Driving this car for last 10 months. Before buying, I checked all the reviews. Maruti Baleno & Hyndai I20 was never in my list. But I wanted to buy Mahindra XUV300. I know its a different segment. But then finalised this car.
Needless to say, till date very happy with the overall performance. I was a totally new driver & this is our first car. But I am enjoying driving this.

Dear Ranaji, I m first time buyer of Automatic Hatchback/ SUV ( at present driving old Santro ) but confused about Automatic technologies DCA, DCT, CVT. Please advise which I should go for , Altroz seems to be in my budget & use is maximum city & safety of Altroz is guarnateed. for long drives I drive VENTO & think to go for TAIGUN but its out of budget .

For me Three reasons to buy
1) Indian Car
2) Safest Car in it's class
3) Best in Class DCA. Actually no comparison. My Dad immediately liked the smoothness and precise speed control of the drive. Specifically at lower speeds.

@@SpareWheelOfficialbasically its an outsourced unit ..... Developed in joint coloboration , homogenised for high heat Indian condition.
Secondly, this engine was not introduced to keep the cost factor in check , also heard that it will need a bit of modification to handle extra power of turbo engine.
Tata may bring it with new GDI TURBO Engine. Normal present turbo might be discontinued. ( new GDI turbo might come in 2 state of tune 110 bhp and 125 bhp for racer edition)
Does this DCA car have Hill hold assist?
@spare Wheel What do you feel regarding the ground clearance of the vehicle ( 165 mm ). Is that enough for Indian roads or we have to be very careful while driving.

1. Noise is reduced.
2. Gearbox is covered in warranty. Get extended warramty if in doubt.

Wat about auto lock? I'm hearing that u can open co passengers seat while car is running. Is it true? In DCA, what is lock button near Gearbox?
Near the gearbox its the mode button. Autolock happens but at the same time, it can be opened if we pull the lever with more power.

If Resale and Service time is not a problem, get Altroz.
If you can spend more for premiumness, i20 is a good car.
I will pick Altroz, but I know TATA service is a pain sometimes.

What is the real life mileage of this DCA version?
@@Surendra_suni m getting very low 8-9 on mid but need to check real mileage. I think initially milage will be low till engine piston adjust, need to review after 1000kms

Boht mushkil question hai bhai. Wait karo for new TATA engines.
I will say Altroz is sporty and Punch is fun to drive.
Punch is easy to use car. If your need a car mostly for city, get Punch. If your max usage is on Highway, get Altroz.
Is it worth buying in 2024? Or i20 ivt make better sense

Sir,i want safety along with decent mileage. Budget is approximately 7.5 lakh. Altroz is looking complete package till now. But please do ensure whether it's engine is long lasting like maruti or not. Whether it can last upto 1 lkh km or 2 lkh km if maintained well or not.

Both cars are poles apart. DCT Petrol is fairly slow compared to Diesel.

Haan but Pagdi mila ke meri height 6 ft ban jaati hai, to us vajah se 6 ft ke liye kam hai. Otherwise 5.5-5.10 tak no issues. Also, thode aage hokar baithe to kaafi hai, main test karte samay peeche tak hoke baithta hu.

Newer BS6 Phase 2 models make much less noise.
Most of the thing I don't like in altroz that is mileage is very poor, I'm too using altroz xm+ Variant the car is fantastic but very dissapointment with mileage issues

Plz suggest me a 2nd hand value for money, 2 +1 family hatchback for 1st time buyer under 3 lac, monthly running 700-1000km, monthly highway/village, otherwise in city amritsar. I am just considering ritz, tiago, i10 etc.

My personal favourite is Ritz.
Tiago and i10 are also excellent choices. I would advise you to take test drives of a few cars on OLX to find what drives the best according to you. Ritz and i10 are a bit tall. Tiago is more comfortable in long drives. I feel like Ritz and i10 are easy to drive in city traffic. All three cara are good, but Tiago has low resale value so you won't be able to sell it for good price because higher number of owner decreases the price.

Everything is great about this car and I'm planning to buy one post watching this review. However, I think is an issue or gap with the central locking of the car. Post locking the car can be opened by the same lever. We get a notification if the door is opened but this can be dangerous in case of kids sitting behind. Whats you take.
I honestly hate it, but that has been the case with many other cars as well. I like the car very much and will probably buy it in future, but yeah, locking mechanism isn't good.
However, all companies recommend using child lock at rear seats and no company suggest placing children at front seats. So, when used properly, issues aren't much of a problem.

Door locks is not a problem, they are designed for safety. In case of an accident doors don't get locked and with the lever you can open and come out. It is mandatory to have kids on back seat with child locks ON so no chance of accidental door opening.🙏 If I am not wrong its requirement of 5 star safety.

Very much improved compared to previous cars.
Current NA engine does not justify the dynamics and capabilities of this vehicle. Even the Turbo is not that frugal , diesel is not that refined and is only given on higher models. Looking forward to new GDI 1.2 turbo unit ( which should come in 2 state of tune -110 and 125+bhp )
Tata has got a product which has the potential to sell over 10-12 k MoM.
It has to do work on its interior panel quality, plan for some features and give it a much desired MID LIFE MINOR FACELIFT , as the average PLC of cars nowadays in less then 3 yrs
some of these I have mentioned below :
👉 reshaped bumper and grill ( maybe signature tri-arrow design for grill)
👉 Redesign tail light cluster
👉Reshaped headlamps ( with DRL , sequential indicators, and HEXAGONAL SHAPED projector lamp , instead of round ones , to match the overall design philosophy)
👉Improved panal gaps , better roof liner and options like VENTILATED SEATS
👉 new INFOTAINMENT system with same design
👉New fully digital Instrument cluster for top model ( maybe from facloft NEXON ) , and coloured MID one for lower models.
👉 additional airbags and hight adjustable back seat headrest ( which will become compulsary, eventually for all manufacturers)
👉 REMOTE START/ STOP for connected car tech
👉ADAS as an option in higher models.

TATA should do some work on its 1.5 diesel engine, put some money on R&D , smoothen it , iron out its drwabacks ......offer it on lower trims, and also offer it on TATA PUNCH ,which I feel will be hit among non-metro cities / states where official diesel engine vehicle life if 15y and not just 10y.I feel they still can sell its diesel engine for another 3-4 y
Or , TATA should discontinue it , of they have plans to fully electric, and they feel electric technology is going to be cheaper to produce....

Bhai go with tata or mahindra cars. Safety wise good and maintenance wise not heavy on pockets. If maintenance is not your concern vw or skoda are very good.

Engine sound and vibrations are really irritating without music. There is no refinement after paying 10 -11 lacs of your hard earned money.
It needs better tuning. My friend's altroz is very silent. All he did was RPM adjistment.
Also, new RDE engines are very smooth. Check them out.
Kitni hi safe ko agar chalti car me gate khul jaaye to sab bekar hai … Tata has done the stupidest cost cutting by combining the lock/unlock and door opening latch.
And as much as I like this car the bitter truth IS that apart from HARRIER every other Tata car has the worst engine and gearbox combo in its segment
And take a moment to digest this :
I20 has better safety score, almost twice than altroz in terms of child safety.
So in a way you are sacrificing your child’s safety for your own by opting for Altroz in the name of safety.

Kyu khulega bhai gate? Koi samajhdar Adult to kholega nahi. And bacche piche bithao child lock and ISOFIX ke sath. Bacche aage bitha ke aap apne hi i20 wale point ko galat kar rhe ho.
I do not like this latch, but Slavia mein bhi I think same Latch aata hai. It enables auto door unlock in case of accidents.
Nexon and Altroz's diesel engines are very good. Punch's petrol engine+AMT is very nice. Maruti/Hyundai engine are good, but TATA is not crap.
Bina baat toxic rehna hai, fir to kuch hai hi nahi TATA me. Market me niklo, TATA ke purane 1405cc TDI engine dekh ke aao. 3 lakh kilometers tak chale hue milenge.

Child safety totally depends on proper car usage. I assume aap lagate hoge apni i20 me ISOFIX seats kyuki aapko points pata hain. Otherwise, bina seatbelt ke chalne wale desh me ISOFIX kitne log laga rhe hain. Aise case me main to solid car pe hi trust karunga.
People can surely buy other cars for features. Nobody is asking me and nobody can stop them. But I prefer TATA/Mahindra/VW/Skoda cars for everyone just because of safety.
I recommend TATA/Mahindra only because European cars are very expensive to maintain. Otherwise koi maintain kar sakta hai to best hai.
Features se leke service tak sab bahar se mil jata hai. Safety hi nahi milti. All the best bhai. ❣

I made some fair points (facts)
1. Stupid lock unlock latch
2. Worse engine/gearbox options compared to competitors
3. Lower child safety score.
And apart from these I didn’t mention anything else as the car is pretty great otherwise and even terms of features I didn’t make a point as I think for the price it offers pretty nice suit of features.
I think the only person here being “TOXIC” is you Sir, the way you came attacking on me.
It’s not about which car is better for whom as there are a hundred more points one can make regarding pros and cons of either vehicle.
It is a fact that people like you look down upon other people who chose any other car and that my good Sir is “TOXIC” behaviour.

Do you know TATA and Mahindra engines (1.5L Nexon and XUV300/2.2L Safari, Hexa and XUV500) were tuned by same company? These are literally very similar engines with some parts being same. AVL Austria tune engines for them. But social media has stamped TATA car with truck engines and claim Mahindra cars with same NVH to be refined. That's toxic. Yes you did not say it sounds like truck, but we will talk about engine bit in a moment.
Coming to previous comment-
1. I also agreed I did not like that latch.
3. I also nowhere said Altroz is better than i20 in features. Hyundai is the best company when it comes to overall feature execution.
Coming to 2.- you changed your statement. It went from 'worst' to 'worse'. I nowhere said in comment or in video that Altroz has best engine. All I said is it isn't outright bad. And that is another topic for discussion/video.
Funfact- do you know Altroz iTurbo is very close in performance with i20 Turbo? Despite big difference in numbers and weight.
I am not toxic to people who buy other cars. I love all cars. You have comments on other videos too, so I will not say you haven't watched my other videos, but i always praise the strengths of vehicle- be it engine, refinement, features, strength or value. Done the same in this video- strength and value. Watch some Hyundai or Maruti video. Strength is a concern for me, but never said "dont buy this" except for Celerio or S-Presso.
I love all cars and you, me and everyone can have an opinion. I only counter when I feel the base of the claim isn't very strong.
