Here in WA They clip the ear when a feral cat is spayed or neutered.
Nevada does that too. At least they were suppose to last I checked.

And in Houston, Tx...a feral cat,once it's fixed,the ear is also chipped.

What a beautiful girl. So about the ear. Sometimes animals that are captured , fixed and released have their ear tips cut so people can identify them as a fixed animal. Of course it could have been from a fight or accident but cutting the tip like that is one thing that could have been done to identify her medical health history. I’m from Illinois. We have local organizations that capture outside cats , fix them and then release them back outside. Shelters are too full so these folks to it to help them cut down on too many kittens. It’s so sad. I wish we could save them all. They are so resilient. Thanks for all you do. I watch you daily. Pisces ♓️ ❤. Love you Jennifer and your vibes. Thanks for saving so many animals.

Thank you ! I have a black & white cat that came around during the summer when we were outside more and grilling out. Now because, yes I started feeding her, she is very loving. One of her ears it tipped, but she looks pregnant. I have bought flea medicine and treated her last month, but I need to do it again. She will come in and stay inside for a little while but meows and goes to the door to go back outside even when it was very cold and snow on the ground. I noticed one of the vents is out that goes under my home, and I have seen her come out from there. I am trying to make her an inside cat, but it is very hard.

I hope you took that beautiful girl home with you,it would be so sad to leave her behind,Ive rescued over thirty years at keast 150 cats afew discarded pets people literally go rid of and ferals I worked with to to correct thrir behavior,which went well and then took them to shelters here in Toronto,Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 💔 where they were all adopted,Jen,the best reward was the way I felt inside helping these discarded and unwanted Angels"dry mibble and water is not a lot that they ask for more important a kind and loving home,where they are safe from harm!

Hi Jennifer I know that here in Arizona they clip the tip off of one ear when they spay a stray cat. That way they can easily identify cats that are spayed.

The ear is because she probably got neutered. They do that to stray cats when they operate so that other people know if she ever steps into a vet clinic again. It's nice to see that is done in other parts of the world too. It might seem cruel at first but it's for the better. This world is too full of dangers for tiny little cats to wander about. They get ran over by cars to many times unfortunatelly :(. She is lovely and friendly, she dezerves a home

They do that to their ears when they’re wild (no official owner), catch and release, it means she’s been spayed and someone hopefully takes her in to get her shots if they’re feeding her
