My 2024 model S does not have the interior illumination button you mentioned. I want to adjust the dashboard lighting. How do I do it?

On the dashboard on the right hand side of the speedometer (right by the 140mph indicator) is a black knob. That knob is used to adjust the brightness of the gauge cluster when you twist it counter clockwise (dimmer) and clockwise (brighter.) Pushing the knob in will be used to reset your trip odometer. Additionally, on your infotainment touch screen shroud, on the left side, the third button down has an icon for the sun and moon. Pressing that button will cycle between day and night brightness for the touch screen. If you'd like to adjust the touch screen brightness any more than that, go into settings>display>brightness and adjust to your satisfaction. Hope this helps!

And how do you get the trunk light off when you leave the hatch open?

Not on the S trim, SV and SR trims can both use apple carplay and android auto projection to use waze and other compatible apps on the touchscreen
