usually it happens that people buy the genuine one and send back fake one, it happens the same on amazon (with many items)!! The seller don t check with shrewdness
and sell fake parts to a new poor buyer!! :(

I laso changed yesterday fron brake pads on my Polo 6n2, I sued also brembo, they where rapped in a vacuumed plastic but the bolts which have to be 4 for each side, they where only 2. But the box of the brake pads had a hologram sticker on them with the logo of brembo. From now on Brembo is out of my list of brake pads.

Brembo do not make their own brake discs or brake pads.
They are outsourced to other companies who then stamp and box the products for Brembo in Brembo packaging. For instance, VW and Audi group cars may have the pads made in the same factory as Jurid (VW OEM) and the cheaper Citroen/Peugeot pads the same as Mintex (just a random name i am using) and both have completely different packaging.

It's amazing to see so many people in trouble with autodoc. It's not my first order and never had any problem with this society.

Brembo sub-contract their pads to other manufacturers. So before you lose your mind blaming autodoc their pads often have different manufacturers stamp on. They are still tested and approved by Brembo.

Good video. I bought some pads for Mercedes CLA and heard about fake pads going around I got worried as these were good price online. Was happy when I opened box and saw the pads wrapped up in protective material, come with red backing plate, also had Brembo sticker, brake paste and warranty papers. I'm convinced real 👍

Thankyou for this video, i ordered some for a 4wd and they were fakes, left them in the store!
There is a video from brembo on their low metal pads and they are black outside not red tho

  • @A.Dude.
    @A.Dude. 2 года назад +2

The ones with the red back-plate are Nano-Ceramic ones, while these are Low-Metallic ones. You say they were used; this could be a return and the wrap paper got misplaced. Still no indication of a fake product. The faded imprinting on the logo is most likely a consequence of missing protection and rubbing against each other. These cost about $40 and the red ones $60 TODAY (for Mercedes GL450); makes no sense to manufacture genuine looking boxes and own the technology of laser imprinting, if you have the ability to bring to the market such a presentation; how expensive do you believe the compound is? Rest assured, they are most likely genuine. If you want a more profound re-assurance, send them to BREMBO and let they deal with the vendor.

Yeh surprisingly you would think that their performance oriented pads would have the red backing plate but its quite the opposite. The low met pads "look" cheap by comparison to the red ones, and ironically the NAO ceramics come with the nicely wrapped felt and the low mets do not. I verified all my bar codes and serial numbers with brembo too and this is 5 years later from this vid and they still look the same coming out of the box.

      @@AK1RA74 Dear Customers,
With assistance of partners, Autodoc has already resolved this issue and found out that the product meets all the standards and specifications of the original spare part. The product has all holograms and protective QR codes on the packaging and on the spare part itself.
During the company history there has never been a litigation regarding the sale of fake parts. The issue with the customer who made this video was successfully resolved and closed.
Autodoc makes every effort to ensure that customers receive products of the highest quality and in the shortest possible time.
      Kind regards, Autodoc team

Well, it seems like the case was closed by refunding the money so that doesn't change the fact that the pads are fake. I'm a potential buyer of some brembo products but I can't just buy them and ask for a refund if they are fake. If an ordinary customer like on the video can spot the difference and return the pads, it clearly means that something is very wrong with the product or the seller.

There seem to be a lot of mis-information on this video. The QR code on the box on screen is identical to the QR code on my box of pad ordered from bembo. QR code lead to bremboacademy to a fitting and maintenance page...nothing about pad itself. of course this could be copy by fake, so it's not a indication of real/fake at all. As for the sticker seal this has a QR sticker while mine has a circular brembo sticker with serial number and bar code...now that could possible mean it's a fake. As for inside, mine is wrap nicely in brown thick paper with rubber band, comes with brake paste and brembo stickers and menu while this one has none of those which could be a red flag or just because the model of pad is different than mine with different packaging. The print on the shim does look worse than real brembo and the grey shim should have look more shiny than matt..that is also a red flag... the black paint on the pad side is also too thick and shiny compare to real pads .... issue resolve only means probably refund...but does not proof they are real though...buyers beware. I would rather buy from big chain retail or direct from brembo than save a few dollars for fakes.

Sorry, but this is propaganda. Brembo don't mske their own pads. They're made in India by Allied Nippon. But brembo is shit anyway.
    Ferodo premiere are the best.

This is what I heard too, brembo doesn't make all of their pads themselves, maybe a few, only i'm not sure about that. For pads I'm adviced to use Ferodo, disks Bermbo.

Attention to aLL car expert. Just using water to cooL down disc brake & brake pad. I suggest about a miliLiter per minute dropping on disc brake directly is very safe whilLe traveling more than 100 mph. to prevent faiL brake due to overheating. Or simply apply radiator on brake pad / disc brake. BECAUSE SAFETY IS EVERYTHING
