日本語のみで聴いている方は一度英語字幕の方も合わせて聴くといいと思う I'm Japanese, but I found a huge gap between listening in Japanese and reading the English subtitles. It's interesting that the English subtitles are more explicit about transgender than the Japanese lyrics (Japanese listeners wouldn't notice until the last part of the MV. Actually, people in the 無色透明祭 comment section didn't mention anything about gender. Maybe they would guess from the last scene of the MV). For example, what is said in the translation of 2:21 differs greatly from the original text, or at least from its superficial expression. JP: hajimete deatta ki ga sinakatta ((I) didn't feel like (we were) meeting for the first time. / As usual, the pronouns "I" and "we" are dropped and they aren't present in Japanese lyrics.) I don't know if this translation is intentional or not, but there's a Japanese comment on this comment section that *speculates* on what's happening in MV in "考察" style, even though it's clearly written in the English subtitles. Anyway, if this translation reflects the true meaning of this line, we = you and I could be projected onto two genders (as in parallel or isomorphic relationships), like "I feel like I was born this gender" translating into "I don't feel like I (= represents assigned gender) met YOU (= appropriate gender) for the first time".
I wonder if the lyrics are difficult to translate literally because English doesn't have gendered first person pronouns. I can't help but feel the more subtle literal translation is more impactful than the localized translation that spells it out clearly.
すみません、日本語が下手です。 あいうちさんの歌を聴きました。 歌詞にとても感動しました。 聴きながら泣いてしまいました。 この歌を英語でカバーしてもいいですか? もしOKならカラオケ(inst. off vocal)はありますか? Sorry, my Japanese is not good. I came across your song on RUclips today. I felt really moved by the lyrics and cried while I was listening. Would it be okay if I cover this song in English? If it's okay, is there an instrumental version available?
This stuff is great, I love your songs! It's been so long since I last saw songs like these. It's not the first time I met your artworks, in fact I was following your comics since several years. It's a shame I discovered and listened to all these songs so late.
tbh im a little stupid could someone explain what happened? 😭 i can tell its sad but i dont quite understand exactly what happened… i get that it seems to be about a transgender girl committing suicide but what about the other person? did they shoot themself in the classroom when that happened or was it metephorical? sos im confused lol

i think its beautiful she lent her clothes to the other girl.
He.

The fact this only has like 1,000 views, as of now, is criminal. This is some quality shit.
0:33の花を生けてるビン、見覚えがあるなと思ったらあいうちさんのアイコンじゃん………
Your videos are so good because they're more than just songs, they're stories. They hold a lot of meaning
聴けば聴くほど苦しくなる、実際こういう事があった、という話を普通に聞いたことがあるので、珍しい話ではないのだろうなぁ… 少しでも当事者の方々が居心地良く過ごせるように祈るばかりです
The story is so heartbreaking, dammit. Genuinely made me cry when I finally understood it.
2:06 the fact that the flowers are in a milk bottle instead of a vase says so much
as a trans person this hits extremely hard. thank you for this song.
うまく言葉が選べないけど本当に本当にありがとうございます。救われるような気がしました。大好きです。
Even though I'm not trans, being bullied and shunned by students & adults is too relatable.
