We need to give LaPorta the most credit for this play for that unbelievable catch. He literally plucked that ball out of the air with his finger nails.
Growing up in the big city, and not having a park nearby, us neighborhood kids, teens, would play any sports you could think of in the streets. This play looks like something us kids would have thought up to fool the other team.... it's all about having fun lol
The worst thing about that play is that there’s really no way that you can do it again, teams aren’t going to fall for it again, but was indeed the greatest trick play I’ve ever seen
Derrick, seriously brother you broke this down better than any other video I've watched! And it's not because I'm one of your moderators or friends of yours. You nailed it! No joke Grid you need to be a professional commentator. 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻💯
I'm no Lions fan (Bucs since the 70s), but this play is worthy of old school NFL Films treatment and narration from John Facenda. Dan Campbell is a mad genius and I love the entertainment level he brings.
As someone who has studied and practiced magic over the years this was fantastic sleight of hand here boy. The tuck was an incredible sell and got just the right amount of draw from it. Ben Johnson is a god cooking up David Copperfield level illusions right now.
@@Saxman72241 We're quite aware of that but the fact that Goff stumbled against Greenbay lulled the Bears into believing that "Clumsy" Goff might've tripped AGAIN! You get it now!? Go Lions!
What set this play up was Goff's stumble at the end of the game against the Packers. People have seen Goff stumble. Only wish they'd saved it for a really critical moment, like the next Superbowl.
thats who the bears have been all year long. it only works because the defener dose"t do he"s job and go with the guy the gets the TD. like they only lose the other game because the defender is busy talking to the fans on the hail mary. so yes we have seen this before.
The Lions should've saved that play against a team that mattered instead of against the BAD NEWS BEARS. But i loved it and Goff really sold it. He had me fooled.
I was thinking the same thing but here's the brilliance: If Goff really does stumble in a "game that matters" the other team is going to freeze because they remembered this play. It's like a win-win. Who the hell thinks of this stuff? Yes, give Ben Johnson the bag please!
I know you are excited about this play. But you said not a single defender within 5 yards of LaPorta. Then you point out this defender is 4 yards away. This defender is 4 yards away. This defender is 3-1/2 yards away. Sort of a humorous moment for me. I like your enthusiasm. 😂
So that if the Lions fumble on a future handoff, the opposing linebackers and safeties are going to hesitate for a moment and think it might be a fake.
There is not a single defender with 5 yards, not a single one, don't ya know, there is not a single defender, a single defender? Not a single one within how many yards? 5 yards? Insane? What's insane? I'll tell you...; I sped this video up 2x and it still took forever.... how long? forever? Insane. Not a single one within how many yards; would u please repeat what u just said? Oh, wait, you already did? 2 times? How many ....? twice.
The play was against the non competitive NFL Bears. It looked better than it really was. New owners need for the Bears big time. Can’t believe the stadium sold out supporting this garbage. Loyal fans 🫤
crazy great, and the Line all yelling, "fumble, fumble." 😁
For real!!!
Gibbs said in post game he was yelling "BALL, BALL"
😂right
Exactly
Came here to say to turn up the audio, because they're yelling "fumble!"
Just excellent!!! Detroit Pride!! Our Lions are on fire!!!💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥.....
We need to give LaPorta the most credit for this play for that unbelievable catch. He literally plucked that ball out of the air with his finger nails.
Had them all fooled. Boys yelling FUMBLE while Laporta dances his way into the ballroom sized gap in the end zone. Ben Johnson is an evil genius lol
Surprised the referee's didn't throw a flag for something, I'm sure they were surprised as well

One of the greatest trick plays of all time. Don't think ive ever seen anything quite like it.
Great commentary, thank you!
Thats the kind of play thats gonna advance the league. These trick plays are going to genuinely become games of deception soon.
The worst thing about that play is that there’s really no way that you can do it again, teams aren’t going to fall for it again, but was indeed the greatest trick play I’ve ever seen
The Stumbleruski!!!

Thanks Bro!!!
@LionsSyndicateFilmRoom anytime Grid I'm just speaking the truth brother!
Brilliant...!
This is the best I've been able to feel about our season EVER, and this coaching staff is the greatest. Anyone think they'll get the recognition?
Brian Baldinger now has some serious competition in breaking down Lions play designs! Nicely done, D! 👊 👍
Appreciate that RG
That half second hesitation is an eternity In the NFL.
Man, this play borderline trolling and genius at the same time can imagine them doing this in the superbowl or NFC championship game 😂
Well it won't work then. Everybody else in the league has now seen this. They wasted the play on the tragic Bears.
I'm no Lions fan (Bucs since the 70s), but this play is worthy of old school NFL Films treatment and narration from John Facenda. Dan Campbell is a mad genius and I love the entertainment level he brings.

i can not stop watching these vids , lmfao !
The trip and roll
Great breakdown, brother! 💪
They've named it the "Stumble Bum".😂
Shit was WILD. I fkn love it. You aint lie man, you caught that ish right away.
Do it again and run a sweep against Minnesota.
The Stumble Rooski!
The best trick in history, but should have saved it for the Vikings in week 18.
Ah, plenty of time to interview some suburban kids and get some ideas for plays 😄
Towards the end of the season, other fan bases seem extra bitter. 😅
That was very exceptional.
It was good but the greatest? No way.
Yo. I kind of think the play against GB when he fell on the 4th down was designed. Ben Johnson is a beast
Yeah that had to be the inspiration for it lol
It wasn’t designed, the offensive lineman stepped on Goff’s foot
@@Saxman72241 We're quite aware of that but the fact that Goff stumbled against Greenbay lulled the Bears into believing that "Clumsy" Goff might've tripped AGAIN!

Go Lions!
The ultimate troll! I love it
Nice review. We all thought he tripped.
Ben Johnson saw the Packers game where Goff tripped on 4th down and said "I can use this."
I was thinking the same thing.
I bet the referee's wanted to throw a flag for something, surprised they didn't. I'm sure it fooled them as well
What set this play up was Goff's stumble at the end of the game against the Packers. People have seen Goff stumble. Only wish they'd saved it for a really critical moment, like the next Superbowl.
Just watch the Linebackers, they were just standing there. Craig Reynolds were all selling it on the sidelines... "BALLLLLLLL".
Not “fumblerooski”. But Bumblerooski!!! Da Bears, stumblin’ bumblin’ on defense…. THE BUMBLEROOSKI!!!!
Da Bears
Who?
I will call it the bumble ruski
Should’ve saved this for the Eagles or the when they might need it in the playoffs. Weird time to use it when you’re up 2 touchdowns.
thats who the bears have been all year long. it only works because the defener dose"t do he"s job and go with the guy the gets the TD. like they only lose the other game because the defender is busy talking to the fans on the hail mary. so yes we have seen this before.
Nah the greatest trick plays where by Brady when they needed them two points conversions in the Super Bowl
I wonder if Jamo was open? I imagine he had a step on his man as well.
Brian Hoyer did a fake fumble at MSU. Someone needs to interview him about that play..
That is correct. Went for a TD against Notre Dame and sealed a win at ND.
Had to subscribe over here too

Oh they have more. LETS HO LIONS!!!
ben johnson said the well is deep.
You think they don't have more
The got ALOTTAMO
I wish you would’ve mentioned how the play froze the linebackers…
😑
He did.
You think that play might have raised a few eyebrows from the Green Bay Packers?
👀
Finally got your other channel in my algorithm without you saying the name
Win for RUclips!
i call that the stumbleruski
Is was definitely nothing I've seen before....lets remember where it came from because soons someone like Mahomes does it...they'll forget

It was great, but why did they burn it against the Bumbling Bears?
We might have another one against fumbling Frisco
because ben johnson said the well is deep.
So that if the Lions fumble on a future handoff, the opposing linebackers and safeties are going to hesitate for a moment and think it might be a fake.
They got ALLOTAMO
Maybe it was a rehearsal and they'll do it again in a big game but with some variation.
It was good but I don't know if I would rank it as the greatest.
✊🏾
Not the first time. College team called it the fumble rooski.
This was the first time I’ve seen this
OMG 😂, just shut up and show the play.
Be nice if he'd just shut up and show the play.
play should be banned.. it's filthy!
greatest trick play EVER!? Lol no
thats all fine and dandy but campbell's legacy is totally butchering that Champ Game..just a looney tune
Greatest? what a joke
Vikings would destroy this lions team
We'll see in 2 weeks when you face us at ford field!
Like they did earlier this year?
Come on, man. Our D isn't the greatest, but we can put up points with the weapons we got. And it's in Ford Field?
They Vikings barely won (and should've loss to the Seahawks). I guess continue to be obsessed with the Lions.
😂😂😂 We already beat you once, genius. Cant wait to SWEEP the NFC north and we beat the overrated Vikings.
@@c-tha-man9463Bruh that's the absolute truth. I'm ticked off at Geno for that interception. Like What the actual F*ck?
Greatest ever??? Sure if you are just looking for views. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Yet you clicked so…🤷🏽♂️
Man can u just run the play.dame

Chicago is like Detroit, great fans no matter how bad the teams are
Oh, some call it loyalty, some call it stupidity
