Antarctica Weddell Seal Survey Days In Erebus Bay!

An HDR music video glimpse of what days can be like out on the frozen sea ice for the 2024 Weddell Seal Population Study Antarctica Field Team. Weddell seal imaging and recordings obtained under NMFS Permit No. 26375. The Field Team will complete 6 - 8 of these full Study Area Surveys during the course of the annual Oct - December Weddell pupping season there. Many surveys are necessary because at any given time many Weddell seals are swimming under the sea ice and not visible to the team.
