Birds look great love your channel. Have you ever done deep litter method? I am using it for 3 large pens in an unheated well insulated and ventilated building. I just add more shavings/hay for beds and the room is 8' x 8' in temps of -25C. Water freezes too quickly so my quail get fresh snow in dishes 2 times daily. Building is draft free. This is my first year trying quail like this. They seem to love it. The rest of my birds are in a low heat room indoors because I worry about eggs freezing. I have been incubating eggs constantly. It has been a warmer winter than usual. Next year I will put all the birds outside in a new aviary and see how that goes.

hello, we use the deep litter method with our ducks, and by spring we have great nutritious compost for our gardens. My quail like cleaner bedding in winter especially, and like to bury themselves, but will only do this in clean straw. We will add a little straw over the top for about a month, and then clean out and add to compost
