The tools I use and recommend acmetools.pxf....
Please remember that I'm not showing the best way to do anything, but just the method that works well for us. Thanks for watching!
Oh and another takeaway, if you use a drone for commercial work, you need to be part107 certified. Commercial work includes social media like RUclips if you plan to make an income off of that. I watched a video about this last May and then purchased the Part 107 Course sso.teachable.... I studied and learned for 1 month and then took my test. I scored a 95%, which is a testament to how good Greg and the crew over there teach. That link will save you $100 off the course and support this channel.

First RUclips video where I was taking notes while watching... lol. Thanks for all the information. I've been binge watching your channel all week long now...
Seen this before with Kyle. Lakeshore project. Nice to watch again ,always awesome ,thx Tim.👍
2inch overlap is more than I'm used to. I've always done 1 1/8 overlap.
Using the smart side tool for gauges and it also has all numbers for lines on the tool
Enjoyed watching.
Man you always make me laugh great sense of humor. I bet you best him up when y'all were little. I personally prefer the shake shingle look. I've worked in construction my whole life and the houses I've worked on mainly we're built in the four ties and fifties etc and twenty five inch centers on walls was common with sheathing inside and outside a lot of them the inside wall finish was a fabric with a cotton type backing man can they hold some dust and rat and whatever poop pee. I should have stayed in new construction and gotten out of fixing those old unlevel unplumb homes anyways always ready like y'all's videos thanks
Congratulations on the sale. Oh Tim…….. nice calves.
What about dirt in the eyes!! Ladder on the wall
Interesting, right now, 3 likes and 31 comments. So obviously, first commenters just want to give their 2 cents worth as opposed to giving credit to the channel. That's my 2 cents.. Oops, I forgot to like!😂
No flashing between gaps on siding?
Nope, none needed when you follow LP's instructions.
A cost breakdown would be awesome !
do you caulk the siding at the corner boards??
Could you not use the corrugated fastener for 45° cut corners as well?
Yep. We square cut because that is what the manufacturer warranties. They say no to 45
@AwesomeFramers fair enough. Haven't done siding but am looking into it. Love your vids btw. Been doing this nearly as long as you and I still find tips and tricks that I kick myself for never thinking of 😆
what size fastener are you using for window frame
Just use the laser for the siding.
What do you cover the 4th side of the house with if you’re only covering 3sides with LP?
Oh maybe I should watch the whole video to answer my own question 😂
Are you suppose to put some kind of flashing behind the butt joints?
they caulk them... just as he said in the video
In Norway you must include at least 23mm air gap between siding and house wrap / external plaster board / OSB / ZIP-System
Internal gap between vapour barrier has to be 48mm (also to allow for piping and electrical conduits without breaking vapour barrier)
External wall framework must be minimum 48mm x 198mm plus internal and external air gap
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. My wife and I may be planning a trip to Helsinki summer 2024. Not sure if we'll be able to yet.
Pan flash is the only way imo, why introduce more maintenance to a "maintenance free" product. No one does exterior maintenance so imo my job is to make it a as maintenance free as possible.
What happened to Kyle ?

You guys don't care about hitting studs? Corner trim over the siding? This is low end stuff guys.
We've had corner boards over our siding here in Sweden since like forever. And I have not to this day seen a rotted out or water damaged corner in a house.
Well that's a lie. But leaks from the upstairs bathroom has nothing to do with the corner boards.
Thanks again for these long vids ... super exciting watching the channel grow. Don't forget about us little guys that were here in the beginning. Hello from Monday, November 27, 2023. 195k subs. Cheers guys!
Caulking at the windows will also help those shingles not move away from the trim which usually results in a ugly gap
I used to frame houses when I was a kid now I do surveying. But I just wanted to say you guys are doing a great job for just being 2 of you. Now I just build for fun. Keep rocking em out!!
You guys are fantastic! I would love to hear what your brother was saying about the sewer setup, though. 😂
You always say you're gonna link stuff in descriptions but you dont . Love the vids, I want that gable scribe!

I'll try do so a better job of linking in the future.. also Google Gable Scribe 😉😁
Thanks, some great tips for me. Australia
😆🤣🙂
voluminous, phfff.. where did he go to school....
By the way, news subscriber, and I love your chanel thank you for all you're helped and work.
So impressive. And such beautiful setting.
Sold?! Great!! That's a real quality house!! 😊🎉🎉
Awesome framers do awesome stuff. Where do I start building my own home?
An office critter in the wild. Cool.
Thank you for sharing the rare sighting.
Dude!!! Calves are popping lol
You guys do great work! I love how you guys stay moving all the time and no one is standing waiting for the next person. I really enjoy your videos. Keep it up.
what is the name of the air gun you use to build the window frames you didn't list it
Just wondering if you have to cover over your exposed nails on the siding/trim
Congrats on the sale.
in canada we are required by code to put straping on the sheeting around the house to have an air flow between the siding and the sheeting. except the difference in weather do you know why this doesn't apply to you guys? i just don't understand why yon don't have to!
Depends on where you are in canada. Where I am, that's not necessary
That sweat band that you wear. What is it called in? Where do you get it I can really use one or ten
It's temple tape. Timmy10 will save you 10%
I don't make anything off the code
Any info on the septic? Is it a grinder that goes to the street? Thanks!
exactly.
@@AwesomeFramers nice! I don’t know a lot about the systems and have been researching a bit over the last week or so. Good to know I haven’t been “wasting” my time… hahahaaaaa
@@TridentHomeConsulting pun game on point 🙂
Doesn't LP recommend a rain screen?
Can you show me where they do? Some of their literature has changed
You're right, they don't.
They won't even provide any guidance on rain screen use. Shocked after the huge failures their older siding had with moisture.@@AwesomeFramers
@@urchin11 those failures had nothing to do with rain screen. I pulled that stuff off.
Hint: Do your pre-record prep work, BEFORE you start recording. It makes you look less uninformed.
Nice job
