I grew up listening to Mulray, there has been no radio breakfast show or station that compares to how this show was presented-no B/S that was the way it was.
In this day and age of radio networks and syndication we have definately not progressed forward.
After all who had a carictures done of the breakfast team ? Doug did , that was the Mulray family calender.
I guess a piss take on themselves . Does anyone remember this chestnut?
Look at today -songs on high rotation and mindless dribble from most of the breakfast crews.
Bring back uncle Doug on his terms.
We live in hope that the future could be the past in this case.

Why did it take so bloomin long to recognise this man's contribution to radio? Well done Mr Mulray. This acolade deserved to be front page news.
Fabulous to see the Uncle in good health and vocally active. It was magic to hear Uncle Doug and Ken Sterling play various characters, like the two farmers telling us things were, "Not good. Not Bad". And so many others we cannot remember. The one best line from Doug was, "I think I've got a stiffy". Later when Denton and Gibson arrived, the show was a real must turn on part of life. Great radio and excellent talent. Thanks a lot and congratulations.

I had a brief but poignant involvement with Doug at the height of his fame, and feel to this day the warmth of his genuine, delightful soul, white-hot mind, child-like treading of the difficult edge, and depth of genuine being. Wonderful news on the induction.

We were damn lucky to have grown up with Uncle Doug being politicaly incorrect and seemingly taking no political sides, even though he was the first man to be pulled off on live TV by Kerry (the richest man in the universe) Packer. Hehehe!

I got on camera too, I was so embarrassed, after the ad break, the camera man zoomed in on me grabbing some pizza out of the box ( pizza hut delivered pizza to the set as part of the show.
I'm still trying to find the episode on tape to keep.
