I disagree. As a gen x myself, I loved the 2002 he-man reboot, I loved the thundercats 2011 reboot and I am actually loving the skybound's transformer/G.I.joe reboot. You can make amazing content with these properties but you have to treat them with respect

the last movie I seen with 6 writers was Captain America Brave New World.
The sixth writer of that movie actually came in after the movie had initially wrapped up filming, and he rewrote the script and whole parts were cut like Isaiah Bradley helping Sam and Torres retrieve the Vibranium, WWE Seth Rollins whole part, Sabra being a Mutant, and President Ross dying, and they added in Giancarlo Esposito's character six months later and reshot The Leader's scenes.
But this might just be a different scenario than that.
People, you should know that nowadays adaptations generally fall into two categories: those that stay true to the original and are loved, or those that deviate from the original, make absurd decisions, and become useless, hated by the audience and critics.
Remember those HE-MAN toys back in the day, where it had a spinny bit in the chest, and it would show battle damage? Those things were great 👍

The best this movie will be is passably mid like the Power Rangers movie from a few years back. I hate the race swapping too, especially of real historical figures. I'd rather hear authentic stories from different cultures. If James Bond had originally been written as a code name taken on by the highest ranked spy then I wouldn't mind. I loved Idris in Luther, but a spy agency reusing a code name over and over would not work. Maybe if James Bond was the most common name in the UK but even then, any other spy would wonder after hearing the name again.

After watching the trailer, it looks to me like the majority of the movie after the first act is set in Eternia, certainly all of the action seems to take place in Eternia, plus he's always had a connection to earth through his mother.

The only thing I'm looking forward to He-Man is that new beat em up video game.
While they did make Man-At-Arms a black man along with more than the average portion of "girl boss power" I will remain cautiously hopeful that this wont be another Tardfeet Lobotomy.
