I use to walk around school when I was younger saying that and three. It was so crazy when we had last words as our graduation lunch in elementary school the class and teachers all yelled out saying say it say it I grabbed the Mike and yelled 3 they just bust out laughing
This game was not top notch. I hated the slow game play of this. The only cool thing about this game was the old opening EA intro before the game started. There were 8-bit basketball games that were much better than this.
My brothers and I all knew the glitch, but we'd still pretend like we'd run out the shot clock trying to find a shot and were forced to shoot it from there out of desperation 😆
+kissmygrits lol it was pretty slow I admit! I put the guards at center and run by players for dunks and lay ups lol! Man those were the days though until nba jam came out
+kissmygrits Actually making a jumper wasnt too hard. Ppl just tried dunking way too much. It goes the same in today's 2K games. It's either a 3 or dunking. If u played online, you'd know especially in 3 on 3.
Found a glitch back in the day. Danny Manning had a special dunk and from a certain spot, you could get the points and rebound the "miss." Rinse and repeat
I loved this game to DEATH. Constantly played it. I always wondered if the game was selective about which players could hit certain shots tho. I tried using jordan to hit 3s once. Out of the entirety of the game only nailed 2. Whereas when i used majerle on phoenix he nailed 95% of his 3s. But i have this game and bulls vs suns. My all time favorite basketball game
These games don't hold up. But younger people won't understand how important they were at the time. Celtics Vs. Lakers was such a breakthrough that many of us paid hundreds of dollars to get a better computer when it was only on PC at first.
I played this game with my brother constantly. It is extremely difficult without using either of the title teams. MJ is by far the best in the game. Such a good experience!!!
Larry Bird had the Turnaround 3pointer. Mike had the kiss the rim, reverse and the switch hand layup and he had a turnaround jumper. Isaiah Thomas had the spin and behind the back lay up.
One time I remember on this I had Dan Marley firing 3s the entire game and I had it set to 8 mins. I didn't know it but by 4th his health was completely down to almost nothing and I was still using him to drill three's lol. He probably did the same in real life to lol
What if EA remixed the title screen music and make it be unlocked (along with other music in this game) by playing through one or a couple seasons or something so that it can replace the Live 16 primary music?
0:12 - Looking at this vomit-inducing title screen (done with only 16 or so colors), it looked like EA in 1991 was going to make SNES games for all eight sports. However, in the fall of 1992 (when this game was released), only three of these sports (golf, football and basketball) had their namesake games whose pictures then filled all eight tiles (as in 0:15). Lots of people (myself included) wondered, "Where are the baseball, tennis, track and field, hockey and soccer games?" By the time EA's baseball, hockey, and soccer SNES games arrived (in 1993, 1993, and 1994 respectively), EA had long abandoned this hideous title screen. BTW, the basketball player in this screen looks like he is holding a bowling ball!
This game was terrible. Even in 1992. NBA Jam was released 2 years later....far superior to this. Way too slow and impossible to win unless you dunked a lot.
This was the thing to do in 92.
“Shoot it” @6:24 legendary!! 🤣🤣🤣 it’s 2022 me and my bro still joke and make references to that.
Me too, that and the "charge" theme when somebody steals the ball, hilarious!
Dave Chappelle Prince skit. 😂💀
I use to walk around school when I was younger saying that and three. It was so crazy when we had last words as our graduation lunch in elementary school the class and teachers all yelled out saying say it say it I grabbed the Mike and yelled 3 they just bust out laughing
@@29mailliw good ol days🥲
this game was top notch back n da day! was the 1st nba game to my knowledge that has signature moves. used to play all night. looks god-awful now lol
Was the shit yes it looks terrible I spent $60 on this crap then smh
Lakers vs Celtics and bulls vs lakers had signature moves
There were signature moves in the Lakers versus Celtics. Same series but it was a few years prior.
This game was not top notch. I hated the slow game play of this. The only cool thing about this game was the old opening EA intro before the game started. There were 8-bit basketball games that were much better than this.
First of all you idiots should know that game still way better than any NBA game today
We used to shoot threes from a certain spot near halfcourt with Mark Price and make it almost every time. THREE!!!
Fkn Facts 💯
Drazen for me he would never miss
Yes there was a spot near lower half court where you would always make threes it’s was a glitch in the game.
@@mvwags right after the line beyond the 3point like.
My brothers and I all knew the glitch, but we'd still pretend like we'd run out the shot clock trying to find a shot and were forced to shoot it from there out of desperation 😆
Back when we respected ea!
+kissmygrits lol it was pretty slow I admit! I put the guards at center and run by players for dunks and lay ups lol! Man those were the days though until nba jam came out
Its just ur opinion and I think its shit
+Sushi Wasabi it was a comical statement
+kissmygrits Actually making a jumper wasnt too hard. Ppl just tried dunking way too much. It goes the same in today's 2K games. It's either a 3 or dunking. If u played online, you'd know especially in 3 on 3.
Frank Matthews Tecmo Basketball was the better option.
'Like' if you're watching this in 1992.
I was playin' it in '92
I still have this game
Same here!
"Shoot it!"
word.. i remember we use to make fun of this all the time.
i remember it being a deeper voice though.
😂
FOUUUL
Ah memories lol i remember that Tom Chambers double pump slam from the hash was unstoppable 😂😂💯
Ultimate cheese, i averaged damn near 80 pts with him
Would play this for HOURS!
I played this game for HOURS back in 93 94 when i was 6, 7 years old
The reason I still play in broadcast camera in current NBA games
Found a glitch back in the day. Danny Manning had a special dunk and from a certain spot, you could get the points and rebound the "miss." Rinse and repeat
Yesss I remember that!!!!
I remember Larry Bird on the Sega Lakers vs Celtics game would literally fly like a bird when dunking lol, and Jordan was fast as hell!!
That’s Tom Chambers, not Bird :)
I,used to ditch school to play it lol
this was when basketball games started to become sims.
Me as well.
I forgot all about double dribble after this MONSTER GAME came out 🤣🤣
i used to love this game.
Love the net swooshing sound 😍
I used to think that it was so cool that they had the Finals logo on the court. Lol
Small details like that really were immersive tho. Nowadays it's just mehh. U don't even notice it's there.
It was really cool.
I still play this
1:43 better job than NBA Live 2016
How in the hell was i excited to play this when i was a kid?!
Me too! Lol But this game is hella slow lol wtf
That whole 30 second intro scene was just about the most 90s thing I've seen since... the 90s. You know... like... whatever.
It was amazing lol
these games were better than today's, simple and to the point
At 8 I found out there's a sweet spot where even with the center you could bank threes, I was doing Steph Curry before Steph Curry ..never lost a game
I used have this game on snes brings back good memories playing it with my friends.
I loved this game when I was younger
This is the shit!! Sat mornings..
Jr Belton yes sir!!!
Wow basketball video games have came a long ways! Lol but I cant lie I use to play this game everyday after school.
TampaOutlaw every day after school
Holy shit this takes me back. Loved missing those dunks.
I loved this game to DEATH. Constantly played it. I always wondered if the game was selective about which players could hit certain shots tho. I tried using jordan to hit 3s once. I had this on SNES. Played this everyday
Before the NBA Live series we had this.
that jordan reverse layup from the elbow was a beast...
These games don't hold up. But younger people won't understand how important they were at the time. Celtics Vs. Lakers was such a breakthrough that many of us paid hundreds of dollars to get a better computer when it was only on PC at first.
Brought bac memories man
so classic...this game is actually better then the most current nba live version
It was this game that turned me into a SuperSonics fan
Much better on the Sega Genesis
Yes it is. Because it's blast processing.
I played this game with my brother constantly. It is extremely difficult without using either of the title teams. MJ is by far the best in the game. Such a good experience!!!
especially for a bb game. saying that because most non-sports games were dam challenging in the 90s.
especially for a bb game. saying that because most non-sports games were dam challenging in the 90s.
I used to use Golden State with Tim Hardaway and Billy Owens …. I scored 100 with Tim …played on 12 min….definitely was a great game…
I just bought a copy of this on EBay! Can't wait to try it out!
Pippen looking like Stacey King!
In 1994, one of my friends traded EVO: The Search for Eden for this game! The other guy made a KILLING off of that trade!
Bing Gordon is the only broadcaster that has his picture updated
I love this one too I use knicks and Sonics so far
1:13
1:27 smooth 🎼✨🔥
Youngsters today: "What did 1992 actually sound though? TLC? Early Snoop Dog? Nirvana's 'Nevermind'? Soundgarden?"
Me: "It was more like, "Boop. Boop. Boop. 'Waaaa-ooooo!'"
Youngsters: "...."
Me: "Boop. Boop. Boop. Waaaaa-ooo!"
The only game were you can play with multiple Mike Jordans😂
NBA street vol 2 comes to mind
Ahhh this was my joint for sega
Larry Bird had the Turnaround 3pointer. Mike had the kiss the rim, reverse and the switch hand layup and he had a turnaround jumper. Isaiah Thomas had the spin and behind the back lay up.
If you shoot from the bottom elbow you'll make practically every shot regardless of the defense.
Who got that sega drive tho???
2:44 He got rejected by the rim? :-)
memories
One time I remember on this I had Dan Marley firing 3s the entire game and I had it set to 8 mins. I didn't know it but by 4th his health was completely down to almost nothing and I was still using him to drill three's lol. He probably did the same in real life to lol
Isn't it amazing that this game already entailed MJ's signature double clutch move?
was u able to break the backboard on this or was it a different game??
That was NBA showdown
Intro sounded like 80s porn music lol
Who is here is 2024? I'm remembering me and my dad playing this.
Shoot from just past half court on left side bottom of screen it went in almost every time
remember how big the cartridge for this was?
What if EA remixed the title screen music and make it be unlocked (along with other music in this game) by playing through one or a couple seasons or something so that it can replace the Live 16 primary music?
Played this and NHLPA 93 for hours on end
Remember this game...thank god for 2k :)
I use to rent this from blockbuster
What thu- are those actual plays being run by the Bulls team? I see pick and rolls and dribble hand offs and shii-t.
Triangle offense by Tex Winters
SNES players were deprived of the awesome music the Sega Genesis version had.
This game was awesome back when this came out but in 2019 it looks Awful lol
True
This is so slow and hard to watch these days lol
Back when EA actually made good sports games. Imagine that...
Real Gaming
fk I loved this game
I always got the lakers too
Lmao @ the coach, don't miss the j, coach gets stressed!
Jordan top of the key 3pointer is cash, and going baseline activate his layups and dunks
It was the first of its kind, of course Arch Rivals was the bomb....
This game was painfully slow especially coming from playing a mostly sega genesis library.
Trophy 🏆 Basketball 🏀 ♉🐂🐂♉ bulls M.J.
Better than 2k
Jordan Vs Drexler
i be up 3-0 right now
Gameplay wasn't the best BUT the music is great.
Back when ea was good
Fast paced
Uguale a nba live 15 per le animazioni...
Sega Genesis had the better music for sure
I had on my tablet then I delete the app
Three
Dis nigga Buck Williams!
References
Genesis version had way better music.
Sega played better. But shoot it was clear on here

Ugly as hell... it runs on 5fps, lol
This game was horrible
Horrible game.
