Thank you for this video! I just started lexapro. Watching this also showed me how I thought some of my struggles were just part of my personality like not wanting to go to the gym or feeling nervous. Then I would be so upset I didn’t go later in the day. I can’t wait to feel better and not have to battle constantly.
Thank you so much for this video mamas I have my lexapro medication in my drawer I am scared to take it but ur giving me hopes that this might be the way to go ❤️🙌😍
So I’ve been on Lexapro 10 mg for 5 years but lately it has not been working, I am having really bad suicidal ideations and depression and I don’t know why! I’ve also had a 30 pound weight gain in 5 years which is a lot for my small frame. I’m a nurse and I know I need to talk to my doctor but I’m so embarrassed to tell him about the suicidal thoughts.
You’re beautiful, you have the ability to change, please don’t let the doctors drug you up more than necessary. You can do this on your own, when you look better you will feel better, it’s that simple. Gym>drugs.
Dear you may need a higher dose. Please please tell your doctor that you’re not getting better. Mars also said she wasn’t getting better on 10mg and so her doc gave her 20mg and it helped her a lot. Good luck sweetheart and stay strong, you can get through this. Good times are close by.❤
I’m also a nurse and I feel like I need something for depression and I’m leaning toward lexapro but I’m so afraid to start. I’m afraid of the possible side effects and possible difficulty stopping if I can’t tolerate it.
Day 4 so far everyday it has been impossible to sleep restfully. I always had trouble falling asleep but now i cant even stay asleep for more than a couple hours before waking up. I also have way more anxiety, basically paranoia. It comes out of no where, random thought would spark me. One moment ill be fine and then ill go off the deep end. I even started having more suicidal ideation after starting to take it. Oh and terrible brain fog. I am glad to hear someone elses experience longer term. It makes me feel confident that it will get better and i will find a fix for my anxiety
@tonyanthonyironman4352 thanks for asking! I moved up to 20mg. Been on it about a month. I'm definetly starting to feel better so I'm looking forward to more good things in the coming month.
I have the same issues that you had...like i have the hardest time leaving the house and I avoid even family funtions.. i hate it so so much . its gone on for far too long and it it ruining my life.. i have been trying all kinds of things.. i am on lexapro now but just the lowest dose... maybe ill ask to up it. were you on anything else for anxiety
I’m been on lexapro and it’s helped my social anxiety but I’ve gained so much weight 😢😢 idk what to do because I’m not happy with my weight gain but I’m mentally more stable atleast
Doctor prescribed me lexapro 5mg for sleep. I am sick and tired doctors are not helping me with my sleep. I am not depresed, no anxious. I am concerned why i cant sleep
Insomnia can happen to a number of reasons. I've seen people improve sleep by taking melatonin, using essential oils, improving their sleep routine, getting a better mattress, and meditation. I hope you find a solution that works for you!
Hi thank you so much for posting your videos. I recently started Lexapro again after being off of it for a year and a half. My anxiety slowly creeped up again the last month. I started because I did not want to suffer the way I did the last time I got on. I was afraid to start the medication due to side effects. I have noticed this time that I have an increased in anxiety. I remember having it for a few days when I started the last time. This time it’s been over a week now since I started the meds and the anxiety has been there pretty much every day. Is anyone else experiencing this?
im on lexpro and squeal I hate take both them my doctor kept givingg me them i only have anxiety and Lillie depression iv told the doctor I want of he said no im in australia
I slowly started tapering off my medication. I did not experience any side effects. I did this on my own, without my doctor’s knowledge. So I can’t encourage you to do the same thing I did. You have to decide what’s best for you.
@@Housewarmin I think this is very dangerous comment to make it can help a lot of people and many doesn't change their appetite or weight at all, some people eat more thus gaining weight it's not the medication others appetite doesn't change . The medication isn't the problem
@@Housewarmin also on your video you said you were struggling still with bed so that effects your weight. I've also had that and it causes major fluctuations
@@Housewarmin your doctor is wrong that's such a ridiculous comment by a professional it effects hunger in some making u want to eat and snack more and some become more tired

Usually it takes 6 weeks to start working! I hope you find that it starts working for you!
You are wonderful. This is encouraging and informative. I appreciate it. Blessings.
I'm on lexapro and I'm struggling. Week 6. Just want to curl back up in bed and go to sleep again. I hope this medication works...

What types of foods were you eating while on the lexapro? I really don’t wanna gain weight I’m on 5mg right now
A side effect of Lexapro is weight gain. This doesn’t mean it affects everyone though.
This video was very helpful and reassuring thank you!

Only Lexapro. My doctor upped my dosage to 20mg. It did take about 6-7 weeks to know if it was working. I hope it works for you!

Hey what appetite suppressant did doctors offered you?
I’m not sure what the medication was since I didn’t want to take it.
So don’t eat at all 😂 jk but I’m day one on lexapro and feel good already.
@Capalot1306. How are you feeling now. Any increase in your symptoms at all?
