I love organizing videos. Always feels good when you go from messy to organized. I recently just bought a desk drawer tray organizer for my makeup vanity. Works great. I don’t have a ton of makeup so this really helped keep things organized in my drawer.
I agree, it’s such a great feeling. I had a plastic, unused utensils tray that I now put my makeup brushes in. It fits the drawer perfectly and the dual ended brushes fit nicely.
Those were my fave iteration of old school lip stains! The Covergirl & Neutrogena markers always clung to dry patches & disappeared everywhere else, lmao One of my biggest recommendations for a "modern" take is the Wet N Wild Stained Glass!! I have Reflective Kisses [comes off like a poppy red on me] & Handle with Care [a beige nude].
I use a white lash primer with my deep purple mascara and it helps actually show the colour. Otherwise I don’t find they make a difference. I even use it under my brown tubing mascara & it wears and removes the same, only shows up a little more brown ; which is my goal 💕

I am watching the news, and hearing about all of the reports of tornados ripping across the Midwest this Spring. I can't help but think about what you said recently about Spring not being your favorite season because of the threat of dangerous storms. I feel you! I live back in Phoenix now, but I moved to Texas when my son was about two years old. We lived there for about two years. At the time, I was naive enough to not realize that Ft. Worth was in Tornado Alley!! I don't think I would have agreed to move there after getting out of The Marines had I known that. 🥴 Thinking about you and praying for safety for you all!! ❤️🙏❤️
I love how your drawers don't discriminate, high end lives right next door to DG. I really appreciate you are so not a brand snob, because sometimes some of us can only splurge very seldom and the bulk of if in a collection is DG stuff or markdowns. At least that is the case for me. High end I generally only buy if it is 50 to 75% off otherwise I just can't buy it without cringing on the inside .

I got the Covergirl lip stain in Tangelo - orange! It definitely lasts - I've started putting it on before bed then it leaves a nice gentle stain to my lips in the morning and I can apply my liner and some gloss - it looks great.

Many years ago, I had a temp job for a few days working for a big make up brand. They were doing a major new line launch. I was given a spreadsheet and my job was to pick and pack boxes to send to journolists and reviewers for magazines, tv, newspapers (before YT was a thing). I told me what shades etc to send. It was very hard on the feet walking around the shelves all day in a windowless room!

I picked up one of those Covergirl marker lippies a couple of weeks ago, I got Sugey Girl, which is almost the exact shade of my lips, been lining with it and filling in a little around the edges and then putting a lip oil over it. It’s nice-if it stayed put I would love it but it’s gone quickly.

Agree..very grateful when brands that I am interesting in or learning about without any commitment..however..at the beginning was very exciting when they reach out ( after we filter through so many scam brand emails) ...however.. can become overwhelming as we only have one face and not our career ..as well as staying organized too..hoping your color drawers help you...also so hard to have go to products when trying so much new..fun when you can go back to a foundation that you enjoyed and find out you still do!!

I have a similar rainbow shelf drawer that l got at Michael's. It has 7 different color drawers of the rainbow i have 2 of them that l keep all my makeup. In each drawer l have something different, blush, foundation, shadow, lipstick, powders, concealers , etc. I love them.. Use some of those small divider baskets to keep them organized

Like the organization. If I had a lot of makeup stuff I probably would have the same thing. If they had a smaller version then I would probably buy it. Like being organized. Somethings I think I'm over organizing (if that's possible)
I had that exact same drawer caddy and loved it so much! One time I forgot to put it away and my guy friend was over and saw it. He pointed to it and said "is that all makeup?" I said yes and skincare. He freaked out and started to shame me for spending so much on makeup. I told him I buy most stuff on sale from the drugstore, sets and free samples and also I bought that stuff over years. He told me it didn't matter bc his exwife bought makeup so he knew how much it costs and it is all expensive and I was wasting my money. It was pretty embarrassing. In retrospect I should have kicked him out and ended the friendship. This is the same guy that admitted he spends $4000/month on alcohol and eating out so who is he to judge my spending???
I like your new organization-The colorful drawers really sparkle, and it’s a cute cart! I would be interested in your thoughts about tinted sunscreen. I use it often as a quick alternative and have tried a couple brands. Are there pros and cons? Inquiring minds want to know!😁
We have some tentative plans to re-do our den/rec room this summer and in doing so will allow me to have a vanity set-up in our master bedroom! I'm excited to be able to move all of my makeup out of my tiny master bathroom and get it organized! Thanks for the inspiration!
Ooooh!! I bought that LA colors liquid blush in the lipgloss looking tube a month or so ago at the dollar store-I like it so much I went back and got every color and multiples of one shade. It’s very pretty on.
I bought that thing at Costco in the late 90’s. Yes. It’s been around that long. Used it for homeschooling. $20 in those days. Sitting in my garage now. Might need to oil the drawers so they are easier to open. Maybe just mine. I use it for tools now. Lol

Oooh. New lip oils! I am loving lip oils at home for keeping my older lips happy. I haven’t seen those Essence versions. I do love my Essence holiday limited edition so much I picked up a second one before they sold out.

I love the cart! Mine was my Mom’s and I use it in my speech/language therapy room at school! When I retire it’s coming home with me for makeup use!!❤
