It shouldn’t be “vote for which mob comes out” it should be “which mob comes out first”
I think it should be like this: the most voted one gets added with the update, the second most voted gets added 1 or 2 updates later and the 3rd one either doesn't get added or it gets added, but far later

Yeah and that was the original idea but they kinda just swept it under the rug
If you are really gonna have a mob vote, at the very least let us see how many people voted for each mob.
EDIT: I know they are out now, and there is no way that this proportion of players voted for the armadillo, I will certainly be boycotting the vote next year.

If the Mob Vote is gonna stay, Mojang should at least add 2 of the 3 mobs that are showcased, having the community vote for the mob they DON'T want in the game. This not only satisfies the majority of the player base, but also allows mojang to spend more time on developing the next update instead of waiting for community results.

Or they can just add all 3 and save EVEN MORE time.

I think they should go back to the design pillars like in MC live 2020, but with showing features that are far in development, like bundles finally in survival, new functionality to the fletching table, fireflies and badlands biome upgrade.. it can probably be a great update!

Please cycle through old, rejected mobs in future mob votes. Maybe have one mob in each vote be one that didn't get chosen in a previous vote?

Yo mojang, I’ve got an idea for the next update. Just add all the old mobs from the other mob votes, and call it the mob update.
I like that idea! A whole update dedicated to the lost mobs.
Maybe it can also update some of the mobs that were already added to the game as they had won their respective votes.

In 2011 the minecraft pocket edition he has a 4 inventory and now the minecraft pocket edition in 2024 he has a 10 in inventory.

Don't count biomes, since according to mojang all outvoted biomes will *eventually* get added in the future like with mangrove and mountain biomes got added in actual updates, so maybe badlands, deserts and other biomes will get added in future updates...ermm *hopefully*.

I would love to have more basic mobs that added more life to Minecraft like birds and butterflies which maybe could have a cool feature or more variety of ocean life. I also feel like the mesa biome needs to become more of a biome with its own unique animal or mob and maybe some kind of unique plant.

For anyone wondering: many people felt that the event was shorter, that's because they announced only 20% of the update and there wasn't Minecraft Dungeons (stopped updating some weeks ago)
Im kinda sad they stopped updating dungeons, it had so much potential but they msde the dlc's repetitive and not really add more content than stuff to punch
Hope it's s really big update with a lot more stuff than this but they sure have added nice stuff, but I still wish for an end update
It was shorter by 1 hour comparing to previous one which was announcing only a part of the update too.
I wish it was only 20%, knowing mojang tho they definitely showed us the bulk of the update

The crafter is actually an INSANE addition. I don't think we realize how monumental this change will be to the redstone community.
Im *so* shocked on how little they limited it. I was not expecting us to be able to force the item into specific locations at all. This is much more then pretty much any redstoner expected to get from something, mojang steered clear for so long. Im pumped!

This is becoming less of an actual live event. Don’t know how much of this wasn’t prerecorded. I’ve been playing Minecraft for over a decade, and have loved seeing all the updates over the years, but Minecraft live was always a place to celebrate the new year of Minecraft, and it seems like it has just become an advertisement space for lots of new projects, instead of focussing on just the game and some of the main things the community has been asking for (inventory expansion and fulfilling promises of old mobs and biomes coming to the game from the old votes)

There wasn't a moment in the event that seemed live and not prerecorded, from halfway in when the arrows on Lady Agnes disappear when the camera cuts, to Lidia at the end not actually mentioning who won the vote and just saying "I'm so happy that *little critter* will make it into the game" which couldve been said about any of the mobs.

@@Magdalena6 Like they could've had the player guide the copper golem to buttons that either activated traps or opened a door to progress through the dungen. hopefully they just slide in the CG into the update as a surprise but knowing how lazy they became it's just a dream.

I’m pretty sure they want to find the best time to add these mobs that relates to an update they are doing, but at the same time they also want to introduce new mobs such as the warden or breeze. That mob apart of the update including the mob vote winner is 2 mobs already. Adding a 3rd to the mix would be extremely hard to do, so truly all we should do is just be thankful for even getting mobs in the first place.

Does anybody know why I got a random cave sound ( probably disc 13 ) when I have literally turned off my ambience/environment to 0? After I got the cave sound, I checked my seetings and I was right that my ambience/environment is turned off. I immediately quitted after I have checked my settings because I was horrified and creeped out 😢. Please answer this question, it could help alot 😊.

I hope, in the future, there's an End update. I'd love to have more to do there.
Aaand you just made me realize: Why on earth is this "new combat challenge" not set in the End? Would be a really nice bit of extra post-game content if balanced and designed accordingly.
There's more to come that very well might include the end. Most of the reason for going there is adventure. Don't count it out when we've only gotten the first hint of the next update.
I think that will be a future update almost certainly. Probably still in the idea phase though because it would be probably have to be one of the biggest updates ever. Even matching the nether update to the End would make it a big one but the End needs more love. exciting
@@VoltisArt Oh you know very well that's not true. In order for an end update to please the community, it would have to have the level of ambition and vision that both the Nether and the Caves and Cliffs update had and that's just not possible with this half baked approach of developing whatever features they feel like, then coming up with some name later on and calling it a day.
Hoping for one myself, but: According to several polls done in the past only a small fraction of players ever goes to the End - so it might be deemed "not worth it"..

The main thing that bothers me with this years mob vote is that they are all real animals, this means a real animal may not get into Minecraft (although a similar thing happened with the biome vote). Before the mobs were made up mobs and a way for Mojang to see which idea the community liked the best.

idk why you're bringing up the biome vote, since those things they said in them are still coming, we just don't know when, and plus, they literally said in this mc live that they might add the losers of this mob vote specifically into the game
Vu said that the other mobs can come in Minecraft in future (exemple : the frog. The swamps lost the biome vote but came into Minecraft few years leater)

The only mobs that i’ve really wanted out of all the mob votes is the Moobloom and Armadillo. Sadly the votes got rigged by a certain someone by accident for the moobloom but he probably still woulda lost to the iceologer. Which was cool too.
@@BB-9EZArmadillo does nothing. Dog armor is such a waste... its not going to make your dog any less vulnerable to falling off a cliff and dying.
@@An.Unsought.Thought Not unless you can enchant it with feather falling, or it get's its own unique enchants, kinda wish they'd let you do so for Hort Armor. And considering it's a combat update maybe that's what we'll get, maybe we just need to be vocal about what we need out of Dog Armor to make it useful. Personally I kinda like the idea that the dog curls up the armor like an armadillo when it's in free fall and lets the armor take the fall damage.
@@An.Unsought.ThoughtNot true pvp uses wolves quite often so dog armor can enhance pvp and make wolf armies a more common strategy.
Wolves are also useful for pve with the biggest downside to wolves being their slower then the player sprinting.

There has to be a mob update. Including the old mobs from past votes that didn’t make the cut.
Thoughts on the torch flower. What if it was a light source and could be bound to arrows? That way when adventuring you could shoot torchflower arrows to light up far away areas. Shooting one would plant a torchflower. It could be planted on walls therefore via the arrows.

Why did this Minecraft live feel like less info or shorter then last years?
Because as with the rest of Minecraft, it's reaching stagnation due to Mojang tweeting more about merch or plushies in the office than actually adding to the game anymore. If they didn't have Microsoft's backing, they probably wouldn't even exist as a company anymore. They'd fail and fade away despite how successful Minecraft was years ago.

I agree with the comment above me, idk what's up with the first reply but they already informed us last Minecraft live that they're only gonna tell us about the features and plans that they're sure to put in or are already in the more or less final stages of development. They don't want to repeat the mistakes they had with the splitting of the caves and cliffs update as well as the wild update.
They don't want to make huge promises and subject themselves to work that's more than what they hoped for. They're being careful.
Cause they either don't have the info needed (laziness) or they are just trying to build suspense

Imo, the mob vote should be replaced with the biome chooser. All of the mobs get added, and one of the biomes get updated. They don’t say what happens when a biome gets updated, so we don’t necessarily lose anything from the other biomes. Could be a cool way to make sure were getting stuff, because right now we’re losing way too much.
I'm pretty sure people would just complain about the others biome as they are complaining about the other mobs not being added.

The older shows felt like actual shows,building up the hype and excitement for the update announcement. This one does not do that.

how so? just because it is copper doesnt mean it fits, copper golem is redstone based while the trial chambers are combat based.
you know right this update is add new redstone mechanical it not only combat it for redstone too

@@forrest6939 Not necessarily IN the trial chambers but they definitely fit the update. Not only are Mojang expanding the copper family, they're also adding copper-based redstone devices (doors, trapdoors etc). This update wants to focus heavily on "tinkering", so the copper golem would make sense with this theme

before this minecon live no there were no plans to add losing mobs but with the line abt the frogs (which were in a biome vote which had the safety net for losers at the beginning) its a maybe on losing mobs being added and it probably wont happen for awhile

They aren't going to add all of them no matter how much you ask. That defeats the purpose of the vote.
But Mojang is a small indie company with only a handful of developers and very little funding. We're lucky we get nay updates at all.

Times like these are where the copper golem would have been ABSOLUTELY PERFECT FOR THIS UPDATE. Like, imagine you are fighting an enemy, with a copper golem being right by your side. MOJANG! WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?
It actually would have been hilarious if the copper golem was a prankster style enemy type in here and you could somehow either rebuild it as an ally after destroying a couple or just lead it out of the trial chambers to fullfill its original purpose of randomly pressing buttons.
Maybe if we ask politely (and beg because this would be so awesome) they will add it, after all our little frog friends didn’t win the vote either but they still managed to hop their way into the game.

It's sad but I'm happy the Armadillo won. The Savannah needs more mobs in it. And Dogs will now look cooler. And be way more protected while fighting mobs. Common sense prevailed this time.

Not at all, people were asking for dog armours for a long time; the only reason crab would be useful is if it simplified placing blocks downward.

I miss the old Minecraft livestreams. But specifically the format of announcing features in the update. Getting the interesting features last (like the mace, wind charges, and cherry grove) basically just makes Minecraft live less important to me. And the fewer features they have is more promoting stuff that no one cares about (marketplace, obviously). To fix the problem of not introducing promised features into the game, they could make SOME features come out progressively instead of just releasing all of them in one big package, This is a way which would help keep the community active and entertained to allow delays of the update without much recoil of the community. The current format just makes Minecraft Live more hated and leaves players with nothing to do for long periods of time. The other bad part is the mob vote but that's already had enough attention from the community. But the new method of showcasing features now is something that doesn't have enough attention yet, so I hope more people talk about it.

Minus the mob vote controversy, the actual features that are being added in the update seem fun! I mean auto crafting is going to give a whole new host of redstone contraptions for people to build and the trial chambers seem like fun, could be interesting to attempt to capture the breezers (which I like to think of as a new kind of blaze) and add them to your own little gauntlets, plus the challenges seem fun on their own as they actually may give more use for things like maxed out netherite armor if you're fighting in rooms full of traps, strays, and other things.
Yeah. besides the mob vote, I like these new features that are going to be in the game
autocrafting is gonna make some interesting videos ngl but the most useful thing you can craft indefinitely are food and torches, but you are way faster crafting torches and the smoker is way faster making proper foods (like steak)
