@@fatimapusa6006 the language ITSELF hits different when u actually understand it haha. korean is an extremely poetic language naturally, since the grammar structure is literally the opposite of english. trust me, as a korean american i see both sides of the coin and the korean lyrics (that do not do well when translated) are absolutely beautiful, and she conveys that emotion flawlessly. just because you understand one language over the other does not mean she is better for english songs.
I really like Rose's vocal color.. she is unique, she knows how to technique, articulate, and adjust the diaphragm well. Rose sings with my heart as I close my eyes. even though I don't understand Korean, the tone and voice are very harmonious making the vibe of sadness and strong energy. oh yeah when Rose sings the song "livin' la vida loca" she looks like shakira.. very cool, unique, and she manages to bring it with her own style. good work!! sorry it's just my opinion and admire it. Came here from another 3rd gen main vocal song cover and I can see why Rosé won the YG auditions. She has a charming unique voice. She is YG's gem. She is hard-working and very kind. Their stage director was so excited for her solo because he witnessed how Rosé would always thank each of the staff even for simple things like giving her water at the mid of stage performance. All her achievements as BP member and as a soloist is very much deserved!
