The Island of Crete has many historical structures ( untouched by WW2) -Italian influenced architecture still remains, also some of the finest olive oils in the world is made here! We stayed in an early century hotel on an old cobble stone road overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. I love Greece, my own grandfather came from Rhodes.
