    • @TheLGSweet
      @TheLGSweet 5 лет назад +16

      Agreed...I think people need to stop making the comparison btwn the two. Nipsey was able to put in action what Pac spoke about. Pac had more notoriety because he was in the news, movies etc....

      @Arielle Edwards He actually signed with Suge because he bailed him out of prison. It wasn't necessarily his first choice, but nobody is going to put up 1.4 million dollars and not try and recoup with interest. As far as everything else you said, who really knows. Life is crazy and doesn't always go the way that we expect it to go.

      Arielle Edwards Being they both were caring people and about people. They had these values,but at the same time they had a lot of envious people and perhaps the same people they would have never thought envied them as well. They were around negative energy. Which can be dangerous. People like Pac and Nipsey new a lot and there were people that figured they would expose a lot more things. And knowing how great they would become ,people didn’t want that. Now they were both intelligent. And cared about the people. But they can’t really be compared like they were just a like. Cause that’s what the media and others are doing. Both were on missions,but on their own missions.

    I am always surprised by DL Hughley-he’s a real human being.
    And incredibly insightful & PRAGMATIC. I grew up in Woodlawn in Chicago from 1960-1968 during the time of the Blackstone Rangers and the Disciples. We moved there from Alabama when I was 8. I know what he’s talking about when he says that some of us focus on making money (& the violence associated with that for Black People) and some of us choose to try to be a humanitarian.
    The times changed quickly and in midstream. And, instead of our society rewarding doing good deeds we began to reward making money. Nobody really wants to look at the cost to our society and to whole groups of Americans- white and Black.

      Tupac was one of the first to go to LA and join bloods and crips together before he was even 27. He died at 26. He gave millions of dollars away to families not charities because he always said charities didn't give the money to the ghetto. Both are known facts. Tupac is never given the credit he deserved. He was very much so an activist as well. If he lived longer he definitely would've done even more.

    As far as the getaway driver girl not being charged, there’s a difference between saying it’s believable that she didn’t know what he was going to do and saying it’s believable that she was able to PROVE she didn’t know to the point that she wasn’t charged.
    Getaway drivers are always considered part of the crime. If they suspected she was in on it in any way, what type of evidence could she possibly provide to say she had no prior knowledge? Just seems off to me.

    You may think where you lived was the chit'lin's of real estate. But I bet some developer has been eyeing it for decades, who sees it as the filet mignon of real estate...a diamond in the rough. We'd better start recognizing the value of things while we have it.

      I don't think he meant it as a put down. I think his point was "we" could only live where they designated us to live and because we were there it made it chitlins until they want it and push us out with gentrification.

    • @FromUR2UB
      @FromUR2UB 5 лет назад +1

      @@sonyasq22 Yes, I believe he said he felt very comfortable there, so l understood he didn't mean it as a putdown. My point is that often things are undervalued, sometimes even discarded, and then someone comes along and swoops it up. I was thinking of the Hunters Point housing projects in San Francisco when I wrote that. It had a view of the San Francisco bay. My older siblings had lived there as children, so my brother forwarded an article to all of us a few years ago about some developer who had bought it. He mentioned that whites had been trying to get that property since they were children, and now they finally had it. I was also thinking of traditional R&B music, because for a while, current black artists weren't interested in creating it. It looked like it was going to evolve into something associated with whites and other non-blacks.

    • @sonyasq22
      @sonyasq22 5 лет назад +3

      @@FromUR2UB True!!! Its so sad with the music because I want us to get back to positive music! On another note we open the doors because we want acceptance from a certain group and then its taken and becomes theirs and we get none of the credit. And that's not just with music either.
