Hi ! Yes, with that board can chill all day in off shore 🤙. Only thing, that i change there is baseplate. Original composite track was a weak and lock is failed. Now i have there Unifiber Power Joint. (Safety first ! 🤟)
Hello, I have a similar board stored in my garage, with the fins and original bowline. The board has been stopped for a long time because today I'm sailing with a formula board and 9.8 sail. I found your video very interesting, you can't imagine seeing it possible to sail with this board and such a big sail. My question is related to the keel, which measure are you using or are you using the original small keel with the bowline?
Hi ! This board is really good all-round board, for long offshore cruising trip. Suitable for almost any type of sails. Normally i use there Neil Pryde V6 8.5 sail, but 10.0 can use wihout problem too. I have one formula and one slalom sail, both is 10.0 sq. In strong wind is no difference, but in light wind is slalom sail better, because boom can set lower than in formula sail (i ride with seat harness). I buyed this board without a fin and dagger. The mast track was also needed to repair. The original dagger is "Allgaier System O 62cm Dagger". The new dagger can buy in Exocet net shop and the price is 89€. The fin i use in this board is "Australian Custom Fins Company 330 mm." fin. Because board have a dagger, there no needed a bigger fin.
Sorry, just one more thing. I'm finding my board with a very high weight, could there be water inside and is there a way to get it out? What is your weight?
Hi again ! Yes, this is a pretty heavy board, but it have a 192 L vol. too. Mine board is some 18-19 kg. This is a foam filled board, so if a water come inside, it's not easy to get it out. If you not sure, is there any water inside, it 's possible to use a vacuum pump and bag. Put a board inside and leave it in suck an hour. If then you see a moisture in bag, then there is a water iside. If not, then board is just heavy, but tight. 🤟
@@windsurfingfun4058 Thank you very much for the information, my Hyfly 330 board is all original, both the keel and the bowline (the keel that goes in the center). Even though it has a lot of volume, I think it's a very unstable board, the other day I tried to use it as a SUP (stand up paddling board) and it's extremely difficult due to the distribution of the greater volume being in the front part and it's considered a board narrow like the old ones, completely different from current boards. The Hifly 330 doesn't stop being a fun board for that, I just don't think I'll be able to glide as easily as on my formula board, but the fun is worth it. Many thanks for your information.
Hi ! Yes, for SUP this board is not intended, but for windsurfing is good board for cruising and fun. The width in this board is 65 cm, so if compare to Formula board it's very narrow, however the 330 cm length is made it pretty comfortly to ride in choppy condition. It can reach easy to 40 km/h, but it needs a bit overpowered sail, because it's heavy board 🤙
@@windsurfingfun4058 I thought my hifly was 330 but it's 310fx. I weighed it and it weighs 13.5 kg, within the original weight of the board. Could you use a 9.9 candle on this 310? won't it be too big a sail because it's a little smaller? I don't even know how many liters it has.
Hi ! Sorry for delay of answer. No, it's no problem, if use a 9.9 or bigger size. Just set your mast track to forward. I had experimenting some funny things, like a small board and big sail and opposite and same with different fin and settings, to see if it work or not. I have a 11 different sails, so plenty of options to try. My favorite board is still Fanatic Lite Viper 343 cm Fun/Race long board and this one is really accept any sail. Same thing is with HiFly 330 cm board.
I Love this board, used to have one, so stable
Yes, it's really good all-round board. I have this as backup board, but sometimes i take this to ride or loan it to friends.
I had the 265 FX for many years as my unique board. indestructible and very efficient/comfortable
