Of course! That’s raw chicken. You can just rinse it before cooking and the germs are going to cook off anyway. I don’t eat cooked food off the floor but I have dropped raw food. I just wash it and cook it. I clean my kitchen floors daily and we have a no shoe policy.
Especially with meat…if an animal died to feed you, don’t let that death be for no reason. Respect your food.

As someone chased by as least three dogs while on a motorcycle with in the past week I fully support training dogs to not go for “it” without permission!
I used to leash my dogs to my scooter and run them like huskies (with a harness and good command training of course) and it wasn't uncommon for us to be chased by unleashed dogs in public parks. My dog can get nervous around other dogs, and while she had amazing recall and would listen to my commands, other dogs would sense her being nervous and she gave off something that made them want to beat her up. Even dogs that have "never growled in their lives" have gone after her and I've lost track of how many times I've been bitten putting myself between her and them.
If you let your dog off leash, train them to not go for "it" and train them so you can recall them even if something has captivated their attention.

When I was growing up we had a family Doberman. My mom fed him that day because my dad wasn’t at home but forgot to give him the command to eat and when she came back to the backyard 30 minutes later he was sitting there looking at her drooling but never touched the bowl! The dog won her over 100% that day!

They are canine units, sheep herding dogs etc. They are very intelligent and protection is their basic Instinct. They didn't evolve to be cute couch potatoes.

This is how I train my dogs, and it comes from the bond you have with that dog that makes them learn these automatic behaviors, where they learn to fixate on you no matter what is going on around them, awaiting your command for their next action. It’s actually a very close bond you have with your dogs. I commend you for that! A healthy relationship with your dogs, keep making more videos like this! And yes let them have it lol!

I taught my dog this. My friend was super impressed when I left my entire dinner next to my dog on the couch and came back to my dog sitting staring at it. I was gone for 10 min. I shared with my dog as a reward

@@alyssa_the_noodle5228 havnt found anything yet apart from sticks, and it's always the biggest one too, never a little twig it's always the leg sweeper sized ones lol, he liked chasing rabbits, never hurt one though I think that came from when we had a rabbit and it died, he bought it indoors and just sat there with it, wouldn't let me near it either, since then I think he just wanted to play with one again, not that a wild rabbit would sit there and wonder about a massive dog and if it was a danger or not of course, anything else he didn't bother with even cats he wasn't interested in, only other thing he would ignore me over when I called is when he saw his buddy in the park being walked too, all other dogs he waited but not his buddy 😆

Admittedly not tested this with dropping food on the floor but if food is on a table and/or plate he knows it's a no go, even if easily in reach and I go out the room to the toilet for example. He's a basic trained 2 year old labradoodle, it's not difficult at all to train this restraint.
He will usually be staring right at the food to communicate to me he wants it, but never takes without me handing it to him.
