Thanks for posting these videos. They have encouraged me to fish the Broadwater again after doing nothing but offshore for a few years. Really enjoyed it, great fishing a few minutes from the ramp.

How much drag do you set with your rods out while in the holder ?

    • @tightlines7549
      @tightlines7549  3 года назад

I loosen the drag right off
But the bigger rod that I float a pilchard on is a bait runner
      Thanks for watching

Thank you for the tips. My son and I went hunting snapper around the green channel markers between Sovereign Islands and The Aldershots. We used cat food in the burley but ended up catching a heap of forked tail catfish. Any tips on avoiding these pests?

      Hi Duncan
Haven't been out for a while
I always seem to get a lot of catfish after a lot of rain
I think they get push down from up river
We had a shit load of rain not long ago
One of the problems with using burley some days you can't get away from the Vernom
Can really push your buttons a times
Keep at it that's fishing it's always great bonding time with your son
      Thanks for watching 😃

Hi mate just back from holiday
I find to fish when it's a bit windy
If it is blowing north to north east I fishing the out going tide
When blowing south to south east incoming tide is best
The reason for this is your boat will be anchor with what the wind is doing
facing the right way the tide is running
So you can usually avoid the boat blowing around to much

    Hi jay
Iam away at the moment no go pro
Get around 1metre of 20lb trace tie the 4/0 circle hook
to one end and swivel to the other end
put on main line appropriate size sinker for how fast current is
Connect the main line to other side of swivel
    Good luck 🐟Tight lines 👍
