    I tapered down off subs to quick! But I lost my insurance. Luckily I found out when I had a half month left of my meds. I worked the most even tapper I could with what I had and stuck to it!! But the withdraws still hit me good. It’s day 17 no day 18 and I’m starting to feel better, 100% no I am not. I worked every day through this. My job is very labour intensive but I really want to remember this feeling of crap and pain!! Far to long I’ve used drugs in my life now I’ve used more years than I have been clean in my life and that’s counting from birth and my teen years!! I’m almost 55 now even after so many years on drugs it was and now still doable getting off subs!! Hang in there things get better after a couple weeks!! Good luck just my two bits!!

    I'm just about tapered off!!
    I cut all my doses in half everytime I taper down. Side effects I get when I do this is, I get the shits, I get a little anxious, I sleep good for the most part (sometimes nightmares,) a little harder waking up, and little more tired at the end of the work day.
    Not as bad as it sounds. Absolutely doable, nothing wrong with a little discomfort in your life!

    Doc!! I missed your first solo live stream damn. For me Ive always struggled fighting that “little devil” on the shoulder that whispers in my ear daily that I “need to take a little more”. Sometimes I can consciously catch it when it happens which is when I do best with things. I really think staying consistent with prayer and meditation will go a long way keeping the devil off my back. Have a great weekend brother! 👍 you should do more live streams…

    Still after reducing to 8mg more than 18 months ago I still have more bad months than good . Hardest part is when the demons approach. They bring my past and all my regrets with them. Sleep is crap even though I’m doing the right things . Was asked last month if I wanted to increase my dose which has me searching for a new dr.

    Anybody ever tried to go from 16 mg to 0.5 mg and fight through it til you stabilize that’s what I’m doing rn I have done it before it took like 8-10 days to somewhat stabilize but it’s weird I never get to full blown withdrawal it’s like partial like my body eats up whatever little subs I put in

    My question is my life is great for 4 years now my question is that I'm ok on 2 8mg of subs 16 MG aday for almost 4 years? But I'm afraid of coming down from that amount because I'm doing so good my doctor doesn't say anything about tapering me down so do you think as a doctor knowing about suboxone is this ok in your opinion? Thanks for all your videos doctor. GodBless

    • @dr.chrispark
      @dr.chrispark  2 года назад +2

      I have many patients that are staying on medication for an indefinite amount of time. You shouldn't feel pressured to taper. But I also don't want people to feel they are stuck forever on meds and that's why I do the videos. Everyone is different. The main thing is you stay clean, work on your relationships, goals, spiritual life, and talk to your doctor. Sounds like you are doing great. Good job!

    • @bryce4589
      @bryce4589 2 года назад

      My story is exactly the same as yours. Almost 4 years on 16mg per day. Yes, I want to taper but it has become such a part of my everyday routine that the thought of changing things just freaks me out. I look at Suboxone like a shield. I know that I can't be tempted or do anything because I'm on it so I go about my day. But I guess I would like to taper to make sure I'm strong enough without it. But starting the taper gives me some serious anxiety. And I don't know about your doctor, but mine was OFFENDED when I said I wanted to get off of it. That bothered me. But we will see. Do what's right for you! Have a good one!

      How’s the teeth going? Subs destroyed my teeth after I got clean I paid roughly 13,000 to get them fixed over the last 5 years and now they are worse than after I got off the dope. The doctors and producer fail to tell us that tho

      I have seen many comments saying jumping off from .5 was rough. Heck, I have seen comments shocked at how bad quitting from .25 was even lol. I wonder. Finally got stable at .25 and have now been mixing in days of .13 (3 in a row now!). Had some mild discomfort and certainly some nightmares but we will see from here. Plan to jump from this, but want to get to where I can go 1-2 days between dose first. Best of luck to anyone trying to do similar, you got this!
