As a survivor of childhood trauma currently in therapy, I can attest, Markle does not talk or act with authenticity on what it feels like to be truly traumatized and suicidal. If anything, she is a perpetrator, not a victim. She does not give off “safe person” vibes. I find her to be extremely triggering. On the other hand, Catherine, Princess of Wales, is a lovely soul who has clearly been through a lot and consistently shows true empathy for others who are suffering. “By their fruits ye shall know them.”
I can't believe Megain was never actively suicidal. We really need to talk about PASSIVE Suicidality vs. ACTIVE suicidality. PASSIVE suicidality is a VERY common symptom of depression, and it's a feeling of just not wanting to live, a feeling of wanting to disappear, a massive loss of motivation, and loss of self worth, BUT there is no active plan, no active thinking of means, or no active intent. Because this feeling is actually very common for bullied and depressed people, these two are doing far more harm than good for mental health. ACTIVE Suicidality is far more serious and involves a clear intent, plan/means, and motivation to carry out the plan. What Harry is talking about is that some kids do get impulsive and can't think through their pain or actions. That is scary, but they are just confusing and worsening an important dialogue. I'm an NP with lots of training, they need to get some!

Exactly, I agree completely. As a survivor of childhood trauma currently in therapy, I can attest, Markle does not talk or act with authenticity on what it feels like to be truly traumatized and suicidal. If anything, she is a perpetrator, not a victim. She does not give off “safe person” vibes. I find her to be extremely triggering. On the other hand, Catherine, Princess of Wales, is a lovely soul who has clearly been through a lot and consistently shows true empathy for others who are suffering. “By their fruits ye shall know them.”

I can't believe Megain was never actively suicidal. We really need to talk about PASSIVE Suicidality vs. ACTIVE suicidality. PASSIVE suicidality is a VERY common symptom of depression, and it's a feeling of just not wanting to live, a feeling of wanting to disappear, a massive loss of motivation, and loss of self worth, BUT there is no active plan, no active thinking of means, or no active intent. Because this feeling is actually very common for bullied and depressed people, these two are doing far more harm than good for mental health. ACTIVE Suicidality is far more serious and involves a clear intent, plan/means, and motivation to carry out the plan. What Harry is talking about is that some kids do get impulsive and can't think through their pain or actions. That is scary, but they are just confusing and worsening an important dialogue. I'm an NP with lots of training, they need to get some!
