- The Chicago Bulls have been struggling to win game this season. Michael Jordan's dynastic run is so far away from what this current Bulls team looks like. At the moment, the Bulls are once again reaping the mistake of rushing a rebuild into win now mode with a mediocre aging core. And before that, they passed on the one player that resembled Jordan in many ways.

And yes it was Reinsdorf that pulled the trigger on breaking the team up. I actually felt sorry for Krause. Yes he had the little man syndrome but it wasn't all his fault. He was told to do his job, and he did. Probably one of the greatest General managers in NBA history. He deserved better than what he got. Not saying he wasn't an ass. You don't get to that level without some kind of of asshole streak. Much respect for all of the Bulls and Derick Rose was awesome. Hate he got hurt. But what a comeback story. They paid Lavene 200 million plus for 5 years. WOW

I think a huge issue was the loss of Jerry Krause in the front office
People blame Jim Buss for the mess of the Lakers from 2013 to 16, the same can be said for Reinsdorf and the reputation that creates from the dismantling of the Bulls after the 1998 season. No big free agents wanted to come to Chicago because nobody trusted the higher ups just like with Jim Buss with the Lakers.

As a Bulls fan, who was not alive to see the glory days of Michael Jordan live, the past 2 decades have been a combination of frustration towards the higher ups and a sad realization of what might have been. What if Derrick Rose never got injured? What if we kept the dynasty afloat going into 1999? What if we never traded away Elton Brand and built the team around from 2000 season?
Max Zach, was a massive mistake, Levine is just a role player.
