I travelled through Thailand 4 x and loved Songkran festival. I was of the opinion if you cannot beat them, join them; so got myself a water soaker and joined the locals. They loved it.
Happy Songkran guys! 🎉 It is New Year here in Sri Lanka (13th & 14th) too with many rituals being followed for achieving good fortune and prosperity in the coming year. Lots of fireworks too but no water fights here. 😊
Loved this. Song Kran was my favourite time of year in Thailand. Brought back some amazing memories thanks. Even caught the local policeman who agreed to be soaked by the big farang surrounded by children

My dad and I are acting heroes which is the Ghostbusters by holding on an icebox by celebrating Songkran festival at Pattaya while we're at Bangkok for our own holiday travels idea. Both of us are also splashing icewaters get others for a good future for them to be enjoying with blessings too as it makes sense for us to respect them.

I am married to a Thai girl, and she has a 12 yo boy, and this will be my first willing participation in the water festival, as the last 12 years I have been a single 45 year old foreigner, and mostly away working, or stayed away from the craziness. Wish me luck….

Happy Songkran everyone. Lot's of fun. The only bad I ever had was some farangs that though it was funny to aim for the eyes with their super soaker. Embarrassing. I told them that they were the only people of thousands in Chiang Mai behaving with that kind of spirit. And perhaps to consider that you're blessing people with good wishes for the new year when you soak them, (not in the eyes).
Both years I lived in Thailand I got stuck with Songkran in Bangkok. I hear it is blast up in Chiang Mai. I sprayed my kids with the hose while checking on my lawn this morning just to keep the spirit of the water festival going here in the US.
Been doing songkran in my wife's sister's town. HatYai. I'm the only farang and get hit with water every turn. 2 days is enough for me lol. Did Pattaya last year and that was insane

Damo looked like she was having the most fun of everyone. Thats as it should be. Otis looks like he was having fun also though. Damo just got in charge and took care of the motorcycle for you. Really enjoyed the video.
