Changing types probably gives legendary spammers headache because they now have to think too much
2 + 2 gives legendary spammer a headache so it’s not saying much lol
If they were spamming legendaries they probably weren't thinking too much in the first place
@@MrDannyKicks What you said
Get this man a bucket of water , his burns are getting too hot to handle
Thought honestly , being a legendary spammer isn’t the problem , it’s the individual’s attitude. I have a spammer team I use to see how people react, and most of the time , if u don’t say anything salty or toxic they won’t say anything , or they will have friendly exchanges with u . However there is a chance of meeting people who get aggressive if they see a spammer team . And start being a little toxic , but these situations can also get diffused so long as u remain calm and polite . So really the spammers tempt meets are the ones on the lower , worst end of the spectrum
The people that proposed and green-lit Electric-type Shedinja are the greatest trolls in Pokemon history
What Terristalization does to a mf
You see, Shedinja isn't in the latest Pokémon games for exactly that reason.
@@chris.92 mmm, though there are some counters. My AG Nat Dex team specifically has a mold breaker Mon
I also figured out having a ground type on your team and someone with Fling helps out. Pops the air balloon when they switch him in and then he’s vulnerable

Imagine if Population Bomb was around when multi-hit moves had the mechanics from Gen 1, where if one of them was a crit, all the ones after it would _also_ be crits.

@@Greggorto kids named rocky helmet, iron barbs, rough skin, and literally any ghost type:
@@thepurified8386 i mean yeah, but doesn't safety goggles negate that? you could also use shell bell to partially get that off
@@Greggorto using anything except wide lens neuters the attack and makes it very rarely hit 10 times, and even with shell bell you only heal after the attack ends and thusly die to rocky helmet/iron barbs/rough skin/a combination of rocky helmet and one of the abilities. protective pads shield you from this death but you're giving up a lot of your accuracy for it and that usually isn't viable because you just get killed in retaliation. even if you crit on all 10 hits you'd still instadie to corviknight and garchomp before actually managing to kill them.
Yes. Pikachu beating John Cena at the end is also part of the Gen 9 Pokemon Showdown in a Nutshell.

"Terastallize is OP, Leave it to a noob like you to abuse it"
also this guy: terastallizes lugia
Not only that, he teratalized to psychic type, which doesn't save him from ghost type or dark type attacks
If you're gonna Tera something, 9 times out of 10 it should be to check your weaknesses; for example, terastalizing an Aggron to Fairy to resist a fighting move, or Flying to ignore Ground
In That Case That Lugia Should Have Changed to A fight type to Resist the night Slashes
@@jimmystevenson1680 Not like they pick the Tera Type in-game. Probably went Psychic to take less from Thunder(Bolt) and Ice Beams, while still keeping Psychic STAB
@@ronaldcarlson198 you keep the original STAB regardless of tera type. A fighting lugia still has 1.5x psychic or flying moves. If you tera into psychic or flying, however, it functions like adaptability, boosting moves of those types by 2x
Man I love this gen, it feels like any Pokemon can sweep you, you have to constantly be on your toes
My favorite example of this is glimmora because it's either gonna set up on you or just kill you
@@robinbaduce9903 either that or literally die instantly, I love the fact that every single pokemon, no matter how weak it is, is dangerous if left unchecked in this gen. Mausehold has almost no defences or HP, if set up mindlessly it will instantly die, but get it in as the opponent doesn't expect it and you're just winning
My thoughts exactly
I think its kinda ass and only one playstyle is seeing playing
This gen killed so many playstyles
0:41 Ah, remember when Dyna/Gigantamax was the most OP thing ever created? Seems so long ago now.
Max airstream was the number one Dynamax move
Smogon then banned Dynamaxing after it broke the gen 8 meta
do you know the name of the song that plays during that timestamp?
@@Spo0kl ''Supporting me'' from Sonic adventure 2, I think.
Gen 7, everybody knew that Mega Rayquaza was the most broken thing ever. Gen 8, everybody *knew* that Dynamax and Gigantamax were the most broken thing ever. And now everybody knows it's Terastalizing that's the most broken thing ever. Hah... Imagine what you'll *know* is "broken"...tomorrow.
Whoever looked at Last Respects and said "Ya, this seems like a fair move" needs to to be fired.
Can we talk about the hilarious irony of Tyranitar being the one to die to stealth rock upon switching into Shedinja instead of being the other way around?
A garchomp would threaten the shednija
I have a feeling gen 9 has already been so chaotic
Not with all the ban happy OU council
in a fun creative way that boring people get ticked off on. the more toxic they are the more hilarious it is when this guy wins
The amount of salt collected when this launched it immeasurable.

The only time I lost with Air Balloon Shedinja was when someone Stealth Rocked into whirlwind.
Terastalizing feels so much better than dynamaxing. I've been having so much more fun doing early day comp this gen then I did last gen. Seeing legend spammers scream about new stuff is amazing. Thanks for the video, can't wait to see more new strats.
The only downside to terastalizing is in raid battles it eats time when transforming the pokemon.

What da dog doin-
I just cannot fathom how someone using 3 Koraidons and 3 Miraidons could possibly call anyone else a Noob
The first bit with Maushold, that poor Glimmora absolutely shell shocked by a family of mice and as it gets hit by 10 Blackflashes in Row. And as their trainer calls out the counter move, the pain just hits it again and it flinches in response to all the pain receptors firing off.
3:27 when that shedinja used sunny day to not die by the sandstorm, i died of laughter

I got a strat for you. In a s/v doubles, start with a ring target Annihilape and a trick room user of your choice. Protect with Annihilape and trick room. then bring in a level one sashed Tandemaus and population bomb Annihilape. Repeat this if you want. But this gives Annihilape at least 500 rage fist power.
Edit: @The Bear said mentioned that Rage Fist caps at 350, so instead of Tanemaus you should run someone like Toxapex pin missile Annihilape. Also you can put metronome on Annihilape for more damage.

@@rileychan5380 as long as it has sunny day it doesn't matter how many swaps you do
You could just bring a Pokemon with Sandstorm to fight the Shedinja. As long as they don't predict you and use Sunny Day, you got it beat.
@@aaronwhite1882 you could predict the sandstorm switch
@@themyth3686 Not a Pokemon with the ability Sandstream, but a Pokemon with the move Sandstorm. Even if they predicted you, at the very least you could get the opponent to use up Sunny Day if they wanted to keep Shedinja alive, then just have a second Pokemon with Sandstorm (obviously this is a subpar tactic). Or you could have a slower Pokemon use Sandstorm before Shedinja powers up.

I'm happy temp6t found the Sonic Adventure 2 Battle OST
Last Respects is such an insane move on paper. 250 BP on the last mon in a 6-man team, BEFORE you add in STAB and stats. Not to mention Maushold's unique move that is just a 10-hit accuracy check and wide lens makes it a near guaranteed 10 hit move. This is gonna be one of those gens competitive battlers look back on and want to shoot themselves over. Too bad the latter has pretty average BSP and the former is so easy to exploit against even with Terrastallize
It’s 300 BP when it’s last. It starts with 50 and then adds 50 per fainted mon. Official competitive formats don’t have 6 mons so it’s fine there

Counterattack is so good!! Forgot I was watching a Pokémon vid lol
Welcome to gen 9 comp, folks. Where things are very strong
this shows how op scarlet and violet pokemon really are
In a nutshell, there's an absurd amount of broken things in gen 9 for Pokémon new and old, and it couldn't be more fun.
I was never deep into competitive Pokemon, but this channel is making me gradually realize that nothing is completely invincible. Electric Shedinja with ground immunity still loses to status effects/environment, Death Doggo's GHOST oneshot wouldn't affect a Normal, and Mega Diancie would be far less dangerous if people didn't throw hazards directly into its Ability. Most of these strats are still pretty evil, though.
Can you try Espathra with mirror herb? Mirror herb basically does the same as Espathra’s passive (opportunist), but only for one turn.
I fully admit to being salty the first time I encountered electric shedinja, but once I put tyranitar in my team, I was having fun. I’m honestly sad that the site’s made gen9 AG challenge only. Dynamaxing in gen8 feels so dull now. What do you think? Are you hoping they’ll bring it back?
Ngl I have been watching your channel for a long time now, and I honestly want to say you are probably one of the reason I started playing my first pokemon game lol. Kinda sad that the game is somewhat of a glitching mess, but at least help me strategizing ways to possibly beat you in future if we ever meet online. But who knows only time will tell.

Sunny day electric type shedinja is one of the biggest trollings in pokemon showdown history
veluza john cena-ing out of nowhere at 1:10 with the "RUH ROH RAGGY" clip will never not be funny
Love how people complained about how OP megas are, how Z moves are so broken, how dynamax was OP, now Tera, which is probably the weakest of them, just has a few outliers, is the most broken. It follows pretty much the same rules as mega, just can be gone at low HP
Dynamax was a little boring. And some megas WERE broken.
Z moves and this tera stuff seems pretty tame though.

Hey, Tempt, I don't know how well known this is, but I recently found that with teratype you can spam moves like Burn Up and Double Shock. I don't know if you lose your base type when doing so, but the teratype stays, so you can spam those busted stab moves. Maybe you can try and show a salty noob being rekt by that.
