    INSANE

  • @HODthunderwolf
    @HODthunderwolf 4 месяца назад +7

    The one part of this I disagree on was the ref intervention. During the sequence where Usyk was landing at will on Fury the ref legitimately intercepted an Usyk punch and held onto his wrist. He then let go and allowed the action to continue. That is not some excusable ‘either way’ thing. That’s him outright interfering with the action to protect while not actually stopping the fight or scoring a knockdown.
    May have been the angle you watched from that you didn’t notice but it’s insanely blatant and inexcusable

    Very good analysis! After watching it again, I even came to the conclusion giving Fury the 12th round is wrong. Usyk landed more. Warren, Hearn, Davies and even Froch are imo wrong when they say it was close.
    Fury / Usyk
    1) 9-10
    2) 9-10 (18-20)
    3) 9-10 (27-30)
    4) 10-9 (37-39)
    5) 10-9 (47-48)
    6) 10-9 (57-57)
    7) 9-10 (66-67)
    8) 9-10 (75-77)
    9) 8-10 (83-87)
    10) 9-10 (92-97)
    11) 9-10 (101-107)
    12) 9-10 (110-117)
    If you want to score the 12th maybe 10-9 Fury or 10-10, it would be either 111-116 or 111-117.
    Sorry but Fury only won for sure rounds 4, 5 and 6. People say he won some rounds of the first three, but he didnt really. The showboating fooled too many people even me.

    • @andyhall666
      @andyhall666 3 месяца назад +2

      I 100% agree with your scorecard. And the 12th wasn't in dispute for me - another Usyk round, even though Hatman gives it to Fury. And the 4th was actually close as well, which no one seems to mention. Could even give that to Usyk. But regardless, clear Usyk win although a lot of the rounds were competitive.

    I scored this round for round exactly the same way when I watched it live.
    1, 2, 3, Usyk
    4, 5, 6, Fury
    7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Usyk
    12, Fury.
    With round 9 being a 10/8 round to Usyk.
    116/111 in favour of Usyk.

    • @xiv7477
      @xiv7477 4 месяца назад +3

      I guess Hatman's right and they were fooled by Fury's showboating, because I saw Usyk pushing the pace in the first three rounds, taking the centre of the ring, being the aggressor, and landing the cleaner, more effective punches.
      I gave 1-3 to Usyk
      4-7 Fury
      8-11 Usyk
      12 swing round
      So 116-111 Usyk, or 115-112 if you gave the last round to Fury. How one judge could score the fight for Fury baffles me... unless of course there was a financial incentive involved 👀

    One on the weight thing. It showed which pundits can be trusted and who can't.
    Hatman instantly changed his opinion based on the false knowledge, because had it been true it would've been a disaster. Plenty of pundits were defending it saying it'll be good for Usyk to be bigger etc.
    They'll just say whatever people want them to say.

  • @devonsinclair6994

    Watching the fight live I was baffled how everyone scored the first three rounds to Fury. I was watching it BT commentary, they were very bias towards Fury but even with the commentary I still scored the first 3 to Usyk comfortably. Everytime Usyk landed, Fury would start showboating which is a tell Usyk just landed something clean. Rounds 4,5,6 were very good rounds for Fury, but those rounds Usyk was taking a breather and his output went down, but while Usyk wasn't throwing he made Fury throw a lot of punches which drained Fury by round 7. Round 8 Usyk busted Fury's nose badly. We all know what happened in round 9, round 10, 11 were slow but Usyk rounds. Round 12 was Fury. It was a clear Usyk win. The showboating of Fury and the commentary fooled most people.

    Leonard v Hagler controversy. Much closer fight but fans and judges blinded by flash and bursts of activity confined to last minute of each round and flashy showy non effective work.
    Hagler like Uysk chased their opponents and their punching output was more dominant and effective. Maybe not being the a-side means tv commentators favoured TFury but watching it live I saw Uysk clearly winning most rds and doing severe consistent damage to Fury (8-4)
    I think Dubois AJ Tyson trying to outbox Uysk and win from the outside is due to their fear of going on the front foot and not being able to maintain it for 12
    Uysks movement feints and distance movement is difficult to read and expends your energy if you wait to counter him.
    Uysk is more of a volume concussive puncher but in the 7-12 rds when your cardio is ending their power increases hence him stopping Dubios almost stopping AJ in the first and stopping Fury (Mark Francis the cheating ref clearly on WBC orders to stop an Uysk 9th rd ko)
    As a natural cruiser weigh his lighter on his feet and quicker hand speed and all round athlete similar to Mike Tyson’s superior speed and power causing chaos for lumbering one paced heavyweight.
    Respect to both men but
    Uysks chin is elite he took some bad uppercuts and right hands staggered returned for more action.
    Is there anything else for him to prove apart fro cash ?
    Happy new year

  • @cyfar2768
    @cyfar2768 4 месяца назад +4

    The problem was that unlike AJ who stood like a man and was willing to trade regardless of being tired in the final 2 rounds, Fury wasn’t.
    He ran on the back foot for the rest of the fight almost like someone who was winning and looking to cruise to victory. This meant Usyk was having to chase just like he had been having to do for the majority of the fight! In the end Usyk won the final 2 rounds on punches landed but was unable to really force the stoppage or pace as Fury was not willing to engage.
    Let’s also make no mistake about it, this was not the Usyk who fought AJ! He has definitely begun to decline! Usyk was visibly slower for the majority of the fight and he needed longer to recover his stamina in the middle rounds just like against Dubois. I believe those 2 AJ fights took a lot out of Usyk just like the Wildee fights took a lot out of Fury.
    If AJ can stay strong and play his cards right he could end up at the top of the heap before he retires as he is the only one showing an upward curve and improvements. It’s why I believe Usyk and Fury might retire to avoid defeats due to ageing.

  • @minialbinocuda1

    Calculated, front foot counterpunching southpaw with elite hand speed and the best footwork in Heavyweight boxing (maybe ever). Usyk is the full bag of tricks and he even has some serious power on the rare occasions when he sits down on his shots. His chin is underrated. His "weak body" is a myth. His IQ and stamina are off the charts. His accomplishments are legendary. Gold everything in the Amateurs. Undisputed Cruiser and Heavy in only 22 professional fights. Time to hang them up. Nothing left to prove. Oleksandr Usyk has made boxing better than it's been in decades and I'm glad I was lucky enough to watch.

  • @PalladinPoker
    @PalladinPoker 4 месяца назад +4

    Usyk's aggression and lateral movement make all his opponents hesitant to throw heavy leather. AJ took a lot of flak for boxing with him but Bellew, Dubois and Fury couldn't keep him on his back foot either.
    Usyk's power is also no joke, he hurt AJ early in the first fight and knocked Fury out. Personally I'd say it's all of Speed, Power, Skill and Aggression that stops people 3 stone heavier from walking him down.

  • @ArranVid
    @ArranVid 4 месяца назад +5

    If Fury could push back Usyk, he would, but he can't...because he doesn't have the stamina to keep on making Usyk fight on the back foot and Usyk is a very good boxer that can punish, as Fury and AJ realize.

    I can't believe how close this analysis was to that of my own. I especially picked up on Usyk's methods in the clinch. Expert stuff.
    Only thing I would say Hatman, I think you were spot on about the turning point actually being in the 8th, not the 9th. When Usyk lands cleanly on Fury's nose and busts it open, that's what turns things prior to the flurry in the next round.
    And absolutely agree, people who give Fury any of the first 3 rounds or all this bollocks about him being 5-1 up after 6 are talking squarely out their arse.

    • @RossKempOnYourMum01
      @RossKempOnYourMum01 4 месяца назад +1

      The turning point was actually before the nose break. In the 8th, Usyk started holding his feet in the pocket and countering that fury uppercut with combinations. For the previous 3 rounds the uppercut had been freezing or backing Usyk off.
      The moment Usyk kept the exchange going THROUGH the fury single shot, Fury was shaken. Fury came to throw singles and disengage rather than mix it with the smaller Usyk - which tells me that he and his team must know his chin is shot to pieces.

    After 3 rounds Compubox had Usyk 21-12 up on power punches. Fury lead 21-12'in jabs. By the end of the 7th Fury had built a lead in power punches 63 to 56. It was 69-68 to Fury end of round 8. From rounds 10 Usyk took over 36-15 in power punches which coincides with the bloody nose. If I was Tyson I'd go up to 270 lbs and take it to Usyk. Bearing in mind he has no sparring due to cut I think he'd have a good chance if winning by stoppage. Either way both are past their prime now.

  • @Potatoshaneko
    @Potatoshaneko 4 месяца назад +2

    Fury's nose was definitely broken in that fight, but I don't think it was from round one. If you look at all his fights, he's always dabbing at his face, nose etc as it's part of his feint game. The broken nose came in the 8th in my opinion.
    You make a good point about the big lads not having that killer instinct against Usyk. I think in the case of Fury vs Wilder, he was able to push him back because he knew he only had one weapon which he could see coming from a mile away. With Usyk he punches in bunches a lot of the time and they're short, fast and accurate. He definitely hits harder than advertised as you say and I think if you combine all of that, plus his movement you have your reason why in my opinion.

    Hatman you in my eyes have nailed it. You have put into words how I felt watching it.
    I see everything Fury said or done with Usyk as a bluff. He didn’t want this fight cause he knew it’s a hard one, so
    He started with the insults and the belittling no pun intended. It seemed the more he needed to insure the public it was a pointless fight the louder and more insulting he got.
    The show boating in the ring was the same he wasn’t doing these things cause what he was doing was making him feel cocky and in complete control
    It was obvious in the way and when he was showing off to the crowd it was that same bluff but in physical form.

I don't care how big the other man is, if a 6.3ft top athlete with decades of Boxing experience catches you flush, even if you see it coming it's gonna do damage. If you don't see it coming you're going down. If Fury hadn't been cut & the fight had happened I'm thinking that Fury wouldn't have survived the 9th round.

      @johnmichaelson9173 You are right because of usyk his amateur career you can't surprise him really. He knows most styles because he faced them already back in the day. He's a special athlete. People forget how he damaged Tony bellew. That has a good chin. The entire year usyk is in shape. That those a lot for an athlete. Tyson fury can come back. A loss is just a loss. Fury recovering skills are mind blowing. But usyk is from another level.

      @@sniper11n.d.34 When I first started watching Boxing, many years ago, losing a fight was just part of the sport it wasn't this big deal like it is now. So yeah you're absolutely right it's just a loss it's not the end of the World. I think Usyk will honour the rematch, he's the A-side this time & the money is so good he'll take the fight. I'd be up for fight 2, Fury has plenty he can improve on especially fitness conditioning. Now Usyk knows he can hurt Fury he'll be looking to get him outta there. I did enjoy the fight, they both delivered but I'm thinking Usyk has Fury's number.

    • @Smoking_Joe
      @Smoking_Joe 4 месяца назад +1

      I wanted Usyk to win and I had it 4-2 for Fury after 6rds. -Not a million miles away.....I also thought after Fury's work in the 4th through to 6th where he was slowing down Usyk with body shots and borderline low blows and landed a few hard uppercuts on Usyk making him back up that maybe the fight was Tyson's. I was definitely feeling a little worried at that point He seemed to have figured him out.........But that all changed from then on. I didn't give Fury another round after that. So I ended up giving the fight to Usyk 8 rounds to 4 with a 10-8 round in the 9th giving a final score of 116-111. A decisive victory.
      On the whole the officiating was good other than the WBC Craig Metcalfe card giving it Fury by a round. The referee was decent and in the 9th did what was expected considering the magnitude of the fight and Fury's known powers of recovery. It's just a shame that it didn't happen earlier in the round and Usyk could have KOd him.

    Fury didn’t have the engine to keep it going & yes some of the body shots was effective but Usyk has a very good poker face wen hurt & will make you feel what ever your doing isn’t working & that’s when your sole starts to disappear & your confidence he’s less & less till your absolutely blowing outta your ass I’m just pissed off usyk was denied from finishing fury off in the 9th round & from wen then count started till he was told to carry on i used my stopwatch & it was 16 seconds then the bell came,the ref was definitely team fury & the ref didn’t even say ONCE about fury using his arm as a stick to keep Usyk away your only aloud to do that for a very very brief second but fury took the piss with it

    The sad thing is that the score cards gave Fury 3 of those rounds, which is insane. I do not even know what the people were watching, Fury was trowing a lot of shots that literally ended in the air or on the gloves of Usyk.
    And for the 9th round stoppage, it is a judgement call, but if he was about to initiate an 8 second count he should have done that during the 3 times Fury was stopped by the ropes before that.
    In addition to that, the ref did not give him 8 seconds, he gave him 20 seconds, which is absolutely isnane.

How!!? Where!!? What boxing match were they watching!? Like Hartman said, Fury was not even close to winning the first 3 rounds! He did nothing!! And I am out here hearing people say they gave Fury the first 5 or 6 rounds!!. How!!? Where!!? And why!!? It’s was almost like Eddie gave everyone is blunt with his annalist at the end of the match and they were all smoking it at the same time!!…. Just to throw some stats at the AJ fan boys who are criticising Fury after his performance against Usyk. In AJ’s first fight with Usyk, he threw 641 punches and landed 123 (19% accuracy). In his second bout, he threw 492 punches and landed 124 (25% accuracy). In Fury’s fight against Usyk, he threw 496 punches and landed 157 (31.7% accuracy) - which shows that Fury actually had more success than AJ. Also, in AJ’s first bout with Usyk, he lost by unanimous decision, as opposed to Fury’s split decision. In the Usyk AJ rematch, it was a split decision, however, the scorecard was 116-112, 115-113 and 113-115; whereas the scorecard with Usyk Fury was 115-112, 113-114, 114-113, therefore the Fury Usyk fight was judged to be a closer contest. The two best heavyweights fought each other on Saturday night. That is why THEY were the ones with the belts; and why THEY were the ones fighting for undisputed; and why THEY were both undefeated.

    Fantastic video, Hatman, as usual, quite intelligently put together. Like you, I was always frustrated that Tyson Fury's showboating seemed to win him rounds / fights. The first Wilder fight is an example of such where people cried robbery whereas a draw was the best result, and a knockout from Wilder would have not been far-fetched. However, I must say that your planned slo-mo video of the contentious rounds is not reality. None of us, the numpties you referred to, and yourself, watched the fight in slo-mo, which is why people, including the judges saw the fight differently. Imagine if each round is scored after watching slo-mo versions of them. That will be ginormously ridonkolous me thinks. Good job though re your contents.
