honestly tho coaches do have a lot of impact on how teams play but it still depends on the players to come out and preform. I think we have to wait and see he said a lot of the right things like holding your stars accountable and force them to play more defense so hopefully he straightens out this young team.
Obviously no-one looked at his resume--probably a buddy hire--and really I don't care about the sens but even the dimmest bulb must be questioning this hire
I think I'm speaking for most Sens fans here when I say that this feels like a typical, good 'ol Sens "budget" hire (like the Melnyk days). After the shit show which was last season, we were really hoping for some big, sweeping changes. This ain't it.
Bla, bla, bla, bla,.... how many times have we heard this before from the Ottawa Rainbows Warriors governance? Far to many with very little results . Staios and Andlauer are proving to be Bettman's garage leagues YES Men. In with the New Boss same as the Old Boss...arse lickers.
Staios does not inspire confidence for me. First of all, he was molded in Toronto. On July 25, 2012, Staios was named Player Development Adviser for the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs. On December 4, 2014, he was named the Maple Leafs Manager of Player Development. After the firing of head coach Randy Carlyle on January 6, 2015, Staios moved behind the bench to support the Leafs' interim coaching staff. Travis Green played for the Leafs. DJ Smith was an assistant coach for the Leafs. Why are the Sens often hiring ex-Leafs products ? Yet, they have not won the Stanley Cup since 1967.

It is actually a good fit.
If it's a joke
Staios brought Poulin in to be his right hand man. These aren’t stupid guys. Coaching pick is good. Don’t listen to randos on the jnternet.
Stats don't lie, dude is a bum
@@CurtisWithoutHandles based on that half the successful coaches today would never have been hired. Talk in 10 months
Right, so what exactly are you, if not a "rando on the jnternet" ?
@@datriaxsondor590...someone smart enough to let the people who interviewed Green make the decision ?

Reassuring conversation.
I got a bad feeling about this hire lmao DJ 2.0, hope he can prove me wrong
He said the talks went on with him for awhile. Yet it wasn’t long ago that he asked to talk to him. Something doesn’t seem right.
The lengthy process I think is in reference to looking for a coach since December and narrowing down.
it's called "talking out ur ass" lol
crazy how bad this gm is so far... every move he's done is insanely bad

I have a feeling that neither Green or Staios, will be there within 2 years time. What an idiotic hire.
Was he really the best available candidate?
Probably the best one that was actually willing to coach the team with the worst sv% in the league.. Bad goaltending ruins coaching careers.
Probably the only one willing to coach in boring ass Ottawa!
@@alfiesmullet1311Green was willing to be the lowest paid head coach in the NHL.
Staios is a dummy. Travis Green was rejected by the Devils and the Sens picked him up from the scrap heap.
Hahaha,🙂
