If white doesn't take the queen at 2:50, you won't get checkmate, but you got a free knight. Plus, white doesn't got many good moves. So Qxf3 is still a good move. :)
I loved the final sentence; you can take the queen orrrrr you can give checkmate! I think I'm finally learning to think ahead with these videos
Strategy, openings, mddlegame, endgames and other bits and pieces.
Mato, in exercise at 1:00, you can checkmate in only one move. It's "Ng1"
No way, rook takes knight. :)
and sorry again, it is not checkmate at 7:50 Kh2 but then Qh3, Kg1, Qg2 then checkmate. Thanks for the very good videos you have done, love them all :-)... Keep up the good work...
mato can you make a positional exercise because my tactics is very good i dont need anymore i will overload i need positional thank you
Mato, at 2:55, could you please expain why does white pawn have to take black queen? There is no check there and it is not a forced move.
It's not a forced checkmate at 2:54 because, the pawn don't have to take the queen.
Sir Mato I have a question beside tactic training what should a chess player concentrate on ( for training)
Hi, Mato! Great video as always. Just one question: at 4:35, what is the purpose of Qc4+ deflecting the white bishop? why not just Rxh2 right away?
at the final position the last one is actually a mate in 2
The suckerpunch video it was so beautiful
because if rook takes the pawn on h2, white queen takes the knight on f8, after King takes the white queen, rook to e8 is mate!
at 2:53 what if white played g3 instead?
It's not checkmate, you can bring the Rook in front, g2 to g6. And what would you do now?
You missed something. After ...Kh7 then it's not Qxg7 but Bd3+ and it's checkmate.
If black does not play Qc4 then after white sacs queen to take knight, Re8 is checkmate
1:45 not six moves, only 3. Bishop to a6 check if qeen go to h5 or c4 than knight to c3 checkmate, if king go to f3 than knight to f6 check than only move is qeen to e4 qeen takes and checkmate
That last position was NOT checkmate yet. After black bishop to f1 with surprise check from black queen, white king will be able to escape from h3 to the dark square of h2.
at 4:35 I saw this insted... Black Queen to c5, W.Qxf8 (check) B.Kh7, W.Qxg7, B.Rxg7, W.Bxg7, B.Qxb5 (check), W.Kg1, B.Kxg7, W.Re3, B.Qb1, W.Re1, B.Qg6, W.Re3, B.Qg2 check, W.ke1, B.Qh1 check, now I won't write the rest. It was maby not the quickest way, but that was what I saw.
nvm i see it now, if Rxh2?? right away then white can eventually play Re8#. Brilliant.
what a bout rook f1 at 5:30? Seems pretty forcing to me.
No checkmate, but a lost queen at least
white will play rook to e2 (forced), then Qxb5, Qe8, white still suffers a heavy material loss... nice one!!!
now that checkmate I accepting. :-)
ha, ha - not easy, but fun. You're forcing an old man to use his brain, Mato.
Minute 2 45 its not a force mate you dont take .
Then Qxg7 mate because Rook is pinned by the Bishop :)
Oh Mato, Mato. I like your videos, but at 2:50... this is hope chess. :/ You can't hope, that your opponent will take the queen. Mating tactics are supposed to be FORCED. Other than that, pretty cool, although a bit easy for someone who has been solving similiar ones for a while.
would lose material.
First!
