This is the most realistic turkey hunting series in production today. The drive to hunt that hard for that long is remarkable - and speaks to the crazy way a gobbling turkey can motivate a person. As difficult as hunting your way can be, I question whether or not you would even hunt turkeys if it was all decoys and popup blinds.? Just not the same experience.
I agree! His videos make you feel like you’re there. Hollywood turkeys come running and gobbling in pretty manicured pastures! I know the ones I hunt are paranoid and don’t like to really cooperate! When you finally see em you shoot because they’re in your face or they’re already leaving 🦃👍
I watch all your turkey hunts. I love that you show it in all the real life of turkey hunting and show how hard it is too kill turkeys and all the miles on the feet it takes
Good stuff Dave. I’ve learned a lot from you when you narrate why you’re doing what you do. Thanks for taking us a long. I look forward to each one. And congratulations on a fine bird.
Great series, some people really need to pay attention to what you did when you spotted that truck after hearing a gobbler. True turkey hunter , keep hunting hard.
I’ve hunted the same birds on this video for the last fifteen years, and this video explains why! They’re hardheaded but very satisfying when you can finally put hands on one!
Awesome footage and documentation of the hunt. I was sitting here laughing when you said you'd jump off the cliff if the turkey ended up where you were after moving. haha I think we've all been there before when that happens. great work making the right moves and getting close to him. fine bird! People don't know what they are missing out on in the turkey woods!
Gotta be in their bubble that's for sure. No doubt, lots of guys heard that bird from the other side of that canyon. They started to him, hit that high wall of rocks, called to him, waited a bit and when he never showed, they left. You put forth more effort, got tight, said the magic turkey words almost in sight, and shut up and let him walk into your 20 ga. Awesome content. I can't get enough.
Another great turkey hunt in the hardwoods of the south east. This style of hunting can't be beat. I've said it before but I'd rather kill one eastern in the timber than 10 from a field or from a blind and I do all three. But, there's something special to me about mature gobbler killing in oak timber. Thanks for another authentic hunt !!
Dave, great hunt. They are all earned one way or another. Man, reminds me of myself, the way ya hunt. We are brothers from another mother. I really appreciate the way you honor other hunters who are in or on a spot before you. That's the way it should be and how I grew up hunting. These slob hunters who don't respect others ruin the sport in this respect. Man, I don't want someone knowingly coming in on me. People, respect others and go to plan B. Dave, where is chubbs??? got me wondering. Seems yall hunted a little more together at this point last season.
Awsome effort to kill bird. Ur coolness after u kill bird. U don't brag and jump up and down like a idiot. Respect for the animal. Thumbs u for all ur hunts.

Nothing scarier than crossing a slippery creek in the dark at the beginning of a hunt. If you bust your butt you start out wet. Great hunt.
