      It's definitely a game of repetition, but it's a fun process! Was told by a competitive pro jumper that a beaded rope is the best option to learn this. Wasn't the case for me probably because I never use a beaded rope.

    Are you using pvc rope or beaded? I just started mic releases and am getting the hang of it. Catching the handle is by far hardest. It's recommended to use a beaded rope for releases. Pop mic is easier for me for some reason.

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official 3 месяца назад +1

      I found a PVC easier for me. I think it was because I tend to jump at a faster pace it moves at a better speed. A lot of people learn on beaded.
      I think toss or pop technique is going to be an individual preference. Go with the one that feels the best, learn it and then still give the others another shot once you've learned the mic technique better.
      For instance, I found that one toss method (tissue style) worked better for me with a beaded while the underhand toss was best with the PVC rope.

      @@Jump15official how do you get the speed on the mic? Mine come out so slow.

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official 3 месяца назад +1

      @@kknockout316 if you're using the wrist pop it may not be the same cause I suck with that.
      First enter into the mic with more rope speed, then based on my speed I will toss the handle to keep up with the rotation. Not sure if you can wrist pop it harder? But then it's getting good at rotating the rope quickly during the mic. I think the entrance speed plays the biggest part because I feel like I don't accelerate speed post toss, it's all maintaining what you have.
      Hope that makes sense.

    Wow if you manage only 15 days from zero then you are a fast learner😊 it took me months to almost a.year to even just make two loop without a toe catch

      Ya, keep in mind I have been jumping rope for 15 years, which I believe helps me identify where things are going wrong faster.

    I just don't get the point. Seems useless and not even that flashy. Floyd Mayweather probably wouldn't even attempt to do it and laugh at how absurd it is.

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official 5 месяцев назад +4

      It's not about flash, it's about learning something new. I kinda thought the same thing originally, which is why I didn't try it until last year. Now I'm kind of addicted to it. It's a lot of coordination and consistency to be able to get the catch every time.
      Floyd doesn't do any difficult skills and is definitely not the gold standard of jump rope. He only does the basics. He does them at a high level, but the overall difficulty of what he does is very simple, so yeah, he wouldn't ever try it.

      Fair enough. Who is the gold standard then? @@Jump15official
