Tip: if your video background is white, then choose a different colour for your text notes. Preferably, a contrasting colour so the text is easy to read quickly. Note: men don't multitask, they task swap instead. So, count on 50% either paying attention to your voice or your text notes but not both. Thanks for posting you tips!
next year's Burning Man will hopefully be my first Burn. i will then be 72 coming in my little Ford Focus SE Coupe (grey) with tent, sleeping bag, etc. in the trunk. canned food inside the car...and water. question: i have a weak bladder and was wondering if i can pee inside my tent and empty it out in the morning? and i would prefer being near the "can".
robert hunt I was wondering this too, I can't imagine with that many people, many of which are drinking, everyone is peeing in the portajohns everytime. I'd probably get some kind of dark colored jug to piss in inside the tent then empty when need to. A dark colored one because then it won't look like you're carrying a jug of piss around when you go to empty it! (Doesn't need to be dark, I guess I mean opaque).
While I can't speak to burning man specifically, virtually every person, or at least every guy, figures out that you can pee in a bottle at night so you don't need to leave the comfort of your tent. I don't know why burning man would be any different. As long as you keep up the leave no trace principle, I don't think anyone would care how you choose to do your business.
Yes, You will be far from the only one doing that. It's valuable for anyone to have spare (opaque) bottle handy since that is the most practical option during a dust or rain storm.
Buckleberry Ferry I never said it was a mark of shame. I don’t remember my reason for the comment but I’m guessing I was under the impression it was frowned upon to piss outside of the designated areas so rather than bring attention to it I’d do it on the DL. If it’s perfectly allowed then fuck it, piss in whatever jug you want.
I just watched this video back and I didn't really express myself very clearly (whoops!). I meant "walls of RVs" where it's a load of RVs together that don't have an outside camping area or are kind of arranged in a way that shuts them off a bit from the surrounding camps. If you want to be socialising with your neighbours then being next to one of those isn't great as the people staying in them tend to be inside when they're back at camp (because they don't have an outside area to be in) so there's not much opportunity to meet the neighbours or hang out with them if you're next to an RV wall. There's tonnes of people that come in RV's that are amazing to have as neighbours though, I met a father and son that came in an RV together and the dad was a masseuse and had brought along a massage table to give out free massages in the day, they were brilliant neighbours. Of course you could end up next to tent style camp where the people are never there as well! Finding amazing neighbours is like a lottery haha!
How do you join theme camps ? I heard there is one for children, was thinking about taking my 13 year old daughter for the first time next year!! Long drive though coming from Massachusetts😄
Please do, I can only imagine how thankful I would be if my mom ever did that for me when I was 13!! She will forever be grateful and it's a big adventure that I believe will only strengthen your bond with her. You never know how long Burning Man will be going on for in future years and she might not have the oppurtunity to go anymore when she is an adult. I am from the Netherlands and still have not figured out how I can best get there with all of the stuff I need and I am 27, I really hope I will manage somewhere in the next few years.
eplaya forums can be a good resource. You can also check through art projects that mention they are looking for on-playa help or browse randomly on the "unofficial BRC map" clicking around and find camps that mention they're open to new people that you think you could contribute to. Or look though the official playa events list - see anything you think you can help with - message the coordinator and see if they'll take you in.
Setting up at night is nice because it's not 105 DEGREES. Lots of setup is done at night... headlamps, flashlights, your car lights. --We've been shooed away by people who have other people coming and don't want us near them, so we found more friendlier people to feed, massage, and entertain. Some burners just don't get it.

I seem to remember a video you did where you commented on people in RV's participating more... did you change your mind?

I am from Massachusetts too. are you going this year?
Does the leave no trace rule restrict certain types of tie downs, such as ground screws?
No. Folks use all sorts of tie downs: ground screws, playa staples, lag bolts, and of course tent pegs.
Your Flightness are you with a theme camp? And may I ask witch if you are?
Excuse me, how might i go about joining a group? Im in a small town and there are not many people who would be interested in an event like this.

i, what about RV's?
Don't set up your camp in the dark? 😂 It's dangerous? 😂😂 Stop! 😂😂😭😂
Actually sometime during 2000s a truck ran over a tent and killed someone. So...makes sense to me.
I prefer camping with rattlesnakes-n-bears in the Kiamichi Mountains than with a hoard of goddamn freaks..
If I saw her at Burning Man I would be trying to chat her up and get all up in that. I think she is pretty and I likes the way she talks.
Oh please.....tell me the rules.
You should have your hands more.
Not to be rude but why do you have a horseshoe in your nose? So when you have to sneeze and you have snot running down your nose how does that work?
Rodney Pratt she has a captive bead ring not a horseshoe/circular barbell
Your beautiful but your looks won't outshine that ring not a hater luv a just sayin
