Had a bit of trouble setting up the mounts to the tv since there aren’t really any videos specifying on how to do it plus the instructions aren’t really clear for that part. We had this same design and one night at 3 AM we heard a sound like a cinder block dropped from 10 feet to the hardwood floor. When we looked, it was our LCD TV 36" laying face down onto the hardwood floor. The top glass shelf did not crack or break, but the metal brackets and sections gave way. It's not repairable, I tried, so we decided no more glass TV stands and no more TV stand type device for more than $150-$199.99. YMMV

You must’ve made some kind of mistake building it. My mothers stand is still going strong since I made this video building it.

How much did your tv weight? Im thinking about getting one these for my 55 tv but it weights 60 lbs im afraid in the long run the glass will break or the tube holding all weight will break the glass from all the pressure

FORGOT TO ADD: Even during/after the shelf collapse, not a single piece of glass from any shelf broke. I found that to be impossible, but it was true. The metal parts failed.
