark Force answers that best. Or Plasma Sword. Ex moves debuted in Darkstalkers as ES moves. One could argue segmented supers from the alpha series was a step in those directions too.
Koing with any taunt is OP as far as tilt goes, but I think Elena or Necro's taunts take the cake. Dudley and Sean's taunts are too useful, and Ken and Yun are too good as characters, but KOing with Elena and Necro's (can you KO with Ibuki's?) is like a dick punch.

Some taunts are only good for a shot even when blocked. Others are more specific. The ones that boost your next attack damage are lost if you are hit and may not necessarily be used if you use a throw. Makoto for instance can command grab and retain her damage boost.
How do i do Sean's taunt where he jumps to get the basketball but intentionally misse's it last second to trow you off. Please read carefully, im aware of when you taunt and then taunt again real fast where no ball shows at all. Thats not what im asking. @Shoryuken The Taunts IMO are both a hinderance & a help. I did Q's Max taunt to get the MAX defense & it seemed like the CPU would boost up its strength. A 3 hit combo on 2040 HP Q would do a scratch of damage, but the AI Necro did a BS combo that took's Q life bar to normal. WTF?!

you don't need to taunt though. "360s" only need to be 270s to come out, meaning you can do 6248X and get the command grab without jumping

I think that the timed supers (yun sa3, yang sa3, oro sa 1 and 3, makoto sa3 and q sa3 ) were the inspiration.

I think a lot of the charge v-skills like Urien's or Honda VS2 are more similar. SF6 also has some of this like Ryu Denjin charge
