KV you should be deciding and mentioning the points that each part of a question carries in the question itself. Though your quizzes happen in light hearted settings but the scoring should still be as just as possible.
An example of this is your division of marks in the Zanzibar question.

A little disappointed with the level of questions: some were too easy, not quite meant for a quiz like this as there is no pounce it gives some participants an advantage! What was the watermark question!

How are quizzes still relevant in this generation. Makes no sense when you can find anything in a go. Make games that need our brain to think not just dig information. Puzzles make sense.

I don't think the point of quizzing is a direct translation to real life utility. It wouldn't be so associated with "trivia" otherwise. Quizzers love our trivial little nuggets of interesting info, which are all just fun things to explore and discuss - with no direct benefit to us in real life.
And yet, you'll often find that, in a workplace discussion, the kind of people who enjoy (and end up being good at) quizzing, turn out to also be some of the better problem solvers/perspective expanders.
Just by virtue of the need that a quizzer incessantly feels-to read widely and remain curious- ensures that they bring lateral thinking and a big fund of knowledge to pull from... even to work.
So, sure! "The ability to find accurate answers" might not be an asset anymore in this world... But the people who don't need to find them at all (because they're more likely to have read something related beforehand) can be.

In before anyone tries to explain the etymology of "trivia". I'm only referring to the current use of the word. Not gossiping Roman conglomerations by roadsides.

Most questions are generally crackable with hints and those are more fun than direct "facts", for which I understand the opinion in the original comment. It's hard to make every question a "put funda" so I guess it's ok to mix some facts that are at the very least interesting and may want you to read up on the topic. Easy or difficult, is very subjective to what you've consumed rather than retained.

If you see carefully, these quizzes are puzzles in a way

@@sidhantchand yeah but for who? Ppl who have general knowledge about the theme ode the quizz may enjoy it. Puzzles are very generic and all the audience can participate.
