Apart from a few small things, I really like the game. It's not perfect, but it's not the worst game either. I really love the characters so I wish the game wasn't so judged💔
I played vanilla FF15 when it released and ended up hating the game by the time I beat it. The presentation of the story, the lack of a proper magic system, and lack of defensive capability were just major turnoffs. Oddly enough I enjoyed FF16 even though it has similar issues (minus the story which was great) I'm going to give this game another chance with the royal edition when I'm eventually done with FF7 Rebirth. I hate that this is the only Final Fantasy I didn't love!
I played this in English, but the Japanese VAs are so good! I love this game despite the hate it gets from the fandom. I mean, let's face it, most of the fandom hates every FF lol
Royal Edition massively changes Chapter 14. There is a new expanded final dungeon and 3 new quests. I did all of those. Also three new main story bosses before the final boss. Chapter 13 is easier, they buffed the ring. You can also play as Gladio for an easier route. There are supposedly new cutscenes, I didn't play the base game so I can't confirm that.

Was been hanging on this for hundred hours ... Everything is actually great (as in early 2016) the game play and stories were fine .Then you move from the first map, Things goes right down ,especially the playing part , I felt that the game making team didn't last their efforts...And which is more confusing me is they really had no plan of making a ffxv-2🙂 with that amazing sale-result on this garbage 🙂
@@sans5986 Definitely late to the party, but while the Japanese is delivered really well, the “typecasting” is way off for several important characters. Like, why does frail, old Cid have the voice of a BBEG (big bad evil guy)? It doesn’t help that half the setting is basically either the American Midwest or the Mediterranean, aka white. Racist much? It really lends itself to the thematic selections that only the European and English voice directors were able to make. Ignis, iconic as he is in English is one of the only sore thumbs sticking out from a regional dialect perspective.

I could laugh for days how y'all FFXV defenders praise an incompleted game with an empty dull boring environment world (the same company who made Forwoken), boring ass characters with no character development (looking at you lunafreya), atrocious gameplay just hold O/dodge and spam potion to win 99.8% you won't lose to the game. 3 canceled DLCs just to buy a book continuation after Ardyn's dlc because shitty ass game director Hajime Tabata left the shitty company (who made Forwoken I mention that shitty game again). I would rather play FFXIII trilogy over this unfinished incompleted game at least that game is complete.
