Returning players should play in lower tiers to get back into things. Playing against lower quality (bots) opponents doesn't really prepare you for playing tier 9/10 experienced players.

In the End of Game results, the Battle Type literally says BOTS. So this is a built-in thing - either a mode he selected or something WG put in for returning players to get back into the habits and patterns to play. Edit: I would also be surprised if the results from these "warm-up" games count towards anything in the same way that Training Rooms don't.
bot games with one or two real players each side on the asian server were all i had when i returned from covid and they definitely counted towards my rating ...i only play random free to play.. now after a couple of weeks i am back in the normal lowest tier against good players mode every time...the honeymoon period is well over. I feel sure if i take six months off this whole process will be repeated.
As you noted, the patent description articulates the ability to recognize and manipulate win streaks/losing streaks. Implicit in that ability is the methods/means to engineer team composition, map selection, RNG allocations, etc. In other words, MM can (and does) manipulate a variety of input variables to engineer 'balanced' outcomes. That WG does this not simply to balance against win or loss streaks but for returning players or other preferred customers should come as no shock -- the MM is Wargaming's meaty thumb on the scale, and is present in every battle.
WG has admitted doing that in a video interview few years ago. There were 2 top WG guys who explicitly said they know more about human psychology and how to use it in the MM than you can ever imagine (paraphrasing).

Spot on Claus. I’ve been complaining and making comments about this ever since I saw the marketing of the services from boosting companies (or company). I even asked if it was legal! There’s no way of winning some games because WG and/or boosting services wrench the mechanics of the game!

Awesome idea and they already have the same thing in World of Warships an its called Cooperative Battles. Where its a team of human players + some bots vs a team of 100% bots. And it is very popular in WoWS played more frequently than Random Battles.

There's algorithms for everything. That's how both tanks and players are balanced. Why you get muppets in your or enemy team, why you hit ground while aimed or snap accross the map, it's algo deciding to balance stats of players and tanks. So not RNG but ANG. When you enter a battle you get allocated in 2 tables, one for team and one for sigma/pen. However, algorithm can decide to flip you up or down in that sigma/pen table in the middle of the game. It's really easily noticeable.
WG will never admit this, but it is happening. Yesterday i had a few games with Shptk. That tank had a good gun with fast reload. A few games were okayish but then i had a game where i shot 29 shells and hit 7. Most of the shells just dip in front of tanks like 5-10m before.
@@gorans9756 SPGs are worse. I stopped playing them about two years ago as a single clip from my EVEN 90 does more damage per match. 30 shots with a Bert, fully aimed in - 3 or 4 hits. Match after match. Full gear, 4 skill crew. 15% hits. I could fire two shots from any tank and do more damage.
I would have to agree, my game gets alot easier right after I purchase some tank But after few weeks of not buying any tank, game magically becomes harder for me. Especially teammate wise.
I had same experience, I couldn't afford prem account and immediately started losing and when I got prem I started winning again, this has been going on for over a year and happened every time.
It even says: "Battle type = bots" at the bottom of the replay, definitely the "warm up mode". Doesn't count against the general stats or mark of excellence.
Returning players get this matching. I think they get 10 return games with outher players that also return to the game, if it can't find others at the time it will just give you bots. After you complete the warm up starter games you then forced back into normal match making. I had it on an alt account and had some crazy dmg wins.
This is warm-up mode. Was announced previously by WG that it was out for players that didn't play for a while, and they would play some battles in this mode before going into randoms. Stats,such as damage record or marks of excellence won't count when you play here. Please at least be aware of what's new

When you keep educating people on false affirmation about rigged rng and so on, follower will A quit the game B keep playing, never learn, under the bias that they are never in control of the what happen in battles. It built defeatism, people who wont impact battles outcome because they are trapped thinking it's not possible.
As an arty player I chatted with a number of arty players in game one Saturday who were experiencing the same thing I was: suddenly not being able to hit anything. This has happened on a number of occasions during peak playing hours.
I gave up on arty about two years ago - 20 shots fired, 3 hits. match after match. ONE shell from my T95 does more damage on average than an entire game with a SPG they are so useless now.
Come on Claus! This is happening every battle, every game. I am always on a defeat streaks, without getting win streaks. And, as you say, TEAMMATES in my battles are at least 50%-60% bots. But, I have never seen something like that. And I believe it is also the other way round. If you do not spend enough, they put you in a straight loses series, so that you get mad and spend money on premium tanks to TRY and win. It's all manipulation of the customers, so that WG gets profit. Nice video! Keep up!
I've noted the easy games on new tanks or after sometime not playing. The honeymoon ends after a few games. Although I've never seen anything like this in tier X EDIT: It's warm up mode, there's a video somewhere....
Speaking of bots, yesterday i booted up wot after like a year and got 7 "warm-up" battles where i was the ONLY human except a few games where i had some other players on my team. Managed to get around 50,000 xp, so that was fun.
Definite SHENANIGANS going by War gaming. My win rate, match making, and RNG has been horrendous in the past 2 months, I normally have a 53% win rate but since last 'patch' I have been averaging only about 35 -40%, getting teamed with absolute, complete and total MORONS, and shot after shot of mine going wide.
Me too, 40000 matches a blue 53% ein Rate solo Player, now 45% ein rate nur always top dmg or in the first 3 dmg dealer!!!!!! Often i bounce or dont hit from 10 m distance full aimed with 0.3 accuracy!!!! Wtf !!! All since the last Update!!!!

I am free to play player. I've noticed that over the last 4 or 5 years I've been getting about twice as many unwinnable games. Once that ratio was 20% certainly won, 20% surely lost, but now, in my opinion, it is approximately 15% surely won and 35-40% surely lost. Probably in this way, the pay to win players are stimulated to think that they are monogo better than they are.
It also happened to me... I did not play for like 10 months.. At first i was confused all the other players moved like bots then i noticed it is just like a warm up battle....the out come of the battle doesnt affect your personal stats
Minimum 1000 battel not loged in for 180 days you will go in warm-up mode (training). If you look at first page of post stat game you will see ''Battel type: Bots''.
thanks for exposing cheaters I have been slowly working on my missions for the 279 E and its taking a lot longer than i want but I am doing it myself. so once I achieve this I know I earned it not paid to get it .
The day after I unlocked obj260, I won 21/23 games... I think that was a gift. As well I think somtimes whenever many not usuals players are playing, WG trie to hook them by giving them many wins... while usuals players are crying that's unplayable. This is too curious to be normal.
This bot-filled game is a feature, Wargaming released a video stating that returning players have a 10 battle warming up period to fight bots, then can return to random games. And no, stats, marks of excellence and personal missions aren't counted. What's the issue?

Bots are easy to spot, though. Find their real name and then.. 900 battles in 6 days, all T1-T5, evenly spread across all nations. Obvious bots based on behavior no human would possibly replicate.
When I see a two mark or a three mark in a game, there are two options, the earned it or far far likely they paid for it. It's to the point where I see multiple marks I immediately assume they paid for it.
The tanks drove around quite convincingly but what gave it away was the absence of mapspamming, flaming in the chat and the obligatory message at the start "noob team lost again" :D
This is not a random battle. There is NO WAY he did all the dmg we hve seen nd not get Mastery badge. Either Klaus is trolling us to make us comment and promote his channel, or Klaus is a muppet for believing this is what actually happened.
As someone who used to boost people on World of Tanks for real money, I worked as a duo with my now best friend & flatmate. We would find people who want three marks on a certain tank, obviously we would charge more for a tier ten and even more for a hard tank like the Obj 907 etc. We would always platoon, one of us would boost & the other would play something like a Maus or E-100 to tank everything and just track people. We got things done so much quicker like this as opposed to do solo. We never rigged matchmaking to an extent of using bots or logging into other accounts to farm damage on the enemy team etc. Bare in mind this was back in 2017/18 so the game was a little different to how it is now.
Somethign to add to this - I just logged into my first ever account on WoT, not played since 2015. First game, Lakeville, 14 bots on my team, 15 on the other. I did 13k damage but it didn't affect my stats. I drowned my tank to see what would happen - I left the battle early as nothing happened. My tank was immediately available and I didn't gane any Exp or Creds. Seems just like a "warm up" battle for older players returning to the game.
Funny thing about the bots is, they have typical names for the country, their tank is from. Italian tank has italian player's name, chinese tanks have chinese named drivers and so on
If you would have read patch notes lately, they said that returning players get to do Botgames for their first games regardless of the tier. But its ok

I have said these for years...😎😎😎 1) WG puts better players in one team n below average on another...so game ends faster with score of 15-3/4/5 2) The team that is supposed to loose will have bad rng than the fixed winning team 3) Sometimes WG will just log u out or give massive lag spikes if u r in the loosing team n at a critical outcome changing moment. 4) The rng of new or lootbox premium tank is massively boosted regardless of above 3 points. 5) Some of matchmaking employees r connected with boosting companies at platoon matching.
The answer to WHY? Is customer retention. I’ve been trying get it across that in order to reduce player churn the company introduced a handicap system about three years ago. This has been refined to the point we are at today. Think of it like a golf handicap that’s intended to level the playing field for the lesser skilled. It’s achieved by reducing or increasing damage per shot and at its extreme the better player is playing the game with a fraction of a second delay applicable to them.
It is part of a welcome back warm up matchmaking you get several of these match styles that do not count towards your stats to help get you back in the groove of the game
Claus - it was a Warm Up game because he had not played for years ! As you can clearly see above the countdown before the game began . Hence the 29 Bots . He also didn’t get any medals or ace tanker for his 15K damage . That one was easy to solve .
Grandijooss is lucky. When I stopped playing the game for awhile (being upset with the pay2win OP prem/reward tanks, unbalanced MM, frequent 1-sided blowouts, etc.) and then when I come back, I would get 14 players who play like bots on my team, and the enemy team would blow thru us in 2 mins. WG just hates me, probably because I don't pay them.

I would like an answer to clarify this so maybe it's not wargaming purpose to put bots in a random battle maybe there is a mod like practice that puts you in a match with bots.
Did you ever play that training camp or how it's called for new players? Basically there when teach you how to make repairs, one of the bots snipe exactly in that second in the tracks... This means that the server can put any bullets where it wants.
I looked up his profile: This game hasn't been counted to his statistics. His highest damage game is 5,751 dmg. So this might be intendet? I guess that all kinds of missions are disabled in those games too 12:52 Battle-Type: Bots. There you have it :)
Claus, a real eye-opening video. Thanks. Battle summary page says game was played at 19:25 and battle type Bots. Why would MM intentionally make a bot game at 7:25PM at tier 10. I never realized that game type info was there. As to your greater point, Does MM make different games for Content Creators (or certain ones)? Does MM decide if I have won to many games, or my results were too good lately. I've spent more money and time playing this than I should have if I can't decide if my stats are real. I would also like to add that we did clanwars.Sometimes we recruited players who were with us in teamspeak for practice and during the clanwars battles.I remember a man and woman who lived together.The woman played worse then the bots.She had a overall winrate of 43% on back then +14k battles.There was also a older man who would only drive the t95 and would always drive it to the defending side edge of the map and sit there with his ass against the border of the map and wouldnt move until the battle was over.Frustrating back then,hilarious to think back on. This exact thing happened to me! I had been gone for a good 2 years and my first 5 battles were agains bots as a "warmup" i believe it was a special playermode, it wasnt a random battle. I was so proud of my 9k dmg in my T-10 until i realised it was agains bots.. You seen on the victory screen that there are no medals and stuff, that's because of the warmup mode.
I just returned to the game after about a year absence. I got a series of warmup games against bots - I was the only human player. But it was clear from the get-go what was happening. I got no ribbons, none of the stats counted - again, this was stated.
this happens in other games too .. in clash of clans when i stop for some months, as i return all the first villages i attack are full of resources and abandoned ... the same happens in Clash Royale .. the first battles are easy wins, then it goes normal again !
This IS an actual warm-up mode. But Claus is right in that if they have the ability to have bots at all levels, it's almost certain that they are using them to fill in for lower player counts, especially on the smaller servers.
Doesnt surprise me one bit. I also wouldnt be surprised if WG heavily favors one team over another in Match Making . The amount of lopsided losses in some games are statistically impossible if the teams are supposed to be evenly matched. Im talking several games in a row of blowouts. Maybe their gearing the game towards the people who spend money?
Unreal. I wasn't expecting to see 29 bots and now an OBJ705a damage record. BUT, I'm pretty convinced that these boost companies are actually owned by WG and it's their "side hustle". I suspect this because they're not shutting them down. It's too bad they want to basically screw their primary players. I do/did love playing the game.
i would say its not WG that own them but the devs side hustle and its not their only scam, how does a stat padding scam that depends on accomplices on the other team, end up in the same game unless their is some manipulating in the WG servers

Why does this surprise you guys? WARGAMING would absolutely have to be involved in order to get the right people on both teams in the same match. I thought people already knew this. I like staying up to date on the game, but stopped playing almost a year ago because of this very reason. On the Russian and Chinese servers you don’t see these kind of matches very often. WARGAMING allows their boosting company partners to utilize the EU and NA servers. I thought this was common knowledge amongst the community. People have been complaining for years on the NA and EU servers, you think they haven’t heard our complaints? They have since 2016 but don’t care because they are making money from rich kids who can’t or don’t want to grind. They choose NA and EU servers to fuck up matches because of the low player volume compared to the Russian and Chinese servers. My advice is just go to a different game. Stop playing. Hopefully another developer will come out with a new tank game. THEY WOULD MAKE A KILLING AND WOULD ABSOLUTELY STEAL ALMOST THE WHOLE NA AND EU PLAYER BASE FROM WARGAMING. LOL
Do the bots get full crew skills, fully upgraded tanks, field mods, full equipment load outs, food and repair kits, and do they get a choice of ammo? I would hate to think the bots are at a disadvantage!
no WG would never infect there game with bots, bad or good RNG in random account besed, never the will hold people down which are raging or push people which they will win back...never they would infect missions not to fullfill, the would never create a side company for boosting accounts for side money...
I noticed the player numbers are falling off even accounting for days of the week and all. I have also noticed different levels of bot skill, normally they don't shoot when they have great shots lined up and just bumble around, but sometimes they pull off impossible shots like magic. I think WG is panicked as the fun factor and new players are ignored and the focus is on making a buck and players feel manipulated rather than earning a good game on their own. I have felt for a while that free to play players are just targets for pay to win guys to shoot at. I think I play more out of habit than for fun.
@ 12:32 it shows Battle Type: Bots - it was marked at the bottom after the Server game time: - WoT not really hiding it. Its just a warmup. Did the performance really affect his WTR rating?
WG have specifically told me in a response to a ticket on MM, that they do not have anything regarding player skills in the MM algorithm. I have taken that response with a grain a salt as they couldn't explain how the enemy team had 4 light tanks and we had 2. When trying to explain the MM they said that there should not be more than 1 tank difference in any class of tank within a tier or in total of class, yet in that game we had exposed their lie and they had the audacity to say that MM was working as intended. I still have the ticket response and will use it against them when needed.
They've had a matchmaker like this for years at this point. That's why they argue they never want to implement a Skill based matchmaker, they already have a Mulipulative based Matchmaker...
This is a mode for returning players where you can play up to 10 games I think, It's called warmup or some such thing. When I did it they weren't all bots but mostly I think.
@clauskellerman, don’t you see that on the end game results screen it says “Battle type: Bots”? It explains why all the players are bots, it is the mode that the player chose.
There is a maximum of 7 (official) bots on each team at low tiers and team numbers can be reduced to 10, so you can get 10v10 with only 34 actual players on each team.

I have been complaining to my buddies for at least the last 6 months about my suspicion that WG has been seeding matches with BOTS. Blowout matches are now the norm, and I attribute that to the presence of BOTS. My best guess as to why they are seeding matches is to make it appear that the game isn't dying, and that there are still lots of players playing in the NA server, which there aren't, any more. Catching WG seeding a Tier X match with 29 BOTS indicates to me that there is nothing they won't stoop to, and that WG has no integrity at all. Sad.

There's algorithms for everything. That's how both tanks and players are balanced. Why you get muppets in your or enemy team, why you hit ground while aimed or snap accross the map, it's algo deciding to balance stats of players and tanks. So not RNG but ANG. When you enter a battle you get allocated in 2 tables, one for team and one for sigma/pen. However, algorithm can decide to flip you up or down in that sigma/pen table in the middle of the game. It's really easily noticeable.
WG will never admit this, but it is happening. Yesterday i had a few games with Shptk. That tank had a good gun with fast reload. A few games were okayish but then i had a game where i shot 29 shells and hit 7. Most of the shells just dip in front of tanks like 5-10m before.
Exactly. Just don’t push tank that doesn’t want to be pushed. If it behaves obviously bad, stop it, take another tank.
@@sandsea I agree, but sometimes any tank you take out does great OR just bites. In those cases play as much as you can take and give up for the day.

@@gorans9756 SPGs are worse. I stopped playing them about two years ago as a single clip from my EVEN 90 does more damage per match. 30 shots with a Bert, fully aimed in - 3 or 4 hits. Match after match. Full gear, 4 skill crew. 15% hits. I could fire two shots from any tank and do more damage.
I would have to agree, my game gets alot easier right after I purchase some tank
But after few weeks of not buying any tank, game magically becomes harder for me.

I had same experience, I couldn't afford prem account and immediately started losing and when I got prem I started winning again, this has been going on for over a year and happened every time.
when I had the improved pass of BP season 10 I was winning and I had good scores, now when I don't have the improved pass I get like 30% wr

It even says: "Battle type = bots" at the bottom of the replay, definitely the "warm up mode". Doesn't count against the general stats or mark of excellence.
Returning players get this matching. I think they get 10 return games with outher players that also return to the game, if it can't find others at the time it will just give you bots. After you complete the warm up starter games you then forced back into normal match making. I had it on an alt account and had some crazy dmg wins.
This is warm-up mode. Was announced previously by WG that it was out for players that didn't play for a while, and they would play some battles in this mode before going into randoms. Stats,such as damage record or marks of excellence won't count when you play here. Please at least be aware of what's new

When you keep educating people on false affirmation about rigged rng and so on, follower will A quit the game B keep playing, never learn, under the bias that they are never in control of the what happen in battles. It built defeatism, people who wont impact battles outcome because they are trapped thinking it's not possible.
As an arty player I chatted with a number of arty players in game one Saturday who were experiencing the same thing I was: suddenly not being able to hit anything. This has happened on a number of occasions during peak playing hours.
I gave up on arty about two years ago - 20 shots fired, 3 hits. match after match. ONE shell from my T95 does more damage on average than an entire game with a SPG they are so useless now.

Come on Claus! This is happening every battle, every game. I am always on a defeat streaks, without getting win streaks. And, as you say, TEAMMATES in my battles are at least 50%-60% bots. But, I have never seen something like that. And I believe it is also the other way round. If you do not spend enough, they put you in a straight loses series, so that you get mad and spend money on premium tanks to TRY and win. It's all manipulation of the customers, so that WG gets profit. Nice video! Keep up!

I've noted the easy games on new tanks or after sometime not playing. The honeymoon ends after a few games.

Speaking of bots, yesterday i booted up wot after like a year and got 7 "warm-up" battles where i was the ONLY human except a few games where i had some other players on my team. Managed to get around 50,000 xp, so that was fun.

My win rate, match making, and RNG has been horrendous in the past 2 months, I normally have a 53% win rate but since last 'patch' I have been averaging only about 35 -40%, getting teamed with absolute, complete and total MORONS, and shot after shot of mine going wide.
Me too, 40000 matches a blue 53% ein Rate solo Player, now 45% ein rate nur always top dmg or in the first 3 dmg dealer!!!!!! Often i bounce or dont hit from 10 m distance full aimed with 0.3 accuracy!!!! Wtf !!! All since the last Update!!!!

I am free to play player. I've noticed that over the last 4 or 5 years I've been getting about twice as many unwinnable games. Once that ratio was 20% certainly won, 20% surely lost, but now, in my opinion, it is approximately 15% surely won and 35-40% surely lost. Probably in this way, the pay to win players are stimulated to think that they are monogo better than they are.
It also happened to me... I did not play for like 10 months.. At first i was confused all the other players moved like bots then i noticed it is just like a warm up battle....the out come of the battle doesnt affect your personal stats
Minimum 1000 battel not loged in for 180 days you will go in warm-up mode (training).
If you look at first page of post stat game you will see ''Battel type: Bots''.
thanks for exposing cheaters I have been slowly working on my missions for the 279 E and its taking a lot longer than i want but I am doing it myself. so once I achieve this I know I earned it not paid to get it .
The day after I unlocked obj260, I won 21/23 games... I think that was a gift.
As well I think somtimes whenever many not usuals players are playing, WG trie to hook them by giving them many wins... while usuals players are crying that's unplayable. This is too curious to be normal.
This bot-filled game is a feature, Wargaming released a video stating that returning players have a 10 battle warming up period to fight bots, then can return to random games. And no, stats, marks of excellence and personal missions aren't counted. What's the issue?

It have happened many times before. I have seen many such strange replays. This time bots are moving at least. It means they upgraded them up ;)
Bots are easy to spot, though. Find their real name and then.. 900 battles in 6 days, all T1-T5, evenly spread across all nations. Obvious bots based on behavior no human would possibly replicate.

When I see a two mark or a three mark in a game, there are two options, the earned it or far far likely they paid for it. It's to the point where I see multiple marks I immediately assume they paid for it.
The tanks drove around quite convincingly but what gave it away was the absence of mapspamming, flaming in the chat and the obligatory message at the start "noob team lost again" :D
This is not a random battle. There is NO WAY he did all the dmg we hve seen nd not get Mastery badge.

As someone who used to boost people on World of Tanks for real money, I worked as a duo with my now best friend & flatmate. We would find people who want three marks on a certain tank, obviously we would charge more for a tier ten and even more for a hard tank like the Obj 907 etc. We would always platoon, one of us would boost & the other would play something like a Maus or E-100 to tank everything and just track people. We got things done so much quicker like this as opposed to do solo. We never rigged matchmaking to an extent of using bots or logging into other accounts to farm damage on the enemy team etc. Bare in mind this was back in 2017/18 so the game was a little different to how it is now.
Somethign to add to this - I just logged into my first ever account on WoT, not played since 2015. First game, Lakeville, 14 bots on my team, 15 on the other. I did 13k damage but it didn't affect my stats. I drowned my tank to see what would happen - I left the battle early as nothing happened. My tank was immediately available and I didn't gane any Exp or Creds. Seems just like a "warm up" battle for older players returning to the game.

Funny thing about the bots is, they have typical names for the country, their tank is from. Italian tank has italian player's name, chinese tanks have chinese named drivers and so on
If you would have read patch notes lately, they said that returning players get to do Botgames for their first games regardless of the tier. But its ok

1) WG puts better players in one team n below average on another...so game ends faster with score of 15-3/4/5
2) The team that is supposed to loose will have bad rng than the fixed winning team
3) Sometimes WG will just log u out or give massive lag spikes if u r in the loosing team n at a critical outcome changing moment.
4) The rng of new or lootbox premium tank is massively boosted regardless of above 3 points.
5) Some of matchmaking employees r connected with boosting companies at platoon matching.
The answer to WHY? Is customer retention. I’ve been trying get it across that in order to reduce player churn the company introduced a handicap system about three years ago. This has been refined to the point we are at today. Think of it like a golf handicap that’s intended to level the playing field for the lesser skilled. It’s achieved by reducing or increasing damage per shot and at its extreme the better player is playing the game with a fraction of a second delay applicable to them.

It is part of a welcome back warm up matchmaking you get several of these match styles that do not count towards your stats to help get you back in the groove of the game
Claus - it was a Warm Up game because he had not played for years ! As you can clearly see above the countdown before the game began . Hence the 29 Bots . He also didn’t get any medals or ace tanker for his 15K damage . That one was easy to solve .
Grandijooss is lucky. When I stopped playing the game for awhile (being upset with the pay2win OP prem/reward tanks, unbalanced MM, frequent 1-sided blowouts, etc.) and then when I come back, I would get 14 players who play like bots on my team, and the enemy team would blow thru us in 2 mins. WG just hates me, probably because I don't pay them.

I would like an answer to clarify this so maybe it's not wargaming purpose to put bots in a random battle maybe there is a mod like practice that puts you in a match with bots.
Did you ever play that training camp or how it's called for new players? Basically there when teach you how to make repairs, one of the bots snipe exactly in that second in the tracks... This means that the server can put any bullets where it wants.

Claus, a real eye-opening video. Thanks. Battle summary page says game was played at 19:25 and battle type Bots. Why would MM intentionally make a bot game at 7:25PM at tier 10. I never realized that game type info was there. As to your greater point, Does MM make different games for Content Creators (or certain ones)? Does MM decide if I have won to many games, or my results were too good lately. I've spent more money and time playing this than I should have if I can't decide if my stats are real. Seriously, what's the point if the games aren't truly random. Does Wargaming think it's customer base is this stupid???

I would also like to add that we did clanwars.Sometimes we recruited players who were with us in teamspeak for practice and during the clanwars battles.I remember a man and woman who lived together.The woman played worse then the bots.She had a overall winrate of 43% on back then +14k battles.There was also a older man who would only drive the t95 and would always drive it to the defending side edge of the map and sit there with his ass against the border of the map and wouldnt move until the battle was over.Frustrating back then,hilarious to think back on. Haha

This exact thing happened to me! I had been gone for a good 2 years and my first 5 battles were agains bots as a "warmup" i believe it was a special playermode, it wasnt a random battle. I was so proud of my 9k dmg in my T-10 until i realised it was agains bots.. You seen on the victory screen that there are no medals and stuff, that's because of the warmup mode.
I just returned to the game after about a year absence. I got a series of warmup games against bots - I was the only human player. But it was clear from the get-go what was happening. I got no ribbons, none of the stats counted - again, this was stated.
The bottom of the score tells you that the battle type is "bots"
this happens in other games too .. in clash of clans when i stop for some months, as i return all the first villages i attack are full of resources and abandoned ... the same happens in Clash Royale .. the first battles are easy wins, then it goes normal again !
Imagine Wargaming gives you a confidence game every 100 defeats.

This IS an actual warm-up mode. But Claus is right in that if they have the ability to have bots at all levels, it's almost certain that they are using them to fill in for lower player counts, especially on the smaller servers.
Doesnt surprise me one bit. I also wouldnt be surprised if WG heavily favors one team over another in Match Making . The amount of lopsided losses in some games are statistically impossible if the teams are supposed to be evenly matched. Im talking several games in a row of blowouts. Maybe their gearing the game towards the people who spend money?
Unreal. I wasn't expecting to see 29 bots and now an OBJ705a damage record. BUT, I'm pretty convinced that these boost companies are actually owned by WG and it's their "side hustle". I suspect this because they're not shutting them down. It's too bad they want to basically screw their primary players. I do/did love playing the game.
i would say its not WG that own them but the devs side hustle and its not their only scam, how does a stat padding scam that depends on accomplices on the other team, end up in the same game unless their is some manipulating in the WG servers

Why does this surprise you guys? WARGAMING would absolutely have to be involved in order to get the right people on both teams in the same match. I thought people already knew this. I like staying up to date on the game, but stopped playing almost a year ago because of this very reason. On the Russian and Chinese servers you don’t see these kind of matches very often. WARGAMING allows their boosting company partners to utilize the EU and NA servers. I thought this was common knowledge amongst the community. People have been complaining for years on the NA and EU servers, you think they haven’t heard our complaints? They have since 2016 but don’t care because they are making money from rich kids who can’t or don’t want to grind. They choose NA and EU servers to fuck up matches because of the low player volume compared to the Russian and Chinese servers. My advice is just go to a different game. Stop playing. Hopefully another developer will come out with a new tank game. THEY WOULD MAKE A KILLING AND WOULD ABSOLUTELY STEAL ALMOST THE WHOLE NA AND EU PLAYER BASE FROM WARGAMING. LOL

no WG would never infect there game with bots, bad or good RNG in random account besed, never the will hold people down which are raging or push people which they will win back...never they would infect missions not to fullfill, the would never create a side company for boosting accounts for side money...
The elite bots are being held in reserve. They will only be unleashed on the servers when Skynet goes active and the bot takeover starts.
I noticed the player numbers are falling off even accounting for days of the week and all. I have also noticed different levels of bot skill, normally they don't shoot when they have great shots lined up and just bumble around, but sometimes they pull off impossible shots like magic. I think WG is panicked as the fun factor and new players are ignored and the focus is on making a buck and players feel manipulated rather than earning a good game on their own. I have felt for a while that free to play players are just targets for pay to win guys to shoot at. I think I play more out of habit than for fun.
If you look at the bottom of the Team Score screen, the Battle type is Bots, so it probably happens more often than we think.
In the post game stats it clearly states "Battle type: Bots"... Unsure where the confusion is coming in.
@ 12:32 it shows Battle Type: Bots - it was marked at the bottom after the Server game time: - WoT not really hiding it. Its just a warmup. Did the performance really affect his WTR rating?
WG have specifically told me in a response to a ticket on MM, that they do not have anything regarding player skills in the MM algorithm. I have taken that response with a grain a salt as they couldn't explain how the enemy team had 4 light tanks and we had 2. When trying to explain the MM they said that there should not be more than 1 tank difference in any class of tank within a tier or in total of class, yet in that game we had exposed their lie and they had the audacity to say that MM was working as intended. I still have the ticket response and will use it against them when needed.
They've had a matchmaker like this for years at this point. That's why they argue they never want to implement a Skill based matchmaker, they already have a Mulipulative based Matchmaker...
If you have been absent from Mother Wargaming, she prepares you a nice little dopamine fix so you stay...
The good thing about bots is they don't cheat as bad as real players.

This is a mode for returning players where you can play up to 10 games I think, It's called warmup or some such thing. When I did it they weren't all bots but mostly I think.

@clauskellerman, don’t you see that on the end game results screen it says “Battle type: Bots”? It explains why all the players are bots, it is the mode that the player chose.
There is a maximum of 7 (official) bots on each team at low tiers and team numbers can be reduced to 10, so you can get 10v10 with only 34 actual players on each team.
Is “give your heads a shake” The clean version of “give your balls a tug” ?

I have been complaining to my buddies for at least the last 6 months about my suspicion that WG has been seeding matches with BOTS. Blowout matches are now the norm, and I attribute that to the presence of BOTS. My best guess as to why they are seeding matches is to make it appear that the game isn't dying, and that there are still lots of players playing in the NA server, which there aren't, any more. Catching WG seeding a Tier X match with 29 BOTS indicates to me that there is nothing they won't stoop to, and that WG has no integrity at all. Sad.
I went to university with Wei-Lou. She preferred to be called Wanda or Miss Lou Wei. :) No bots there! :)
