There is something special, entertaining, and informative when the two of you get together. I can’t believe you two haven’t done a mod/atomizer combo colab yet. Love catching you on the replay. Thanks for a great show.

Well I watched all on catchup, so there!
As you know, I love TC for the simplicity - adjust the airflow without messing with the mod settings at all, or adjust the temperature without fiddling with the airflow.
Type C on the DNA100C won't change the charge rate uness it incorporated USB 3.1 ad one of the two competing standards for fast charge, both of which use voltage conversion to get it through such tiny cables and contacts without increasing the current to levels they can't handle, and both ends (charger and device) have to negotiate the best balance of voltage and current to achieve the desired power, all of which then has to be turned into 4.2v for a Li-Ion cell. USB2.0 can do 2.4A but at a fixed (5v) voltage, which is 12w. I don't want any more than that to be chewing up my batteries, that you very much - they get hot enough for me just charging a pair in a DNA250C at 10w (2A x 5v). Type C is merely a connector standard, and means having either a converter on the micro-USB I already have plugged into my PC for upgrades, customisations, or monitoring, or using another of the limited number of USB ports available for another cable entirely. So having one on a single cell mod actually puts me off it, even though I could see some benefit on a 3 of 4 cell mod. But then I can still tell which way up to plug a USB cable in, and mostly only use 1A charge into it anyway, as I have a port on this PC which only delivers that, and still warms DNA75s and even my Odin dual 21700 DNA250C while charging as I fiddle with them. Of course, I only charge via USB while I am doing other stuff anyway - I have a good external charger and use it for all normal charging (at 1A per cell). I'm slowly changing over to Molicel for all my battery needs, as they actually support the use of their cells for vaping, although sadly don't make a 26650, so my VapeDroid has to use a different brand, made by goodness knows who but wrapped by Fogstar or Efest (which have proved reliable, while both Vapcell and Aspire have died on me, suddenly dropping to 0v from fully charged).
As for resistance, as long as it falls somewhere within the range that won't exceed the mods ability to deliver enough voltage or current to produce a satifying vape, who cares? Wetted surface area within the airflow is what matters for delivering vapour, so that is what I build for. I challenge anyone to distinguish, blind, the difference between a 0.2Ω build and a 0.5Ω build at the same power and similar wetted surface area in the same atomiser. But the half ohm build will need 2.5x the voltage of the 1/5th ohm build for that power, eve though it will only need 40% of the current. And it is a vape at a particular temperature that we are all looking for anyway. If you figure out how many watts are needed at a particular airflow to achieve that, fine. I leave it to the mod to work that out, as it will do it faster and more precisely than I can, and over a wide range of airflows. I have to say, the pre-heat on a single coil MTL at 300w on a Triade is as immediate as anything I've ever experienced, and works fine in direct lung as well, at the same temperature setting. Only Escribe tells me that the actual power used in each scenario is different (after the initial pre-heat spike).

I don’t know if I buy in to high end mods; definitely dropped my fair share of cash on APVs but all I look for is build material, if it looks streamlined, and if it is compatible with most of my prior vape hardware

Just like to ask is there a Facebook page for the cable tie .
well done about time somebody started to show older mods and tanks, and how they have been performing in real life and time. And the expensive stuff that people are fed up with going cheap.I’ll start looking 👍
