I'm watching through all the Minecraft let's plays and it is quite comical as to how many LPs Gavin had a good chance of winning but eventually lost

It's all part of the acting role. Gavin could have won but its part if not all scripted roles. Gavs role is to be the lovable loser who rarely wins. So they write it that he or something screws his chance of winning.

It's true that Gavin got punished by fickle protocol, but Michael did exceedingly well over the course of the competition; I was sure that he, of all the guys, wouldn't have the patience or wherewithal to accomplish this task. Never broke any rules, either. Dude deserved the Tower.

When I started watching the Minecraft LPs (around about the time this LP came out) I found myself always rooting for Gavin just because he's the underdog as well as the funniest person in Achievement Hunter (In my opinion, I am British though, so maybe I'm biased) But recently I've found that I don't care who wins as long as it's not Jack. Jack is the most boring member in all the LPs and the way that he just plays the game and bitches when anyone tries to mess around a bit just to make the video more entertaining annoys me way more than it should. Though I realise now I sound like an entitled fanboy and thus can join the millions on the internet who critique the things they get for free. I'm a big fan or RT, just... excluding Jack.

Honestly though Ryan is kind of two faced because he stole Jack's creature in part 1 when it was in Jack's zone and complained that Jack was mad about it, and now Gavin did the same thing to him and he gets all bitchy like a little girl about it. I'd be pissed too if I was Gavin, that shit is annoying especially since Gavin would have won at the beginning of this Part 2

I know it's all for fun and what not but Ryan literally stealing Gavin's wolf just pissed me off so much. He even ASKED if it was Gavin's and after he had learned it was, he just stole it, even though Gavin already "claimed it". I'm just saying this because if Gavin did that to anyone or literally anyone did that to anyone except Gavin, they would have gone mad about it.

I did watch everything, yes. / Seeing this now though, it seems a little over the top. I know these guys better now and I mean, it's still kinda annoying imo, but I know that they always tease Gavin and that that is his whole role in the team basically. Still it's a bit "meh" if you know what I mean. But anyways, no hate or whatever intended!

Actually in the middle of that argument Geoff said you can't call monsters. And they continued to fight over them throughout the episode. Once on the obsidian however, no one else can touch them.

during the "walk back around forth around to try and trap the creeper/whatever" bits, what should've been done (probably) is get them on the opposite side of the glass nearest to the player, then fucking climb up on the roof, hop down the other side, and place the final glass segments there before they have time to track and start moving with you towards the opening. cutting them off at the phase, to use the cliche.
admittedly that would probably be less entertaining than watching the floundering back and forth, though
