This new album has gotten a ton of play with me ever since they released it. Best they’ve done to date imo and straight up the best thing I’ve heard a really long while.
@@jacknapier8774 haven’t listened to this song since a year, don’t know why it fell from the cracks….thanks man for your comment made me come back and listen again 😊
SK do you know which podcast ol’ Billy gives them a shoutout on? I don’t listen to much MMP these days but I’d love to get the Burr take. Looked these guys up ‘cause they play my city on Friday
@@johncallow5532 Sorry I don't think I've heard him actually shout them out directly, I've only heard this song twice on his podcast since I listen on and off.
@@Matt_Huffman I don't know if they don't want to be associated with Ol' Freckles or why did they deactivated the comment section on the studio version?
@@michaelcohen4477 agreed.I heard this for the first time today on Bill Burr's podcast.I'm wondering if he's a Fleetwood Mac fan cause his voice in the first couple of verses has a Stevie Nicks influence.Am I crazy for hearing that?
hibread1 definitely has the same sound! Someone the other day told me they thought he was the male version of Stevie and I laughed a bit but then after thinking about it..I believe they’re right!
I know this is a super old comment at this point but I’ve seen them maybe 4 times I think and they always play like they are just giving a taste. Wish I could see them do a longer set list. They usually are the headliner around my city but still just feel like a small band. They are so great.
I like how the bass is more pronounced. I didn't think this song couod get any more perfect. They play it and he sings it pretty much right to the record. That added bass is everything tho
Man. I discovered this band because they opened for someone in Vancouver. Can’t remember who. James Bay? Mumford? Hozier? Lord Huron? Can’t remember, because that band was boring and generic. This band stole the show and blew me away and have been with me ever since.

Literally one of the best songs ever written. Both my kids stop and stare at the tv when it comes on

Sounds like a male version of Stevie nicks! Love the vibrato in his voice! Great tune! 🎼 Diggin the 70’s vibe!
That's who I thought it was at first until I read the comments section on Bill Burrs podcast. I'm so glad I found it
totally!
Keep me in mind really has a Fleetwood Mac vibe going on
YES this song totally gives me Fleetwood Mac vibes
So much better, though.
How is this band not fucking huge!? I can play their entire catalog on repeat for days without having to skip a song
I heard it on Bill red balls podcast, but he said give credit to Andrew themeles for his music recommendations. Great song 👍 Andrew, this band rocks 👌
same they played strands align and i googled the lyrics immediately
Haha. Exactly where I had heard it from.

@@johncallow5532 Billy doesnt shout them out, his producer is responsible for selecting any music played on the podcast so he deserves the credit.
@@dylanbgear Oh wow I didn't know that, well I certainly like his/her tastes in music then.
With so much trash on the radio lately this is a beautiful reminder of what real music sounds of
This is why they are my favorite band
Thanks Billy Burr
CB He sent me here too. Actually looked it up thinking it was gonna be older.
same here

Oh ffs way to ruin this fucking song.

Saw them in Nashville a few weeks back. One of the best sounding live bands I’ve heard. Fun guys to hang out with and talk music with.
Saw these guys at the Red Herring in Duluth, MN. Excellent and intimate presence in that small venue. Cant wait to catch them down the road.
Found this song via Bill Burr's podcast 10/10.
Can’t wait for the October show here in Houston!!!!
Love you guys so much ❤
Thanks The Ocean Blue, for mentioning this band.

So many nights I've been dreaming of somebody
Walking through my treelined grove
Caught up and lust in my wild-eyed scheming
I can't seem to cope
With any old love
At times they may grow harder, yeah
Ooh don't you leave me, don't go
There's something around here I'm trying to outgrow
Alameda
Alameda, don't go
The silence around me, it pulls me below
Keeping your dreams and your fingers tied
Oh it just seems so hard
Cuffing my leisure, I'm counting my numbers
Crippled by your spare lover's eyes
Just give it to me
Of all of that it surrounds you
Ooh don't you leave me and go
Some ways you need me, in others I hope
Alameda
Alameda, don't go
There's someone around here who'll pull you right home
Yet somehow I'm caught up, up in it again
But they don't know your dreams until they're stealing them away
And while it calls for you
Oh well it's cause for me too
But could you say my name for me?
I'd do it though I don't know how
Well I love when you take the ride home
Can you relieve me and pull me below?
Alameda
Alameda, aglow
How many nights must I go it alone?
And somehow I lost you again
I've been waiting for my doubts
I've haven't seen them around
