I wonder how many casual players will change their minds about Sephiroth after watching this flashback. Allowing the player to play as the guy is such a sneaky way to get more intimate with him and a masterful way of showing his fall from grace.
I love the difference in Sephiroth's voice here: he's not speaking in that elevated "i'm more than human" manner he does in the present. Only going off a small snippet of dialogue, there's a dash of ego and condescension about him, but he's much more amiable, like I can believe it's the same guy pre heel turn. Makes me optimistic that just like Remake, we're gonna have a lot of those little scenes with subtle characterisation, adore that stuff.
How come they didn't invite you to play the demo? You deserve to be invited because of all the enthusiasm and content you have brought us with this series. I am of course saying this with love. We are thankful for baby seal for providing this content for you to talk about.
100% that this is finally the culmination of everything Square Enix -- and especially CBU1 -- have been working toward over the past 2 decades. I have had issues with SO MANY elements of FF games over that period of time -- acting, exploration, dialogue writing, combat, etc -- and this is the first time all of that finally feels "right." I wanted FF7 Remake 10-15 years ago, but I'm so happy that they waited so long to make it. They are at the peak of their powers just in time to reimagine my favorite FF game of all time.

Wow, not only are they bringing in chocobo from FF9 and pre- ff7 FFs. But the chocobo sense like we get with "Chocobo Hot and Cold" in FF9. This stuff isn't making it easy to wait for Part 3 and the complete edition. Also, that's Cowgirl Tifa to you. 😂 Sorry, I had to.
FF7 Rebirth open map ???, that not the impression i got from Kinda funny - easy allies - skillup, more like large zone with invisible walls... if they have open world map don't you think they will show it to make great first impression like Spderman 2... and the combat in FF7 Rebirth not that different than FF7 Part 1... they still using the same unreal Engine 4 so expect the same limitation...
It’s confirmed by the developers to be a 100% seamless massive 1 to 1 world map, they took the original FF7 world map and made it full scale. You can walk across the entire world and all towns and dungeons with no loading. Anything else you heard is not true! Check the interview, it’s amazing!
