Ikr even though he didn't win an individual immunity he proved that he deserve to win.
The reason I say this is because he played a strategy that normally wouldn't work for most people. He was very in your face, but wasn't really nasty about it.

Spencer's shout out at the finale tribal council was spot on. Tony played the game 100% and he followed his wife's advice: Don't do anything stupid. That's what he did.
I like Tony, he played a really great game and he deserved to win even though I was rooting for Spencer. Tony is one of the best survivor players of all time along with Boston Rob, Kim Spradlin, Todd Herzog, and Cochran.

I hate looking on Facebook's Survivor. It's just a bunch of mothers who are crying 'omg tony lied, he no good, he shouldnt win!!!!!!' Jesus, I don't know what show they're expecting when they watch Survivor but Tony played one hell of a game.

Tony is a great dude. Yeah, he did some shady shit on the show but IT'S A GAME. He played the game extremely well and he seems to be a great guy in real life. Roll Tony!
Tony really proved himself to be one of the greatest Survivor winners of all time. In my opinion, his only shortcoming was his non-existent puzzle skills. He definitely matched the rest when it comes to physicality, but always fell short when it was a puzzle. The really great player were always pretty good at puzzles (Boston Rob, Fishbach etc). But other than that, his ability to differentiate real life from the game definitely allowed him to play a great game.
I have one thing to say: great player and huge character!

i really respect Tony now for being able to acknowledge his actions in the game and how they're not something to be proud of in the real world.

I loved Tony- rooted for him from the get-go all the way through. He never stopped playing and he's a lion of a personality and I love that- yet he is also so humble and sweet you can just tell- I just want to hug him and say congrats! #SuperFan #GoTony you earned it. Spy shack and finding the idols- come on- what an awesome guy.

Tony is a deserving winner and definitely in the Top 5 Survivor Winners.
Tony & Kass were my favourites of the season.
I'm not sure why the jury kept saying that Tony is a villain when the object of the game is to vote people out and be the last one standing.
He blind sided LJ because he was a threat. But he did give LJ an immunity idol when he thought he needed it. Also, LJ was first in wanting to blind side someone in their alliance (Woo).
Jefra wanted Tony out first. And the very real threat of an all girl alliance was looming and had they voted out a guy, making it 4 girls to 2 guys, a girl alliance definitely would have happened just like in previous episodes.
Trish was voted out only because Spencer won immunity. Tony and Trish were outnumbered with Woo joining Spencer and Kass. It was either Tony or Trish. So even if he initially swore on his dead dad, he had to change up and side with Woo's plans for that particular Tribal.
But it should be noted that Trish has stated, that at some point she was going to blind side Tony.
With all Sarah's talk about badge and honor, she would occasionally be involved in plans to take Tony out behind his back.
They all come off as hypocrites and sore losers who have no shame in showing it.
Tony played a very clever and highly entertaining game. And for a Survivor winner, he played a very kind one. Always making sense. Nothing malicious.

Million dollar SPY SHACK!
Well just to be fair to the Jury, majority of them showed that they truly weren't sore losers when they voted for the right, deserving person to win (Tony).
Matthew Enriquez Jefra was a nut case saying that Tony hurt the WHOLE jury. Tony only blind sided 3 people(out of 9). And for obvious reasons.
Most of them were WAY too emotional. As if they'd never seen Survivor before. I mean all those hypocrites would have eventually had to lie or break promises to win.
Morgan was great though.
But for the most part I think they just voted for Tony because they were upset with Woo's play. They were hoping Tony wouldn't make it to the final 2 for "moral" reasons. But when Woo chose Tony, most of them decided to give Tony the million out of their bitterness towards Woo.
That said Season 28 was the best. The final 4 was epic. You had the archetypal awkward, frustrated nerd. The agitating, annoying lawyer. The street smart, clever cop. And the honorable, martial arts instructor in Woo.
They couldn't have been anyone but themselves if they tried. And the season played itself out like a great story.
Agreed. It's unfortunate that CBS only realized NOW that having casts of all new players for most of the seasons was the best way to have these great stories play out rather than bringing back people repeatedly. Oh well, better late than never.
?. Awww. new players is what it's all about but for them to not know what the rules are is silly. This is season 28.
Yeah what made this season so great was that everyone was playing hard to win and made things REALLY entertaining. The last time there was an all-new cast was in One World where Kim (who was amazing) pretty much was handed a free win by playing with complete amateurs. Hope the casts are always like this season's from now on.

Tony, was one of my favorites, and I would want to meet him personally. Same with Kass and Spencer. If I was on Survivor and they were on the same time with me, I would try to get an alliance with them.

Kyle Ferrero jeff probst is in his own world. The you can tell which seasons he has a big influence on because it's the ones that suck. I can't believe he thinks people like the redemption island or blood vs water twists.

When everybody says this is the game ( and a lot of kids watch it ) what does it say? This show should be renamed: How To Be The Best Liar/
I understand the concept of survivor but does that imply throwing everybody else under the bus, manipulating and befriending and then betraying all those that helped you survive?
Now for a cop to do it and swear on everything he loves, I find repulsive. Of course, that came easy to him, as he has probably worked undercover and that's what they do.
As far as strategy and game plan goes, the Korean guy did not deserve to win. Yes, it's great to be honorable but not in this game. He himself had said that he would be the most stupid guy in the world if he brought in Tony to the final two. And so, he was. He had no chance but apparently he had an ego, as he thought that he could beat the best player.
He got played and he definitely forgot what kind of game he was playing. Tony did what he had to do to win but I don't condone swearing on his wife, his child and his dead father.
Those are sacred and he could have still won without it. I respect his strategy but can't respect him as a man!

In my opinion the top winners in terms of "overall perforamnce" are: 1.) Tom Westman, 2.) Kim Spradlin, 3.) Parvati Shallow, 4.) Brian Heidik, 5.) Natalie Anderson, 6.) Sandra Diaz [in HvH], 7.) Rob Mariano, 8.) Yul Kwon, 9.) TONY VLACHOS, and 10.) Earl Cole.
There are reasons the other eight played a better game but he earns a spot in the top 10 for sure!
Tony played a great game. I would consider him a top 5 winner if he hadn't been so paranoid. But other than the fact that he had some paranoia and didn't have the three C's, he played nearly a perfect game. Definitely deserved the win.

In the beginning of the show until late after the merge, I hated Tony b/c of the blindsides he did. Later I saw his strategy was working for him really well and he was working hard @ the camp & looking non-stop for the idols. The interviews after each episode shown on RUclips help to understand more of each character of the show. In the end I wished and asked for divine intervention that Tony deserve to win as the sole survivor. Woo made a million dollar mistake by taking Tony to the final 2 instead of Kass. Congratulations to Tony and all the cast of survivors for making this season the best ever if not top 5.

the thing that still bothers me about tony is he's still lying! i mean i know he knows he has to say that whenevr he swore on his dead pappa or cat or whatever he meant it....but he didnt! after each promise and swearing he would make a confessional about how he could swear on anything and it doesnt matter. hes playing a game. he just got guilt shamed by the jury.
