I’ve been waiting for a proper Steel Figure for years. Hesitated on Mafex. Mcfarlanes Steel wasn’t the move for me. Finally picked this Mafex Steel. Damn, excellent figure.
Mafex has been killing it with the Death and Return of Superman stuff. I'm all in on the figures, even Superboy. You should definitely review Cyborg Superman, just because it'll give you a reason to open him. I ended up taking out the bits that prop up the cape on him, and he looks even better.
Right on. Glad to see you were able to get your hands on one of these. I definitely agree about the metallic finish, there’s something about the shade that REALLY works for me.
Mafex classic Thor is based on his 1st app in the 60s when he was depicted as being the same hgt as Cap and Ironman who are both 6'2. Marvel didn't make Thor taller until the early 70s when they increased his hgt to 6'6. Hopefully Madex gives us a 70s/80s Thor at that hgt, which should put him as t Steel's scale.
@@oscrmc8496 Im telling u now. DO NOT SLEEP on the Mafex Cap figure. Wait til the in hand pics start to float around once it’s released. Trust and believe it to will be the Definitive Captain America figure in 1/12 without question.
Always enjoy watching reviews of figs already have!!!! Much more fun to play with one while watcing someone plays with the same toy!!!!!!! Keep going at it bro!!!!!!!

Mafex is DC Icons reincarnated and the fact that they have the Marvel license as well is what a lot of people were clamoring for to have dream matchups in figure form that scale with each other and have the same type quality.
I picked up another off of Hobby Genki. He's on sale for 44 bucks and will probably run you another 20 bucks or so for shipping depending on who you go with in case anyone still needs em.
I do think the pinned comment is more effective than leaving something on the vid description but you got it this time xD I'll wait for the review of the minotaur Thalos, I'll wait and trust you'll finish it ☮️
Mafex Steel is my 2023 Figure of the Year. Mafex Thor is ok but not an absolute must-have. Cyborg Superman is a review I'd like to see you do. Amazing Mafex figure.
I’m still trying to decide of I should wait for the Mcfarlane version. I’m not as much a perfectionist as others, I think the Mcfarlane cyborg Superman is butt though
For me, the non mainline character I want to see Mafex do the most would be The Question (Charles Victor Szasz version)... I've always loved the character and don't know much about him, but those old JLU episodes with him and Huntress would make me LOVE to have him and her together (seeing as how Mafex released a version of her as well). But in general I'd love to see him as a figure. AND, because I was a huge fan of the 90's Young Justice comics, now that they've revealed a Death/Return of Superman Superboy and EVERYONE wants a Mafex Hush Tim Drake Robin, I'd also kill to see a Bart Allen Impulse to go along with those two! (once they finally debut a Tim of course xD)
Hi i was wondering which e store did you use for mafex cuz i want to order a mafex figure but dont know any good sites. I ve been told thar hobby link Japan is good but i need to save up for the figure i am just wondering a good time for thr charge and delivery time . Ps i loved steel back in the i still have my 90s toys
Yessir! Finally! I love this figure. I have a few things I'd say are nitpicks: an unmasked head would've been cool, a rivet launching effect would've been cool(similar to azbats), and maybe the heads could be just a hair bigger. Those are all minor things, though. I'm glad you like the figure!
Yeah all of that would have been cool but as is, it’s pretty close to perfect! But yeah man thanks for helping convince me to get this! You were killing it with Steel pics for like a month straight haha
The Mafex Thor was a HUGE disappointment!!! He’s my favorite character and I was really looking forward to it but when I got it, it was a dud. Way too small. That revoltech is looking damn sweet tho. Gonna be so much fun to play with👌🏼
It's always a tragedy when a company releases a great figure of a character I have zero interest in. I know a lot of people in the community are nostalgic for the 90s given the average age of people in this community, but the 90s were an overall awful period for comics compared to the heights of the 70s and 80s lol
@BrandonNielsen87 I was rather fond of the 90s Image books but yeah DC kinda went to pot there for a while losing some of their best. There were obvious exceptions of course! Superman Death & Return, Knightfall and Emerald Twilight being some of the brighter spots.
Make sure to check out Casting Cave, damn it!

You should definitely open up that Mafex Cyborg Superman next! He is really really good and the sculpt is incredible too! Great review btw!

Nobody does comics figures like Mafex. DC or Marvel characters NOBODY is on Mafex level🔥🔥🔥
For real! They are pretty untouchable at this point!
@@UnparalleledUniverse S-Tier status for sure.
The Mafex Captain America pics say otherwise...

Yes their figures look just out of the comics. I love how they don't try blending real world with comic. Just be 100% true to source material.
Thanks for the review. Steel is on my list of import figures to acquire including Cyborg Superman.

Awesome review, yo. Definitely review that Cyborg when you get the chance. Mafex been giving us the comic figures we need, and I love it!

Much appreciated.
great review. I have this figure and it is awesome.
Amazing how they got the blue chrome to match the 90s Kenner figure.
What a beautiful fig
Yep u convinced me to get him and he’s great
I had a bunch of things hit and Steel was one of the figures I cut. I might have to get him though 🤔
cyborg superman review would be great, i'm on the fence of buying that figure

Mandatory comic, this was a great one. Always enjoy your reviews, but nothing tops comic book figures.
and YES! review Cyborg Superman
Imagine Jada Toys getting their hands on the DC license!
Yeah!
What if mafex makes a chrome edition of steel?🤔
I bought this figure on plaza im so excited for it.

The Mafex Thor is garbage in my honest opinion. Mafex should go back to the drawing board and redo him.
You just love this because you love Shaq Fu, true Fu shnick.
He was true Fu Shnick!
You should definitely get Mafex Thor, I think is great and I want to see you review him.
No
Beautiful piece of plastic!
I'd love to see a release of him in his first armor from his original comic.
