I love Matt so, so much. His voice is like melting butter. And in a group of 5 beautiful, charismatic performers, I find myself watching him 75% of the time.

Kirstie really seemed to come through on this, she is gaining some confidence and that's great to see. Mitch, just yeah..mitch. lol They just sound amazing. I am still getting used to Matt. I too was totally impressed by this Evolution! And even though I love all of them, BUT KEVIN!! He just worked so hard in this song! Yes! They found their sound! That really shows! I’m pleased that you Love Matt now! A lot of people didn’t trust the process or trust that PTX would choose someone who was right for them! But just look and listen to them! They’re still perfect! I can’t be the only one who seriously prefers Matt’s baritone voice to his bass. His lower range is good for sure, but it’s nothing extraordinary. It feels like he really comes into his own with those little solos, and his opening rap in Finesse when they sing it live.
MAProductions Exactly!! They’ve raised the key of most of their songs recently anyway to accommodate Matt’s most comfortable bass range; they only need to do it a tiiiiny bit more.
Yeah it’s a shame cause he’s not a true bass he’s a Baritone with a good lower range. But Avi was a Basso Profundo so it’s not fair to make a comparison of the two

I too struggle with Rihanna’s songs, I only know a few of them, but - like Everything Pentatonix do - once you’ve listened to their version a few times, you start singing the song ‘their’ way and it becomes a new song. I LOVE your PTX reactions and am going to miss them sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much :( but I will keep my eye out for when you do a new one :) And I had the same reaction as you when Matt started singing, it took me a second to realize it was him. I've watched some of their songs from their summer tour because I'll be seeing them live in less than a month and Matt is doing an AMAZING job and totally fits in, not just vocally, but with his personality as well!
I saw them in concert a week and a half ago. They did Bohemian Rhapsody and Daft Punk in person. The vocal “effects” are not effects at all-it’s all THEM. They did this as well. Incredible. And there was a part of the concert where it was just Matt and Kevin for about 15 minutes just doing a rap battle. Freaking incredible. I also have some videos from the concert I’d be more than happy to share with you. I was prepared to not like the concert, but I daggum loved it. And Matt was higher energy than Avi ever was. Interestingly, Avi (the oldest member of the group at the time) ended up being replaced by Matt (now the youngest member of the group).

I know you guys like Superfruit's "guy.exe", well, this song is full of BIG, DRAMATIC, SOUND! I feel like it's their first single off the album because the sound is appropriate for Halloween. It has a somewhat gothic feel. Blew my mind! .. Mitch even has a demented laugh going on in it! They announced their Holiday Tour, AND NBC is bringing the original Broadway cast of "Wicked" to a tv special... and Pentatonix are appearing in it! Exciting stuff just keeps going on since tgey dropped theur last album "Pentatonix Presents Top Pop Vol. 1". They had some fairly short videos shot behind the scenes and while on stage during their Summer Tour 2018 and titled it "PTXperience Summer Tour 2018" and there are 9 episodes I think? I wonder if you'd be allowed to react to those? You get to see a LOT of fun and interesting things on these. They're so weird! 😂 I love them! ❤️

I think I recommended this before, but if you guys like Matt singing... you should check out a song he did called "Ain't Nothin'" that he did before he was in Pentatonix. It's AMAZING :)
It seems whenever an album is released, there is a flurry of RUclips blocks. Then it settles down for a while and reaction videos are allowed again until the next album comes out.
Mitch is a huge Rihanna fan and his voice is most suited to her singing style as is Kirstie's. This arrangement was SOOO much better than their last medley of Top Pop, Vol. 1. This rekindled my hope for PTX because I felt disappointed after their last medley.
Madison Foster, their transitions were rough, almost non-existent, in the last medley. But I realize now they put it out quickly to promote their album. It definitely wasn't a "formal" medley like their evolution releases. However, this medley was so much stronger. Also, I could hear Matt more in this one, and I'm not talking about his leads.
One of the biggest improvements is Kirstie has a confidence that she lacked before doing the 'Kinky Boots' Broadway show. That confidence shows in her vocal performance. To me Matt will never be able to replace Avi. The new songs are arranged with his abilities in mind, but rearranging old songs for him, I think, would be a mistake. I fear going to a concert for the chance they make this mistake. Thanks for the reaction.
