It turned out while Zia was not bright in a political sense, he certainly was as cunning as a fox.

Sheer bias is visible in the entire video. Even the creators of the video seem biased towards Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. The disclaimer should have been given at the start of the video. Moreover, the program creators should upload the opposite side as well. Since Ahmed Raza Kasuri was also a party to the case, therefore neutrality can't be expected from him.
What do you expect? Bhutto was a Wadera who murdered most of his political opponents and when it came to Kasuri, he murdered his father who was once the man who founded and funded the PPP. Moreover, our biggest enemy India is in between us. They could block our ways whenever they wanted. We have to pass from India whether we travel by air, land or sea. So, be a rational one. I'll say that we could never protect that Eastern Pakistan. Now come to solution: we should have given them independence when they demanded. To sum it up - The son of the victim of his grievances thinks that somehow the PM of the country is involved in the assassination of his father because of their differences, nothing wrong with that. The case without any facts sits cold as anyone can file FIR against anyone for anything. Once the country has been taken over by a dictator, the dictator re-opens the case of the PM that he threw away, somehow the officials of the force that killed the person now also want to testify that they killed the person on orders of the PM at that time. Now comes the fastest execution in the history of Pakistan. This whole story doesn't pass the smell test and sounds completely bogus, created just to hang Bhutto. It was an epic failure of the system in Pakistan and it put the country on the path of Democratic decline, giving more and more power to army generals who could do anything and can take over power anytime and then bring these sham cases to hang political leaders.

there are some pivotal facts that wasn't provided in the documentary which is why gathering information from multiple sources is important before deciding something. Bhutto when he lost the elections to shiekh mujeeb, announced that whoever attends the ceremony in bangladesh he will break their legs (showing that rules with iron fist), ahmad raza left bhutto's party and went to bangladesh and it made bhutto angry. Then, after the failure of operation searchlight, bhutto had announced something on winning the new elections and stated that all members agree on a topic on which ahmad raza pointed that is false, he along with some other members did not sign. Bhutto then replied that he will 'fix him'. There are numerous instanced in which bhutto silenced his political opponents using fsf and when a ruler decides to rule by an iron fist, and does not respect human values, then he does not have any right complain when the same happens to him. Bhutto literally did worse to his opponents than what he got the only thing that was miscarried is that proper procedures were not followed since the high court was turned into trial court meaning bhutto could not reverse the decision by going into supreme court.

From what I clean out of this interview is that the inclusion of Bhutto's name in the FIR was based on pure speculation. Moreover he describes the incident with details but NO EVIDENCE for the involvement of the then PM was described.

Thousands of people have been murdered so far; have you ever heard of hanging the perpetrator? (I never heard about such news). As per my knowledge (my observation maybe false), the Army installed and Generals executed him via the judiciary once he started dominating the Pakistani Politics and challenged the Army. By the way, you can't hold him responsible for what happened in Bangladesh. Because our Army generals had power, it was their duty to pass over power to elected officials or to punish those who broke the laws.

The review petition was dismissed as it is an therefore the death sentence remained intact. Only modification was that 301 PPC was not to apply. Secondly, a list of punishments were announced under different sections alongside the death sentence, so removal of a single sentence of life would not have done anything unless the death penalty itself was not commuted.

Moreover, our biggest enemy India is in between us. They could block our ways whenever they wanted. We have to pass from India whether we travel by air, land or sea. So, be a rational one. I'll say that we could never protect that Eastern Pakistan. Now come to solution: we should have given them independence when they demanded. As it was need of an hour and very evident that geographically we were very weak on both the sides bcz of India, the greatest enemy of Pakistan. If we had given them independence then they would have remained our grateful forever.

You know 3 judges were against hanging. Capital punishment is not given in such bifurcation. It is world law. Justice naseem n two other judges told on TV that we were under pressure of zia to hang Mr Bhutto. After great leader now see the worse condition of peoples of Pakistan's and economy of Pakistan's.

@Md. Jasim His role in separation wasn't as big as the establishment of that time who were calling the shots in reality. Though he never wanted to concede the power to Mujib or Awami Party. Neither did he oppose the generals of that time. After coming into power he didn't try to bring to justice those who were responsible for the separation of country.
