The whole reason I loved those 'chip' decks where there's 'nothing you can do' was because that meant you could actually go past the elite barbs, Royal giants and all the new op legendaries & p2w players. Clash Royale depends a lot on levelling & especially having high levelled 'new' cards that the opponents will have less idea about. In that scenario hog 2.6 & chip decks are the only way to consistently beat any challenge the game throws at you & it took a lot of skill. Atleast back in my day

Hog 2.6 is just like mosr cycle decks. High skill in micro, meaning you can get crazy defences with cheap cards, low skill in macro (relatively), you dont get punished for mismanaging elixer as hard, leading to the annoying hog and spell spam people hate. Its just a different play style, its annoying but still takes skill.

I don't use 2.6 but I draw inspiration from it and I can say that while people who drop pekka or megaknight at the bridge are no skill, if you are playing against someone with no skill then it doesnt take much skill to defend either. Like if someone puts pekka in the back I can just push the other side so they cant support it then drag their pekka around with skeletons and ice spirit while my dart gob and tower kills it.
Hog deck is no skill. You use the same hog firecracker attack ever game. It's the only way you win the match! If you had skill you would build your own deck instead of copying a deck you know that works. That millions of other use..... Thats not skill your just a unoriginal uncreative sheep
Every deck is high skill. I and most pros consider cycle decks like hog 2.6 the highest skill decks overall. For example with hog 2.6 if you screw up one ice golem placement or do a bad cannon and ice spirit placement your whole tower is gone. The reason cycle decks are a more skillful decks than beat down is because they are far less forgiving. You can screw up multiple placements with beat down and still take little to no damage and easily win the game. With cycle decks you make those same couple mistakes and you’ve already lost the game. I enjoy both cycle decks and beat down decks and have hit ultimate champion with both. Beatdown is by far the easier archetype but I find cycle decks far more enjoyable.
No man on this earth can convince me that the midladder mega knight pekka sparky decks are high skill. The only time they win is when there’s a 2 card level difference.

It is high skill with all the mini interactions on defense, but on offense it is brainrot when you spam hog rider and spell cycle and the game becomes repetitive and annoying when you can't do anything against spells
Your take on the game is spot on, I've always said the same. Back In 2017/2018 I was a 2.6 player, I always floated around 1200th-1500th on ladder. I believe that was about 6300 trophies back then. Haven't played clash in 5 years and stumbled across your videos about 2 weeks ago. I've since downloaded clash and I'm back with 2.6. But my game knowledge now is below average. I've got alot of work to do, but I'll be back in the top 2000 on ladder with 2.6 again one day

When I started playing heavy was like 2 years ago and I just kinda somehow found that deck I mean I've changed it up somewhat to fit my style but it's still really cheap to cycle and like the video said defending feels amazing, defending a balloon,pekka,mega knight, honestly whatever you think is the most annoying card is with little to nothing when it comes to troops with heavy DPS feels amazing. Ngl tho it's sweaty gotta be on point with placements and keeping track of the opponents cards. (My main deck that I use most now is goblin barrel log bait with a evo firecracker, and either a evo knight or evo Valkyrie. Tho sometimes I'll use evo musketeer in place of the firecracker. Also when bored switch the evo knight/Valkyrie with the evo ice spirit)
