Finally - someone pays decent homage to Clarkson/May/Hammond. Every other effort has been so cringingly awful. This was fun.
Even i think grand tour is cringy with even actual cast from old top gear, it's just feel like a student copying their friends homework and change it slightly so the teacher won't notice. This show is carrying those old tg spirit but have their own soul and appeal.

@@fritsmolenaar05 For sure I love MCM. They definitely have their entire own feel and style though. This nailed the "3 hosts with different approaches" feel of best Top Gear IMO. Like you could tell a lot of it was setup, but it still felt natural, and that's what matters. MCM is amazing though.

@@thelarry383 Hate is a strong work, the irritations creep in with familiarity. It takes time to ferment.
Amazing how engineers (especially exotics) to build a car around it’s most common faults making simple repairs multi hour operations.
This is becoming more and more common even on 'normal' cars unfortunately. They're chasing emissions instead of pure performance though. The result is basically the same though which is cram as much shit into as small a space as possible. Makes the car a better driver while it's working, but does nothing good for maintainability. Bonus points for more and more 'non-serviceable' components too which you can basically translate to "pay hundreds or thousands of dollars to replace an entire assembly isntead of the 15-30 dollar seal/bearing within in it that's actually defective".

Sort of, but EVs have the draw back of being able to fucking KILL YOU if you do something wrong. If the engine is off there's really very few ways to badly hurt yourself working on an ICE vehicle, but high voltage changes everything.

Shot and edited? Somebody had to salvage so much of this footage. The color grade is soooo agressive! I have to imagine the editor was salvaging terribly exposed shots.

I completely disagree. The Top Gear formula rip-off was a constant distraction throughout the episode, that I otherwise really enjoyed.
Problem is, we already knew the characters of these RUclipsrs over the years. I don't see why Freddie had to pretend like he knew nothing about cars. Why did he act as if he didn't know about the fuel neck problem on the Gallardo when his viewers most likely had known that he fixed the issue in his Gallardo by replacing it with a fuel neck from a Ford truck. All of them had already diagnosed and pre-inspected their cars before the trip, so why did they feel the need to act surprised? Too scripted for me and not a very good script either unfortunately.
Ed - Jeremy: The voice. He's owned, sold, and lived exotics for years. He has an insane amount of experience explaining the nuances that make a vehicle a driver's car. He can pull an simile out of his ass like the best of 'em.
Tavarish - James: The actual gear head. I think his garage knowledge on the next episode will be a perfect analogy to May's seemingly random spurts of airplane and mechanical facts.
Tyler - Richard: The wildcard. Has owned the worst so he can appreciate the best. He played by the rules and his secret genius has put him in hooptie after hooptie, only to land him in the best purchase... so far.
Excited to see where the series goes, gentlemen. Great job.

No one can EVER be the trio, they tried to do a US one and they suck, they redid it with new people in the UK and they suck... These guys have that kind of camaraderie but only a small amount. The Ape, Mr. Slow and The Hamster are legend AF

TBH i think the c8 is better. I think this because all of these cars are used ware as the c8 you are comparing them to is completely new and is not damaged and obviously has a clean record. Also, cars will break earlier because they are used. Lastly even after I looked on auto tempest I couldn't find these cars for anyway near these prices from in the video. No disrespect, I think this was a great video this is just my oppinion
